Happy Friday!!!!! Let mw know in the comments below what your fave hair products are for Low Porosity and/or Protein Sensitive Natural hair and I will try them! :) Have a great weekend xoxo
Thank you for doing this video!! Your videos are so thorough yet stay focused on the matter at hand. Plus you always list what products you used or discussed in the description with links, making finding these products so easy!! My hair game is on a new whole new level. May good fortune rain down on you in 2020!! Thank you!!
Omg how have I only just found your channel. My daughter has the same hair as you. I've spent ££££s on various products that just didnt work. I'm gonna buy all the products you have recommended. Thank you
I love the Mielle Babassu Mint deep conditioner. It's one of my favorites. I'm interested in trying Miche products. Where did you purchase yours? I've heard really good things about Briogeo Don't Despair Repair. I would like to try that one also.
I started my natural hair journey n I can see results, heat damage is real but I have hope of better hair in the future.thank you so much for the information n I now know Abit about my hair type.waiting to get hair products to use which work for my hair.
I'm a new subscriber!🤗 I've never tried any of the products on your list. I'm using shea moisture conditioner and shea moisture leave-in, and shea moisture jamacian black castor oil shampoo, but I will not be buying the shea moisture jamacian black castor oil shampoo again because it's drying and makes my hair feel brittle, and the only thing I do love is the shea moisture conditioner and shea moisture leave-in conditioner because they both leave my hair soft!I also use aloe vera juice every two days along with my fenugreek oil mix, and rice water every two weeks.
Thanks haven't heard of half the products on your list. I rarely use product lines anymore. Like you wash once a month. If you rinse your hair with Apple Cider Vinegar you can use anything. It restores your PH balance whatever you use to wash or condition. I have normal hair and everything has protein. Except a very few products.
Do you prefer the Niche DC over Curl Rehab’s DC? I’ve being using the curl rehab since you recommended it on a previous video & I love it! I’ve also tried the Aunt Jackie’s mousse & love it too!
Like you I don't coat my hair with the product line stuff. I nourish it. Can go 3-4 weeks without need for wetting it. Still moist and soft. I use Ayurveda herbs to clean it. Overwashing strips it of natural oils making it dry. You live and you learn.
Hi Iyda, I find your videos so helpful for my daughters hair which is very similar to yours. Have you ever tried the curlsmith products and did any of them work for your hair type?
Hi Idya, New sub to your channel. Thank you so much for the wonderful content. So extremely helpful. I was wondering if you have any experience with henna? Like you, I am course, protein sensitive, and low porosity. So much so that I thought I was high porosity because my hair dries quickly, but I found out though trial and error, it has to do with other factors that I more recently started to take into account. The fact that I have quite a bit of grey hair taking over (like my mother did at my age). I have been holding out on dying my Greys, but I am considering henna and indigo. I'm just concerned about the strength factor of henna. My hair is already course and relatively strong and I prefer a natural way to dye my hair if possible. Any suggestions or ideas would greatly be appreciated.
I’ve tried so many products and none of them keep my hair sufficiently moisturized throughout the week. It’s hard to find products without coconut oil (I’m allergic) and silicones like amodimethicone. I’ve had to trim my hair after each wash day for 3 weeks my hair for three weeks because my ends were so dry and my hair was so hard to detangle. I’m low porosity too btw. Any tips?
JumbleofJargon camille rose, miche, mielle and mane choice have products w/o cones and coconut oil. Theres honestly a ton of brands/products w/o cones and coconut oil these days. You can also search youtube for protein free or cone free products.
@@beaubeauknows3620 I'm actually trying Camille Rose's Twisting Butter and Curl Junkie's Strawberry hydrating deep conditioner with heat since I'm low porosity. I noticed that the DC retains moisture slightly better... for that day when I add olive oil. The Camille Rose Butter doesn't seem to to add any moisture though. After this Iyda's video though I think I'll give Miche's DC and hair butter a try. I've tried Shea Moisture (doesn't work), Mielle Organics (great! but silicone :( ) tgin ( amodimethicone), Aunt Jackie's (good but dimethicone), Obia Naturals, the mane choice ( too lightweight but okay). I wash my hair once a week, but I notice I don't really have buildup on my scalp, just on my strands. My staples are olive oil, Shea butter, aloe vers juice and water and castor oil.
@@jumbleofjargon shea moisture conditioner and leave in are good, but the shea moisture castor oil shampoo makes my hair feel brittle and dries out my hair, so I don't use the shampoo anymore.
Ok hey guys for anybody who comes across this comment, a lot of products mentioned in this video have ALOT of protein in it. So if you’re protein sensitive just be careful and look at this ingredients.
I was thinking the same thing! That textured ID DC and leave didn’t do much moisturizing for with my low porosity hair. I do believe we all tolerate different types of proteins better than others, wheat protein is not one for me I guess

Hi Iyda, Where did you find the Miche products in Canada?
I'm wondering the same thing.. How did she get it... At least let the Canadian viewers in on it so we can potentially try it.... Smh
@@aliid.5192 Maybe Iyda bought the products when she went to the States or they were gifted/sent by the company? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can order Miche products from their online store at miche beauty
Thank you!! I've never tried aunt Jackie's mousse. Most mousses dry my hair. I'm gonna check it out.
