Let me tell you never ever buy #1 that Jeep is an absolute nightmare to work on. Extremely overcomplicated, I worked on a customer's and everything was difficult to access on a wholly different level than other vehicles. They could have made something simple but this is the exact opposite of that. The Pacifica hybrid mentioned later has huge issues such as the refrigerant being used to cool the hybrid battery pack so that if you have a refrigerant leak which happens to nearly every vehicle at one time or another the vehicle will go into limp mode and not accelerate above 30 mph. This list of cars is spot on and consumers should never buy them.

It's not just Chevrolet and GMC full size pickups and it's not just the 10 speed transmissions. I had a 2016 Colorado with transmission problems and I have a 2018 Colorado with the same problems. Both had less then 10,00 miles on them when it happened. The 2016 was a 6 speed and the 2018 was an 8 speed. Instead of GM fixing the problems their lawyers do everything possible to not fix them. When the next model years come out the problems are still there so they put more bussons on the steering wheel, a larger touch screen, fancier daytime driving lights and people pay $20,000 more for them. Vehicles are like appliances now......they are made to fail.

Beware of buying a Genesis SV80 or SV90. You have to replace the battery before it fails. That is because the Genesis does not use a normal 12V battery; no AAA road service, no auto store replacement. You can only buy this from a Genesis dealer; a family member had the battery die and "supply chain" problems meant a 10 day wait. Also, good luck in getting any electronic to work with a dead batter, such as door locks and hatches.

For the record, specifically for the 4xE Jeep models - All plug in vehicles suffer in the cold weather. I own a 2011 Volt, arguably the pioneer of the Plug In Hybrid market, and I see a degradation of about 10-15mi on the battery in the cold. Not to dispel all the issues with the Jeeps, but poor efficiency in cold weather is par for the car for any Electric-integrated vehicle.
Not sure the Jeep issue on suspension is limited to their hybrids...I have a friend with a '20 Sahara that hits a bump and SHUDDERS, like it's going to come apart - ground resonance...
The problem here is the tightening of emissions regulations by the EPA;- trying to push us all into hybrids and EV’s.., and what gas vehicles are left the car manufacturers don’t want to pay for more of those carbon credits to offset their emissions, solution?-> forced induction to bring down that displacement with turbos while still making about the same or more power as V8’s. But the catch is that anything FORCED never lasts. Everything now that comes to the dealership is 2.0L, 3.0L … The first people to know this shift to everything turbos would be a problem were racers & mechanics. Turbos are cool when ripping through streets but you can forget making it to 200k miles with no issues on that engine. Naturally aspirated engines is what you should be looking for if you plan to keep cars for a while. As a dealership mechanic I’ve noticed all these cars are overly complicated & build with shifty materials to really last. That’s why my cars are early 2,000’s & below.; coupled with the fact that you can’t just throw parts into cars now without the software flash updates. We are truly living in a world where you don’t really ‘own’ your stuff..

With all the emissions crap they have to put on the vehicles these days, multiple computer units, sensors, and what not...is it any wonder they even run much at all? I really miss having my old 1976 Chevy Blazer. No emissions equipment at all. If it didn't run, it simply wasn't getting gas or spark...that's it. I was able to have it pass emission standards for early 2000's cars with no cats, smog pumps, or anything. It wasn't manufactured with them, so they weren't required to be on it. Keeping your plugs clean, good air filter, and proper timing was all you needed. Simple simple simple.
I know a car dealer who found a 70s some Blazer in excellent condition. He did not put it on the lot, but kept it for his own use. He turned down a $16,000 offer.
Worst part about the 4xe is there's a lot of issues engineers don't even know what's going on so expect not just frequent dealer visits but long times your vehicle sits at the dealer

Most manufactures use deactivation tech. Designing some cylinders to not get power including valves without using compression release tech. has caused alot of wear and damage to unused cylinders because compression still happens without a place for the compression to go. Still the pistons go up and down causing compression the minute the oil get dirty it causes damage. One needs to change the oil more freq. Honda for example has the same tech. but you can buy systems to deactive the deactivation tech. allowing all cylinders to operate as regular engine. The wear problem is elimated because all the cylinder wear evenly.
Cylinder deactivation definitely has its pros and cons, and you’re spot on about the extra wear and the need for frequent oil changes. Interesting point about Honda, disabling that tech to keep all cylinders active sounds like a solid workaround to avoid uneven wear!

I mean; I bought the real bronco 6G. There’s noticeable differences between a bronco and bronco “sport”. The sport looks and is a ford escape just smaller and with 4WD added with an even smaller engine. Made in Mexico in vast numbers. The regular bronco is made in America and has been pretty solid with the 2.3, granted the V6 versions have had issues too. The scariest part is the regular bronco is a solid frame and I’ve seen one in crash and it did nothing to it. I’ve seen a bronco sport get in a crash and it looked like a can you crush in a machine, the back seat was in the front seat. So anyone looking, just do yourself a favor and get the real thing, not the sport.

