I’ve been remodeling 25 years and never installed the Kerdi system myself. I’ve seen it done on jobs. Anyway, if you can do that you could do you’re own plumbing too. I think on your next project you go 100%. Minimize waste. Maximize efficiency. You’ll be surprised how much money you’ll save. Nice work !

Thank you so much! 😊 Definitely like the idea of minimizing waste. Will definitely consider doing my own plumbing on my next bathroom remodel.

So I’m redoing my bathroom but my house is old as crap and has shiplap on the walls, do you think I could use Ditra on the walls instead of the kerit board? Or should I use just the membrane they offer

@@britphillips9179 Ditra is only for floors. 😊 Kerdi board is what you want to use on walls, but only if you needs the walls to be waterproof. Kerdi board is what you use instead of cement board. It’s just a different product. More expensive than cement board but a lot easier to install and because it’s foam board, you also get the added benefit of better insulation. 😊 So Kerdi board - u want to use in any walls that will be getting wet, like a shower area. For the rest of the walls you can use regular drywall. 😊 Hope this info is helpful!
