@SurvivalBobGaming there's a mod called FSD Supercruise that functions like a replacement for the warp drive. It ramps up your speed drastically (like 10x base) by using massive amounts of power. A cool trade-off, and iirc when stopping it functions like the warp drive so it'll just stop you. I also know it stops before entering gravity fields so that might help avoid certain situations haha

Hey Bob, great series, just wanted to let you know that a good way to flip a ship or rover is to build batteries in a stack off one side. Just place the frames, no need to fully build them, and they will have the same weight as if they were the finished product. Because batteries are fairly heavy and you are making a long arm you can almost always lever a ship/rover upright. Best part is the only thing that breaks when you roll over is the battery shells. Hope that helps if you ever flip anything, which because you are a professional Bob, seems likely :)
Being this is 7 months ago, I sure hope you have learned about Gyroscope Override to be able to flip things you've turtled. Love these vids....Gives me a chuckle thinking back to when I first started SE. I just started playing again after being out of it for a while.
Got to love how entertaining your videos are. Can’t believe you made it for so long without putting a couple of batteries on your base to help with that power issue.
Oh man I knew what was coming when you rotated axis in full gravity 🤣 New video was worth the wait! Thank you so much! I agree. It sucked at the time, but I love early game when everything is a challenge and felt like trying to start over from Mars would be fun!
@@SurvivalBobGaming If you ever run into this problem again, keep in mind that while in that bubble you and your ship cannot take any damage. When your ship flips over in a gravity well, use the over ride feature on the gyroscope in the control tab. its more powerful then using the movement on the mouse or the q and e buttons. 3 things Bob when in need of saving resources use interior blocks for scaffolding they require a lot less iron. You do not have to finish the landing gear In order for it to lock down. And finally when in a desperate situation for power one good way to fix it is by placing a large grid rotor don’t build it. Grind off the head then go to the control panel and add a small rotor head to it. This will allow you to build small grid batteries o2h2 and hydrogen engines. Much less resource intensive and will help you build the larger variants while you can’t transfer o2or h they will share power between the grid/sub grid .

Lol - Great to see another episode of this Bob! 😊 Seems like you made your own Escape from Mars Scenario now.. haha. Btw, Ion Thrusters should be fine on the Moon though - as gravity is much lower on moons.
@@Cinco555WasTaken There is some gravity pulling towards the lunar surface, if you don't have enough trust the craft will fall, same as if you shut down the engines, and if you leave a ship hovering over the lunar surface it will consume more power/fuel than if it was in zero g space. Another thing is the more mass the slower a ship accelerates and decelerate, ion is not as powerful for safe maneuvering as hydrogen but if you are careful it will work just fine. Hydro thrusters have tons more thrusts, so you can make do with less and smaller ones, saving some weight and space as well as resources. Ion engines are kind of heavy plus the batteries and generators. Its also a matter what you want to power your craft, if you have trouble generating electricity you might want to go hydro, if you unlock nuclear generators and have enough uranium then run ions. That said, you are correct that ion thrusters will do nothing in atmosphere.

I highly recommend Engineers build at least one cheap vehicle to zip around in to save from relying on your suit. A seat, battery, hydrogen tank, and one thruster per side can really help get around. Like having a scooter or golf cart.
Ive got 2500h in this game, and watching someone play like this is really refreshing. And yes, a life of piracy is extremely easy. Fun fact: if you use a ship grinder on a neutral ship, you don't lose reputation. You should make a massive grinder ship with a bunch of cargo space next, and scrap anything you come across