Furthermore, bad customer service isn't the vehicle's fault. I bet if you had a better experience, you'd have a much different opinion of the brand as a whole.
17:18 He is talking about Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac and is showing a picture of a Dodge.
So true, when my Gr Cher brakes down a family member mechanic usually repaired it. He is the owner of 4 Ford trucks, prior older ones. When he works on my Gr Cher, the whole neighborhood can hear him cussing half a mile away! Take it to a shop now so I don't stress him out.
Why don’t they talk about Kia and Hyundai engine failures? Fifty percent of my inspections are on these vehicles.
Own a ‘19 Mazda cx50, 147,000 miles and zero issues. Bought it used in ‘19 as a dealer demonstrator., 20k miles for 28 thousand. It has more features than any other foreign brand I considered. 25 mpg average, only maintenance are the oil and filters I do myself. Great value and great reliability.
Is it the turbo model ?
May be helpful to some knowing at least 1 is running fine
My first gen rogue with 230K and 2019 QX50 with 100K miles and counting. Other than a couple dead batteries, never had any problems
My wife's 1gen Rogue only lasted barely 100k miles due to CVT transmission issues... conaider yourself lucky.
It’s a simple solution to eliminate cylinder deactivation, buy a tuner and get better performance while deleting the deactivation program. Cheapest solution that 100% works
I have a love/hate relationship with jeeps...I love them for what they could be...and hate them for what they are
Jeep wrangler still the best looking car to this day but horrible engineering
I have a '20 2 door 2.0T with almost 90k trouble free miles. Daily driver, used for work and regularly wheeled. I do all the maintnance myself, but it has been a rock solid ride for over four years.
Like my last relationship 😂
Did GM learn nothing from their failed V8/6/4 debacle?!
Just because YOUR vehicle died @ 40K doesnt mean ALL of those vehicles will die @ 40K. How & where you drive your vehicle
PLUS have you EVER popped the hood? Have you ever heard the word MAINTENANCE? Most drivers these days have not. They
believe all cars should be perpetual motion machines. They are not. I'll bet every one of these failures are a direct result of OWNER
ABUSE.
!
I'm sorry but no one will understand this for you 😢
I bought an “unreliable” car but I maintain it well. No issues @ 47k miles
Do we have time for maintenance? Working extended times just to pay for this vehicles 😂
@@Huwadwink oh my bro... say it again 👏 🙌
My 21 Forester blew #2 rod at 44k. Go figure
Nissan Rogue 160, 000 Miles and count.
I am at 175K miles...
2012 Toyota RAV4 V6. 160,000 miles and zero issues. 😊
2008 mitsu outlander, they have the same CVT tranny, delicate one, make sure you give maintenance to it, change fluid and both filters.
And yet they say that these vehicles are junk. LOL
How has GM still not learned anything from the 1980 4 6 8 debacle. This is why you can't GIVE me a GM product
It's time to build our own cars from kits, using new crate engines. They still make every part on older jeeps and you can put any drivetrain in. Cheaper, more reliable, and you are the mechanic.
I've heard of several people who hated their new Bronco's and Jeeps.
Who edits this crap? Video is banging on Escalade silverado n denali and in the middle of this(19:22) shows a pic of a Ford truck- twice!!!Huh???🤷🤷
AND a Ram Truck!
This damned AI GARBAGE!!
They should be Required to tell us up front if it is AI produced.
Constant repetition ! (not including the Chevy/GMC/Cad portion that was put in twice)
And a Lexus at 10:44
This comes off as an AI video
And a RAM 1500
Jeep has NEVER been a vehicle of quality. PERIOD
Blah, blah, blah. This whole content could have been delivered in 3 minutes, so much water and zero stats.
Cheap Jeep , it’s a life style car
Why don’t you repeat yourself 15 frickn times.
i love how people still fall for the fallacy that any car is reliable today. they are all designed to break down catastrophically
Commercials = 10 min
Worthless blab = 10 min
Facts = 1 min
My 06 Jeep Commander still going at 202,000 miles
There are no cars that won't last 40,000 miles. All cars nowadays make it 100's of thousands of miles. I am 62 years old, and have never had a vehicle that didn't make 100,000 miles. Regular maintenance is required, oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.
Kia, Hyundai, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram would all prove you wrong
@@sjh60633 i have owned a half dozen Hyundai's and Kia's and you are full of crap, they all proved you know squat. I bet you have never owned one to know, but you mouth off anyway!
What have you been smoking,?
Buy a Range Rover
Agree. My family has had one of the manufacturers listed on this video and it’s lasted well over 100k.
I myself have a Nissan Rogue 2018. Haven’t had a major issue at all. I might be lucky. But I have a coworker who’s never had transmission issues on her 17’ pathfinder. No matter what car you get it’s good to listen to reviews, talk to a few ppl whom own the type of car you’re looking for and save money for emergencies because you just never know.
I don’t want all of this ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER CRAP. I had a Jeep that could be started with a screwdriver, if the key got misplaced. I want those days back. I don’t want a rear camera - I was taught how to back up using my mirrors, and there wasn’t anything to break.
Jeep hasn't had a bulletproof reputation for years.
Decades!
Good info but this vid could deliver the same message in half the time. Sooooo much belaboring of the points. I found myself pressing 2x just to get through it.
Yeah, they made an 8 minute video and said not enough, triple it
I stopped watching after #3. Don't take their BS.
Very long winded narration.
Too much reiteration. 😢
What about Toyota’s Tacoma & Tundra ? Toyota having complete engine replacements and suspension issues
WOW, an infinity turns into a Lexus. 😂
Saw that too
Me too… super weird 😂
Your too funny 😂 love it
*Infiniti
Yeah now that was funny 😂
I own a 2018 Toyota Tundra Crewmax Platinum. Just turned 65,000 miles and I keep the maintenance tight. Some will say it drinks too much. I say, I have NO payments and when I hit the pedal, it will haul ass. It will even pull the space shuttle. Yes, lately Toyota has had some issues with the new twin turbo 6. Well, I plan to keep my 2018 for a long time. No issues with it so far. Great truck. I also have a Chevy in the driveway. 1994 Silverado for sale and it is damn near new.
This is why I drive a 2005 Escalade. It's the last of the good ones(GMT800).
Same here, not great on fuel economy, rock solid and easy to work on. Enough bells and whistles without the complicated control screen/electronics to fail.
I feel sorry for the people who purchased these vehicles. My first car was a1976 Toyota Celica after that it was a 2001 Toyota Camry now a 2020 Kia sportage.
How do you like the Kia ?
I feel for ya! I had two Camrys. When I bought a Hyundai to save money, it was one of the biggest disappointments of my life. Kia/Hyundai are cheaply built. You get what you pay for. I paid mine off fast so I could get rid of it.
The buyer doesn't pay, all repairs are under warranty. Just make sure you hit them for a loan car until yours is replaced or fixed.

