I personally had to take a philosophy back in high school, and I promise, that it never got easier to understand (even after college). I recently saw a Reddit post that directed me to a discussion on Land of the Lustrous and Plato's Allegory of the Cave, and I wanted to create a video that would not only discuss the allegory but also relate it to a medium that I enjoy reading and watching. Hope you all learn something from this. I personally think that Land of the Lustrous mirrors Plato's allegory of the cave with Phos learning about the world. Let me know what you all think in the comments 😄
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed watching/reading this manga. The analysis was a bit tricky since I am not a philosopher, but I feel that it's interesting either way
It's an amazing anime and manga that is underrated I feel. Even though it has a high manga score on My Anime List, I feel that not enough people talk about it overall
Love the analysis Love philosophy and the take on this But couldn’t help to be taken out when I’d hear you say ornaments Sounded like you were saying ordaments Like nails to a chalkboard But great video
I’m glad you liked the analysis. I most likely did end up saying ordament due to I struggle to pronounce some words and sounds. It’s good to know though for future, thanks for letting me know

And then phos basically becomes a god in the end
Exactly. And when they became a God, if it weren’t for the rocks, Phos would have endlessly wandered questioning life as well
You did a beautiful job on describing the manga/anime

@theidiotsquare keep it up as your doing well 👍
I appreciate it!
More HNK content to enjoy, even cooler because it is related to philosophy, thanks for the video :)!
I'm glad you liked the video! I also wish there was more HNK content
More ouseki no Kuni Analysis! Let's gooooooooooo!
