I’m considering a move to Haiti and would love your insights on a few concerns I have regarding internet connectivity. Since I work online, reliable internet is crucial for me. Could you please share your experience or knowledge about the internet speed, reliability, and which areas or states in Haiti have the best internet service?

I’ve had terrible experiences with every internet company here. Even when I lived in Port-au-Prince, where it would typically be the best in the country. I work remotely so I need reliable internet. Now I have Starlink and haven’t had any issues with it. I’ve been using it for over a year now. It only goes out when there’s a really bad storm. But it comes back on as soon as it’s over.

One more question how does the internet thing work in Haiti , for example does T-Mobile work or Verizon.
They work with roaming, but that could get expensive. I recommend getting a sim from Natcom or Digicel when you arrive.
Can we find the "Caribbean Market" products outside of Haiti? I would love to purchase them.
I searched Caribbean Farms Djon Djon & found their website. But it looks like it’s down at the moment.

What do you do for a living while living in Haiti? Do you work remote? If so what line of work.. my house is almost done being built in Haiti but I’m just trying to figure out how to make money there until I start a business..

Let them know even in the west it's not the whole west 😂 it's only in downtown not in delmas ,petion ville ,lalue ,nazon,ect.... ,it's not the whole west as I said .

Yeah the current situation is nothing like before where mainly downtown had issues. Now most of the West has experienced insecurity at some point in the past few years. It doesn’t happen everywhere simultaneously, but there are moments of insecurity.

All imported goods, very little locally produced. Will remain a failed state forever.