7. Yukon/Chevy Tahoe/Escalade
jeeps, dodges, Chrysler all trash.
ain't nobody that knows cars and values reliability daily drives those.
nobody that Ubers drives those.
u can gauge car reliability by just looking at what cars are on the road.
toyotas, hondas, kia/Hyundai. tesla.
each model is built different.
every car will eventually break down, but some are built better than others and last longer with routine maintenance.
"american"+ hybrid dont really mix.
asian+hybrid cars are much better.
and nissan(french) CVTs have always beens trash.
toyota(japanese) CVTs tho are indestructible
dodge is owned by Fiat(italian)
volvo used to be sweden but is now owned by China.
the only European car worth buying is probably any german car.
Nissan/Infiniti is not all trash, they make a good V6 engine called a VQ.
each Brand makes at least 1 decent car/truck and then the other models just exist for environmental reasons...
often built cheap.
who wants a 3 cylinder engine 💀
My Jeep Commander has over 250,000 miles and is still going strong. Performing regular scheduled maintenance is the key.
C-Chysler H-has R-recommened Y-you S-should L-learn E-engine R repair. I had one mini van for 20 years and I did. With the help of UA-cam.
Glade my ford explorer st V6 wasn't added on here honestly as long as you take care of your vehicle it will take care of you.
Don't forget the Tacoma, last 4k 😂😂😂😂
Thats what happens with lithium- ion batteries, FIRES..
It comes down to the customer doing the necessary research BEFORE buying an EV or a Hybrid vehicle...or any new vehicle...its customer BEWARE!
And yet these pattern failures continue with nothing being done at a corporate level, junk!
It’s sad businesses use to build stuff that last now it just doing something faster, but making a product that you will have to replace.
@18:03 Dude I take calls when people hit that on star button, this ain't a bit funny, those people that break down then take it out on me because they are entitled because they bought so a overpriced POS and treat me like I'm the guy that dreamed it up and built it.... Where I work services MOST of the car brands road side plan and insurance companies alike, I hate new cars, I'd never buy anyones after 2004
pretty sure this is just a commercial. the sheer number of times he says "pacifica hybrid" is pure insanity
The Nissan Rogue without the turbo is pretty solid I had one when I was in New Mexico and drove it all the way to Missouri and not one problem it gets driven a lot we drove it a lot in New Mexico and in Missouri
I bought my 2011 F-150 5.0 at the same time my wife got a 2011 Jeep Liberty That Jeep was awful from the start. Electrical issues, software hangs, the damn stock tires on the stock wheels wouldn't even stay inflated. Nothing but problems until we dumped it in 2016. My truck is still going 💪 at 240K. - Not a single issue. Annecdotal of course, but our Jeep story was enough evidence for us. Doesnt sound like alot has changed. Never again.
this video is full of so much misinformation and exaggeration. many of these vehicles have very high customer satisfaction ratings, re-sale value, and will easily last well beyond 150k if maintained well.
FAKE FAKE FAKE
Jeeps reputation? It's mainly for falling apart.
All these suv commericals show their SUV's it in the wilderness, far away from any shop, but truth be told, the toyota corolla is probably the best offroad vehicle that stays furthest away from the repair shop, and should be portrayed in place of these SUV's.
My 2016 Rogue with 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine has 130,000 miles and is going strong.
If there was a car that regularly didnt pass 40k everyone woild know about it
I still have my nissan rogue 2014 running very good with 214,000. CVT transmission was replaced @185,000 miles, quite expensive. But still running good. Never have any othe major problem.
Not an overworked 3 cylinder turbo engine either.