Thanks for a great episode, I headed to watch another. Looking forward to seeing how you get out of this mess on mars..
I have 3 tips for building combat focused ships. The main one is more types of weapons the worse for survival, especially for non capital ship. Your main ship that will be what makes all the ammo can generally have more types. But unless you got scripts going to manage your ammo levels it just makes it harder to know if you need ammo and what ammo. That issue get worse when you need to load your fighters with ammo and have 3-4 different types to grab. Scripts can completely remove those issue mainly Isy's Inventory manager. Even though I have used that script in my ships for 4+ years (I think) now, I still don't rely on it cause setting up script tends to add another 10+ hours to ship building. I say 10+ cause my dyslexia makes all that take twice as long as most people would I imagine. The second tip would be don't put all your eggs in 1 basket cause things go BOOM. Basically just don't put all your hydrogen tanks in 1 exposed spot and all your ammo in 1 container. The last combat focused tip would be you just need 2 directions of thrust on 2 different axis's. The most common ones are upward and forward thrust but you could do backwards and right thrust if you wanted. You still need all 6 directions of thrust but 2 lets you through use of rolling basically have powerful thrust in all directions to dodge projectiles with. Keeping that in mined with all ship really about what do I need the ship to do and so where should I put thrusters is helpful for all ship mostly miners and combat ones though. Just to try and add more clarity cause I suck as explaining things: You make an atmospheric miner with it's drills facing forward relative to the cockpit. To be able to mine without to much worry about crashing you most likely want backwards and upwards thrust to be your main focus and only a little bit of downwards because you have gravity but you still need some in case you tip to far forward. (Learnt that one the hard way more times than I care to admit.) On mining in atmosphere the easiest miner to use it something that doesn't mine much and is easy to replace. like a drill cockpit and medium cargo container for storage and that's it. Or as call it a jelly miner where you basically only have down thrust and have your drills facing down and just go up and down. Good for ice but only useful when scaled up to be large so the cargo size makes up for how slow it is. Also not to do with combat at all but never settle for good enough for your ships cause building good ships takes hundreds if not thousands of hours and you can look at others ships for idea of steal bits off of if you can't think of a good way to do something you want to do. I don't think I made a ship I would call good now until I had over 1000 hours in the game and it's because I started putting in the extra 10% stuff that can double the time to make a ship. Stuff like slightly changing the shade of paint or changing the textures to add detail. My point cause I got off topic was that you want to always push what you try to build with each ship maybe don't constantly change a ship that is going to get destroyed. But In a world where you will be spending a few dozen hours on then it's a good idea to keep working on that capital ship you are using as your base or what ever. Don't have to be big things but things like going back and adding new functions like missiles or more cargo or what ever. Or adding detail where there wasn't before. A side note on detail a very useful thing for making good ships and is the thing I suggest to work on first is greebling. If you ever got super super big into Lego as a kid or teen you might know this already but it's basically adding detail/texture through shape usually small details like slightly insetting something. Think off all those little structures on an Imperial Star Destroy, that's greebling. As I understand it at least, I could be wrong in some ways. Great video and I hope to see more.
Made it to the end! I have over 2300 hours in game and enjoyed watching you go through similar trials and tribulations. If you ever want any tips, feel free to ask.
When your vehicle rolls over you can stack blocks in a straight line and put batteries at the end (no need to build them). Turn them over by changing the center of gravity. Because the weight of the block is the same whether it is built or not.
When you want to build a small ship you can use the rotor to install the small rotor head. The rotor can provide power directly and if you install the advanced rotor head and connect the conveyor you can also directly refuel.
I, not sure if you know this but by pressing right click while selecting a mining tool ( ie drills ) you can mine out a bigger area but you do not get any of the materials you mined by doing that. It is pretty useful to make wholes in terrain among other things. Also if you don’t know this already you should learn about the build planer feature it makes your life a whole lot easier in survival. There are some tutorials about it and I would recommend you to check them out.
Loved the video bob! Thank you so much for the entertainment... Also...make sure to add more thrusters to all sides of your ships next time...and dont forget... Welders are HOT
Really good watch while I wait for day to come, as I have modded my simulation to have pitch black nights, and I forgot to put lights on my light scout ship
You can disable the "cleaning" so it will stop deleting grids without power, or adjust the settings to your liking, its specially useful for single player survival runs because of all the things you went through loosing materials when it deleted your unfinished grids. It might seem like cheating but this is a feature added to stop multiplayer games from becoming unimageable cuz of bloating after a while. My buddy and I run the cleanup process semi manually. Basically just let it run on deleting chunks that are flying away and are very far, and then we let it delete bits of unpowered grids when we choose. This way we minimize the chances of loosing vehicles because of oopsies or clang.

