Paula Severeyn Ranomi has the best individual 100m free time but Netherlands touched the wall in 6th and that's what matters. Ranomi made up one spot on her leg.
Those 2012 US medley relay teams were ridiculous. This women's team had two gold medalists in the individual 100m events and a silver medalist (plus Allison Schmidt, who didn't swim the individual 100m but won the 200m by like three seconds). Somehow the men's team was even better with three individual 100m gold medalists and an individual bronze. The USA is always fairly strong, but I think it'll be decades before we see a team as good as that one.

So much talk of domination in swimming. Yea the US wins dozens of swimming medals, but its not like we set a new world record at each Olympics......oh wait

The USA team here is just stacked with talent. Franklin leads off in WR time. It was over when gun went off.
Yeah ,all 4 girls are the best in the world in their style.Who can beat them
barracuda7018 Allison Schmitt its not even close to be the best in free style. ranomi the holland its the best

quadbravo i think you need to see 4x100 free and look how she beats allison
Paula Severeyn Yes, Ranomi is better than Allison, but it doesn't matter in case of relay ;-)

Australia has had two straight bad Olympics in swimming first in London then in Rio.
dsfddsgh Not really. We didn’t flop, not as great as we could have done but we did decent.
Must’ve missed the world championships
Dana, the butterfly swimmer, is flipping insane. She managed to get a body length ahead of wr although when she jumped in she was behind wr pace
😓😁
I agree. Vollmer was the secret ingredient. The nicest 100 fly I've ever seen on the women's side.
Dana may well be the most important relay swimmer in U.S. history. So versatile and so fast at everything.
Franklin - 58:50. Soni - 1:04:88. Vollmer - 55:48. Schmitt - 53:25.

I think injuries prevented Franklin from possibly being one of the very best swimmers ever. She was sublime at the 2012 Olympics.
facts and she was so young she had a great career ahead
Love these commentators vs Rowdy and Dan!
