if you saw it in one of our previous videos, we did explained that part as well but thanks for your comment. We really appreciate it Stay tuned for any new videos
Great video I have noticed with my p-series LT if you put it in cross country mode it’s like four high and I also have noticed if you put it in 4L traction control automatically turns off but it seems like the car learns how you drive
Thanks. Yes you correct. When I started I needed to turn off the traction control. Now it is automatically off. Yes some people think cross country mode is great . Its just as they say , cross country not for serious off road conditions.
Cross-Country just disables ESP and TC, hit has no control of the TOD system. This is normal behaviour for disabling safety systems. 4L has a more aggressive friction profile for the TOD, so it's much closer to a lock but still allows some slip. If you email GWM globally, they will send you a spreadsheet that explains the nuances of this.
10:01 is that smoke normal? This was very informational. Wish I knew this before completely destroying my car's 4×4 system by turning it on ontop of a paved surface. Thanks guys.
I am not totally happy with the amount of smoke. But when a diesel engine labours it will push out some smoke. It`s not excessive so at this moment I am looking into it but not too concerned. Sorry to hear about your gearbox. What happened?
@@foreverventure1739 I wanted to experiment and see how 4×4 works so i engaged it and I heard it get in place. The car definitely sounds different with 4×4 engaged. I drove for about 3km with it on and this one was on a tarred road and it popped. Mechanic said it would cost almost a thousand dollars to repair.
Also remember if you hold the traction control button in then you are in Expert offroad mode.

@@foreverventure1739I usually use it on the beach and on steep loose hills you feel a lot more confident

@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 Shame its a pity you did not watch this first. But that`s how we learn. Some times it hurts the pocket.
South Africa likely doesn't have the emissions standards other countries have, so no DPF to filter that out.
