    still manual transmission saves gas, or at least money. Indeed there are transmissions like 8AT 9AT 10AT which definetely has better gas mileage, but they are way more expensive compare to a simple 5mt transmission, and the price difference is way larger than the money you saved on gas, plus, normally people who can afford a car with 10AT probably would not care too much about the money they spent on gas. There's way more chance for an automatic transmission to fail(yes, I mean GM), and it's gonna to cost way more to fix. Also, dual clutch can get overheated when drive slow in traffic and cause it to fail, which is also expensive to repair.

      Good points! Manual transmissions can be cheaper upfront and easier to repair, which can save money in the long run. But when it comes to fuel efficiency, modern automatics with 8, 9, or 10 speeds often do better, especially in real-world driving. Reliability depends on the brand some automatics have issues, but manuals aren’t perfect either (clutch replacements can be pricey). At the end of the day, it’s all about what matters more: cost, reliability, or driving experience.

    so the last myth is actually not a myth. while driving your car is the quickest way to warm up your engine, driving the vehicle when its not at operating temperature is when the most damage is done to your engine/transmission. So while driving gently while it warms up can help warm up the engine faster it is still doing a lot more damage to internal components than if you were to let it warm up to operating temperature before moving.

    I drove an automatic for 1 year, privately, and I traded the car for a manual transmission. and unfortunately I now drive an automatic for work The automatic transmission irritates me more than it is fun, always the wrong gear.and fuel, my previous bus with a manual gearbox was much more economical and I drove it as if I had stolen. i drive the automatic transmission more quietly and uses much more fuel, especially in the city.The automatic transmission always shifts at far too high rpm.I'm much better off sticking to manual gear, no one makes me think differently

    sorry but comparing old manual with old automatic should be done with new manuals vs new automatic in mind with the driver skill. i can tell you having both manual and automatic cars manual still gets the lower mileage. i have the same driving behaviour in both cars and the engine size and power is almost the same and there is still a 1,2-1,5l difference in favor of the manual. modern automatic is far superior to the old ones, fuel efficiency is considerable better than the old ones, but because most of the automatics are set for comfort, or in some cars sport, this is not optimal and variations in consumption is increased. With a manual if you know when to change gears in the low and when to change in the highs the fuel efficiency is higher. Yes this is a skill and yes the video is right, not everyone has that skill, and the gear change might vary from car to car to reach that peak fuel efficiency but the truth still stands, the myth is not dead.
    Premium gas only works on performance cars meaning normal cars have no need for it. in some cases, like Suzuki modern engines for example, the car will not work and light up all kind of sensors warnings.
    the last part of idling in cold weather is half true. modern cars have automatic rpm control to raise the engine to the normal driving condition and in the manual it is stated that you should keep the car in idling until the rpm drops to the lower idling rpm. so if the car starts and goes to 1400 rmp, you should wait until it drops again to 700 rpm. this again it is controlled by the car computer. which in some days it can be 30 sec in others 3 min, depending on the temperature outside. this is not related to the fuel system but oil that needs to get a minimum viscosity and the first minutes of that engine run will raise just a few degrees to ensure the lubrication has started. you should never rev the car on a cold start as this is more damaging than you can imagine.
