I’m retired after 49 years in the aviation industry. I’ve maintained general aviation aircraft, charter and corporate aircraft and ran my own aircraft maintenance and repair shop certified by the FAA. Oh, and my first real mop at 16 & 17 years old during the summer I worked in the concrete construction business. Manual laborer carrying up to 4’x8’ forms for house foundations, retaining walls, sidewalks and patios. That was in 1967 and 1968. That was how I learned what hard work was. Joined the USN 1-1969 and they trusted me maintaining jet engines and that got me hooked in aviation. I have great respect in what you do. 😎
Incredible! ...and thanks for the update. It obvious from the day I started following you from pouring a slab for a wood kiln that you worked on! However, as a 32 year Navy veteran, I'm really beginning understand what I've truly served for. My hats off to you, American..!
Hey Jeremy, Love the JSF vlog, keep them coming! I work in Southeast Iowa at a major construction equipment manufacturer as a Test Technician in an engineering test lab. I've done performance/endurance/structural/electrical testing on all of the equipment that you use in these videos, just a different brand. I'm 35 and have been doing this for 11 years and really enjoy going to work every day.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I've been renovating homes and trailers on and off for the 12 years. Been more serious about it for the past 4 years. Best part of it is that I only work with one other person.
25 years in construction. My company does concrete, excavating and snow removal. Bought my first sawmill this last summer, a Wood-Mizer LT70 and have it setup in TN on our family's 300 acre property.
Great video Jeremy. I spent 25 years as an electrician and the past 5 years as Director of Facilities for a Senior Housing Management company. I now oversee construction and maintenance for 30 properties throughout Michigan
Sweet Gordon. You can go back to see when the golf hole started. The viewers on this channel didn’t seem to enjoy golf content so I started the Spud Run version. Enjoy my friend.
@@CairnCreek I think I'll enjoy it even more. As soon as I saw that sawmill I had to come over!! Amazing work and life you have built for yourself, feel privileged to be able to see some of it :)
Great video Jeremy and thanks for sharing your interesting inspirational day! I'm 73 years old retired from a VP of Sales and Marketing Career at a Church Furniture Manufacturing company located in New Holland PA. Hmmm, guess what the name is? Now I am semi retired with a VERY successful Etsy shop where I make high end Dovetail Keepsake boxes using mostly premium grade Mahogany, Walnut, Hickory and cherry (not box store wood). I am also an adjunct professor at a local Bible College and Preacher at chapels and other organizations about 3 times a month. BUT, I always find time to watch Carin Creek! Hope to visit one day at the new B/B. Thanks for your editing work!
Pretty cool videos I saw your stuff from Brians farming videos. I’m a Firefighter/Paramedic in Florida. Enjoy the sawmill stuff and all the things you do around the creek. Keep up the good work!
Loved the video. A lot to keep up with and requires attention to detail. No one will ever accuse you of being a slacker! I'm a retired tax attorney - it provided a good living but was boring and stressful. I don't miss it one second. Joe
Fantastic video! Hardest working man in America! I really enjoyed this video, heck I like all your videos! Let's see... I've worked at our family clothing store, mowed lawn, child wrangler at a daycare, crushed rock at an assay lab, Costco for a season, house construction/cabinetry for my Uncle, hardware store for 8 years (best job ever), ran a restaurant with my wife in a 100 year old building that we just sold last year and now I stay home, run a Woodland Mills HM130MAX (her name is Milly) and make live edge pondarosa pine slab furniture. I'm 43 and like a tea pot I'm short and stought but mighty like Milly! 😁 Have a great rest of your week Jeremy from Cairn Creek! ✌
Hey from Florida heard your podcast with Brian brown keep up the good work and I work for school board maintenance department and take off all the school grounds around the county
I'm the general manager of a data center in Columbus, OH. Probably not what you would expect from a guy that shoots outdoor videos in SE Ohio. Good video as always. I nailed both of your estimates before you calculated them. Maybe I should ditch this IT gig and become a JSF estimator. How long is that driveway the guys are working on? Looks like a fortune in gravel. Jason
I work too farm jobs. First one is on a beef and crop Farm. Second Farm job is for a custom farmer. I work more hours than two people. I did not mind your longer videos thanks for sharing with us
Great look at someone else day to day activities. For me my day job is inside an office playing with plastics. My fun time is working outside with an sawmill, chainsaws, excavator, tractors, mowers and golfing when I can
I used to swing a hammer for a living until the '08 housing crash. My partner and I liquidated and went into landscape installation and maintenance. I've been retired for several years and work about half as hard as when it paid the bills.
Jeremy is funny how paths cross in the early years was a home builder the older years of a remodeler more smaller jobs very little help but I know you know this better than anybody helps hard to find but what I was 11 by family operated that run a golf course and I would get called in to do arafide greens mow the fairways and put up the golf carts the old 🗝️golf course shut down now and what I got to be about 15 I would take the old guys money at lowball thanks for showing us your daily
You fellas got some weird clock to sun ratios going on there. Work! Y do you use that four letter word haha, I’ve got it down to 3 or 4 days a week now (. Of paid employment as a fencer ) then the rest is mine to do as I please where I make nice bits of wood into sawdust 🤣. Or I’m Repairing the stuff most people can not.
I just retired last Friday, I’ve been a Construction Superintendent for thirty two years, building Medical project through out the West. Prior to that I was a Concrete contractor for fifteen years. Now at 72 I’m wondering how I’m going to keep busy.
Yep. Started watching for your sawmill segments, I have a timber king on order, now I stay tuned for the work your doing on your new place and property.
fun video
Little different. So far it’s doing well.

Definitely different style video. It was a lot easier to edit. I just pasted clips and cropped out pauses. Easy peasy!

I think it’s 2,400’ feet or so. Probably gonna be a 60-70k driveway. There was a lot of prep work for sure.