Lol - Great to see another episode of this Bob! 😊
Seems like you made your own Escape from Mars Scenario now.. haha.
Btw, Ion Thrusters should be fine on the Moon though - as gravity is much lower on moons.
Thanks! As long as you have enough of them they work, but I did get an ion miner I bought stuck last time I played.
Ion thrusters don’t work in atmosphere, it’s not gravity based
@@Cinco555WasTaken There is some gravity pulling towards the lunar surface, if you don't have enough trust the craft will fall, same as if you shut down the engines, and if you leave a ship hovering over the lunar surface it will consume more power/fuel than if it was in zero g space.
@@stratometalthat's a lot of text to just agree with them dude
This is one of my favorite games, and as an avid plushie addic...er um collector I would've been so mad about having that plushie yanked from me like that🤣 more so then loosing half mil in superconductors. Watched your other 100days of SE a while back. Good content 🤙 Please keep doing these
Thanks! The plushie was the last straw I’m turning me to a life of crime…lol
@@SurvivalBobGaming just a quick tip you can cycle what systems your weapons aim at(weapons, propulsion, power systems) in the control menu, or set a hot key to cycle through the options on your hot bar. Handy for a life of piracy to ensure your spoils don't get too damaged🤙
Oh! Great tip! Thanks 🙏
Please please please, carry on this series. I can't wait to see how you go on big red
"I paid my respects and headed out....suck it 😐🏃♂️" killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really great vid, Bob. One of my 'best' experiences was crashing in a freighter on Europa and having to jerry-build a ship from the wreckage. It's a real achivement to get it done.
Thanks! I think it will be fun, and frustrating too. 😂
Gotta Jump-fly (dampeners off, just maintain altitude till you need to land), or at least glide (front thursters off) to save fuel. Love the vids
I really enjoyed watching your space engineer videos today. Thanks for sharing!!
Bob is one of the best things to ever happen to SE, some of my recent shenanigans ive recognize as a Bob move lmao
Embrace the bob in you.
BROOOOO YESSSSS!!! i'm stoked! just opened the video and i'm stoked to see it! loved the last one and i'm here for this my man!
first 15 seconds "inertia" gonna be a good video. i can feel it. LMFAO.
Thanks brother! Hope you enjoyed it!
@@SurvivalBobGaming LOVED THE VID MAN! i think the crashed survivor idea on Mars is a sick idea and i'd love to see it!!! i haven't gotten the game yet but i'll for sure use your link to help support more content! 😌 the inertia deaths always make me fall apart laughing hahahaha i am expecting to do the saaaaame thing a few hundred times at least.
@@codycain5421 thanks buddy! Please try and learn from my mistakes! 😂
I enjoyed challenging myself on an official server and only use keen builds to survive. It was a lot of fun. They have a lot of really good builds.
i liked your first 100 day video so much that i was disappointed there wasnt more content like this, keep up the good work
These take a while (3-4 weeks) and I’ve been taking some vacation this summer. My plan is for at least one a month.
I highly recommend Engineers build at least one cheap vehicle to zip around in to save from relying on your suit.
A seat, battery, hydrogen tank, and one thruster per side can really help get around. Like having a scooter or golf cart.
Bob I must say we just met but you are already one of my favorites, thanks for also including the mods you use!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it for yourself!
This Video was like watching a Movie. And I was on the edge of my seat to see the next adventure hoping the vid wouldn't end. Nice ty.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Love these videos so much great work man!
Thanks!
I really enjoyed this. It makes me feel so much better about how my space engineers saves always seem to go. haha. You take it in stride and keep pushing forward and I appreciate that!! Thanks for a great episode, I headed to watch another. Looking forward to seeing how you get out of this mess on mars..
Thanks there’s one on earth. This was my 2nd
If you want quiet tools you can just turn on realistic sound since having your visor down muffles everything which is nice
I loved it, "Hi I am Bob, I am into log walks in Space and Blowing myself up." that was so funny....keep it up
Thank you!
Thank you for a wonderful and hilarious video. You have gained a fan
🙏thank you!
While this might be an older upload of yours - I'm only 12 minutes in and I am so stupidly entertained by this wow. Great job dude!
Thanks so much for the tips! It can be really overwhelming in the beginning, but I’m having a lot of fun!
again super fun, SE is so hard some times... but that what it makes it fun also, the gratification alter :) good job!
Made it to the end! I have over 2300 hours in game and enjoyed watching you go through similar trials and tribulations. If you ever want any tips, feel free to ask.
Awesome, thank you!
quick tip respawn rovers have a speed limit go to the wheels interface and you can see the set limit

KUSS Station Inhabitants: You saved us Bob!
Bob: More like under new management.
😂😂😂
I built Ion Thrusters on my Moon Mining ship...as I only need it for my Frigates tanks thankfully. Also am really loving the Gravel Resource Mod
Every mishap you had in this ep. "Been there, done dat". Great vid.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Astronaut about to open airlock: Do I have my helmet on?
Important question
When your vehicle rolls over you can stack blocks in a straight line and put batteries at the end (no need to build them).
Turn them over by changing the center of gravity.
Because the weight of the block is the same whether it is built or not.
When you want to build a small ship you can use the rotor to install the small rotor head.
The rotor can provide power directly and if you install the advanced rotor head and connect the conveyor you can also directly refuel.
This is so good! I hope u get a lot of views bc i want more of this. The vid is great
I, not sure if you know this but by pressing right click while selecting a mining tool ( ie drills ) you can mine out a bigger area but you do not get any of the materials you mined by doing that. It is pretty useful to make wholes in terrain among other things.
Also if you don’t know this already you should learn about the build planer feature it makes your life a whole lot easier in survival. There are some tutorials about it and I would recommend you to check them out.
Thanks! I do know about those. I just didn’t show much of it in the video. That’s how I made the holes to mine ores.
If you need to flip a vehicle, you can use actual engineering/physics to build a long armor lever and hopping on it. All you need is steel plates.
Awesome vid! I am on PC and want to play with my son who is on Xbox. Are all the mods available on PC also available on Xbox? Thanks!
lol attacking without ammo, abbandon ship and start attacking with your grinder xD. Insane i love it xD. Rolling over the floor here xD
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the video bob!
Thank you so much for the entertainment...
Also...make sure to add more thrusters to all sides of your ships next time...and dont forget... Welders are HOT
Thanks brother!
Yeah, I really need to do that next time.
I think it'd be awesome to see you try to survive crashed on that planet and get back to the big beauty.
