Love the inspiration of these watches obvs! Not as fun looking as some were hoping but Great lume dial! And a Swiss movement certainly costs more than a Chinese one!;)
Britt, your personality shines through in this episode and watching you put a smile on my face (I am stuck at home recovering from a foot injury). I like Studio Underdog (especially the Watermelon chrono). These field watches look good, and the fully lumed dials, excellent straps and Swiss movements are all pluses. Not a huge fan of the two exposed screws holding the dials together. Cheers!
I am a proud owner of the Mint Choc Chip Chrono from Studio Underd0g. I love that they are now doing a field watch I just wish it was a bit larger. That wonderful midnight model (that green strap is sooooo good) would look like a kids watch on my 7.25" (18+ cm) wrist, 38mm case size is my cut off. But I understand trying to maximize appeal with a single case size. Great new addition to their line up. I wish Studio Underd0g nothing but continued success.

800 seems a bit steep for me. The point of microbrands is that they're supposed to bring 'luxury' watches to the masses, at this price their a bit out my price range I think.
I've also found myself to be leaning towards closed casebacks recently. Maybe it's just that they are thinner and mean a better wearing experience. Or maybe that my auto watches are all seiko 5s and they don't have the best decorated movements so I'd just rather have a thinner, closed one rather than a thicker, display caseback.
Great video Britt! Loved the way you introduced the new watches and the vintage-style video effects when explaining why they created them! If you're ever interested in checking out another fun bunch of watches please don't hesitate to reach out! Hope all is well! Cheers, Ben

It's almost like the watch industry / media is trying to push us towards these....🤔

What happens if you miss the 9 hour slot, is the only other way to get them from the gray market then?
I'm a new subscriber, but I just want to say how much I like your style. Love the watch as well, as I usually do Studio Underdog watches. That dial is just absolutely genius, that sapphire on top of the luminescent dial...it sort of gives it an enamel look and takes the watch almost to a dressy level. Well done! One question though: shouldn't we be referring to the company as Studio Upper-dog by now, after so many homerun designs and watches? Just a silly thought...

These are gorgeous and very interesting watches, with the choice between fun or conventional colours. I guess the two-layer dial creates a very interesting effect. But why the closed case back? This hand wind movement is worth seeing.

Funny enough, or not to my eye they kinda look more like German navy WW2 issued watches(made by Alpina and others), especially the pale dials. The lume is brilliant. 😄 The dial construction is very fancy. Nice watches, especially for the money. 👍
Studio Underdog is much more interesting to me than yet another video ode to the Rolex Batgirl. Studio Underdog represents the new crop of microbrands which have been spawned by industrial designers instead of watchmakers and which likely may become more consequential over the course of time as they develop not just a following but a progressively higher level of horological value. A 37mm diameter watch with a Sellita movement, a quality strap and an interesting aesthetic for $1,000 USD is definitely attractive. The term fashion watch is regarded as a pejorative but that is just what these industrial designed watches are: thoughtful fashion watches at a price point that allows one to have more than one watch. The purchasing calculus will not be based on horological values but rather what watch or type of watch goes with mostly casual male and females wardrobes. This is being written with a grand feu enameled dialed watch on my wrist which is appropriate for what I have to do today and where I am going but most days a playful Studio Underdog reference or a less playful Unimatic reference would work just fine with my post-industrial egalitarian wardrobe based heavily on denim. As the bubble economy bursts, there will likely be new paradigms of consumption that will not be kindly to mass retailers of luxury goods who depend upon multiple purchases by the same consumer. The Swiss watch industry has done great selling more expensive watches to people who already have expensive watches. If the bubble bursts, the number of watches sold and the average price of the watches sold will in all probability trend downward. As the Swiss industry declines, the new progressives of well designed egalitarian horology like Studio Underdog and Unimatic are going to do better and better even in places like Regent Street.

Honestly I know often say that watches look better on your husband's wrists, but during the side by side, i think this one fit you better (especially the black!)
I'm mixed on these. They are nicely done, but I was hoping for something bolder. The teasers showing the jellyfish on the back made me hope for a dive watch, which I don't necessarily need more of but offers a nice canvas for playing with colors. Then again, Farer already is camping out in that space. The pink lemonade one is the only one that speaks to me but only partially and the colors don't really work that well for me. I do wonder if they'll introduce more color gradients after they get more experience making the lume gradient effect at scale.
I’d never wear them, but I totally love them. I subscribe to Adrian’s Captain Boring Newsletter, so I’m forbidden to indulge in such frivolity according to the mission statement of the Boring Club.

L O L. WHY DID I DO THAT?! Bahaha. I might try to put time LIMITS on future videos ;) but... I'm a talker... So that could be dangerous ahha!
What is your order of preference after black? I keep changing my mind on which one to get between the lemonade, moon and stefanie..
I want these damn things.
I’d never wear them, but I totally love them. I subscribe to Adrian’s Captain Boring Newsletter, so I’m forbidden to indulge in such frivolity according to the mission statement of the Boring Club.
It’s about time you gave micros some love.
about $1600 CAD by the time it would get in my front door. As nice as it looks, no thanks.
You know, quite a few people have commented on the price! I wish I asked Richard in advance!
@@BrittPearceWatches I'm sure that they have a good reason for charging what they do but It's above my watch purchase comfort level. Don't ask me what I've spent on camera equipment though!🙂
I'm assuming you used a 20% duties and taxes rate after converting from usd to cad?
And right there a new legendary term is born in horological culture “Lume Daddies “😂😊
Wtf is the red and blue flannel pink sweatpants look 😂
Proud owner of a Waterme0n, Mint Ch0c Chip and awaiting delivery of a Panda and a Desert Sky! And I was able to pre-0rder a Pink Lem0nade at Wind Up last weekend!!
Wow did you set your alarm for this one? I just got the email about the launch and you've managed to get a video up already? Britt is on it faster than a ferret up a drainpipe.
I don't think these are limited as you claim.
Getting closer to 100k! My prediction- end of the year!
OK. So now we get a Patron Dance! YES!!!!!!!!
"I just think they're romantic and oldy-worldy." Hey! I'M romantic and oldy-worldy! (or rather, just old.😳) This suits me. I may have to get one as a general purpose bum-around watch. With STYLE! I like it. "Steffany Blue" looks cute! But perhaps the white for me. ⌚😎🥃
These look awesome!!
Incredible watches 😎
But what about that Pope Tier Patron dance……..that was epic B 😅
You are the best 😎