This video seems to hit that 40k mark tho, all this could be expressed in about 4 minutes also, and im suffering an emotional toll from just watching it. Alas, another know-nothing posting, with pictures of vehicles having zero to do with the subject being discussed.
Better off buying a 70's classic restored with some updates for $40K + and leave these New Junks alone
You should know what an SUV is and a pickup truck. They are not the same dude.
My sister's new car is a 2015 Rouge. In the 10 years she's owned it the one problem she had was with the gasket around the sunroof. Luckily that was fixed under warranty.
My last two vehicles were a 2009 Altima with 2.5 CTV I drove it to 2023 and gave to my son, he still does. My last was a 2013 3.5 Altima with CTV. No issues with either and I still have the 2013. Looking for my net vehicle and all scare the crap out of me.
@ 17:18 a GM turns into Dodge interior hmmmm
Bought a new Infiniti QX50 in 2019, and has 50K miles since; never experienced a single hiccup! A video comparing 200k (kilo miles) and new cars posted here (in Chinese) shows only minor issues in wear and tear between the two!
Had a Jeep about 20yrs ago. It was not good and the service was terrible.
Bought my wife a Rogue and its been fine for well over 40K miles. Just got lucky, I guess.
Thankfully, I've never owned any of the others.
I bought a jeep in 2014 for ten years. I put 217,000 miles on it. I replace everything more than three times. I spent easily more than 100k in total. Worst decision ever. I will never forget this lesson and carry this for the rest of my life and those around me 😅
I have a Jeep Liberty with an Italian diesel. The diesel died after 200,000 km and now I have an expensive lawn gnome waiting for many many hours of repairs and thousands of dollars in parts. Big disappointment.
I got one of the first Broncos Have put over 45000 with no problems. I know of one that had a transmission problem but was fixed. I have kind of lost it on these reports
never push the oil changes, keep an eye on the temp gauge.
I purchased the Pacifica hybrid brand new and after a year the hybrid battery was having issues. They changed the battery multiple times. I sold it.
The QX50 does not have a 3 cylinder engine that's in the Rogue. It's a four cylinder VC-Turbo and it seems to be much more reliable than the 3 cylinder version in the Nissan Rogue.
“Imagine watching an AI voiced clickbait video”
14-year-old Toyota Highlander, more miles than a space shuttle, runs like new but I hear some newer Toyotas are also experiencing problems.

GM’s v8 is pure junk the with the new valve timing for fuel economy.
Do you mind if I share a picture of our Bronco Sport odometer? Or a video? Our is 135000 with zero issues. So, I find this video very misleading
How is it already almost finished with its life ? It’s just came out and u have that many miles in only a couple years ?

NEVER thought I would say this, but, maybe I will find a good ol' Crown Vic ,restore it...and keep it!
A 3-cylinder turbo engine in a truck... Sure, that will last 15 years! SMH.
8:10 That screen protruding out of the dashboard should be downright illegal. Ford has placed an iPad-sized screen in the field of view of the driver. Who OK'd this idiocy?
20:05 Don't show a Ford F-150 when you talk about Garbage Motors (GM).
lol. I don’t know what’s worst cars or hvac. All the new furnaces and ac units are all having problems cause manufacturers have parts made in so many countries. 22 years in the trade and I’m thinking of doing truck driving and not worrying about warranty work

The problem in general with most vehicles is way to much electronics in them anymore!!!!! The old saying “electricity and water don’t mix”!!!!!
I have had a Haval H6 turbo petrol and currently have a Haval Jolion Ultra . Both are well build and sure will last at least 100. 000km so far I have done 72.000km.
