Just recently built a gaming computer and currently replaying Tiberian Sun (GDI Campaign) and configured C&C Online for Kane's Wrath. These games will never get old.. can't wait once the new remasters are released and it'll be 1995 all over again lol. EDIT - I also really hope EA can revive Tiberium. So much untapped potential in making a C&C FPS game.. give it to another game developer within your studio.
Hey so since you are running Kane’s wrath i have to ask. Did you experience any issues with audio cutting out and gameplay freeze on windows 10? If so did you find a fix?
Im in the process of playing through all the warcrafts right now, im on the first mission of warcraft 2s expansion. I can't believe I beat these games as a kid lol, back when there was only 1 difficulty, brutal. Same goes for c&c and red alert.
...I'm guessing you've never heard of C&C: Renegade? Or that amazing multiplayer only fan made C&C game made on Unreal Engine 3 (can't remember the damn name)
I loved Tib Sun atmosphere. One of few games that used grey and brown palette along with great ambient and industrial music to create bleak post-apocalyptic atmosphere with killer dark comedy. It's almost like Fallout1/2 wearing RTS fedora.
I am SO waiting for the remasters of the original(pre-2000) games! I hope they do Tiberian Sun as well, because that one is my absolute favorite of the series.
I really hope after the remastered they do a new real C&C to replace C&C4. In my opinion, I do not consider this game canon. Great video man keep it up I really enjoy what you're doing!
They would obviously need to get Joe back for his role. I don't care if he's old. Kane has been slowly losing his immortality anyway so it works in canon :)
@@Darkdaej You seen the promo vid he did for the remaster? -He's not aged a day.- Edit: Okay, correction. He _is_ getting gray, but it's nothing some dye or an AI touch-up would do. Come to think of it, that'd be exactly what Kane did to hide the healing apparatus on his face in Kane's Wrath.
All I know is that EA and Petroglyph got ONE shot to do this right, they need to hit it out of the park right out the gate if they want this to go over well. So far so good but we've seen how Blizzard fucked up their go at this...come on EA and Former Westwood workers shame that old rival into the dirt. Well further into the dirt than it already is.
This is their time to shine and retake the spot with blizzard so deep in the dirt and filth. As you said. They have this one chance to make it right and show CnC is back on the playing field and showing Blizzard how a remastered is done. I hope they do it. For once in a long time. I pray EA will fix this and make it great. If they do it right. They will have my trust with CnC again.
Officer reporting! 1 year later, the remaster has been released for some time now, and it is an undeniable VICTORY, I repeat, undeniable success. You done did good EA.
Excellent video! I am super excited about the remasters I have been looking for a C&C game for years, I hope it brings back the nostalgia of playing when I was a 10 year old back in the 95
RA2 was my all time favorite game from C&C. Like I sunk thousands of hours into that game from childhood to adulthood. Still am playing those games til this day.
I'm going to buy it to support C&C, but I also assume EA will screw it up somehow. Like, they insist rules.ini won't work anymore or you need to pay an annual subscription to run the game or something
I played back when "Command & Conquer" which was a rebranding of generals 2 (yeah, it was the times where all big franchises just took on the original names, confusing AF). They offered closed alpha keys to people who bought the full collection of CnC games on origin. The game was quite good, but I don't think it would've caught on, even with how the "free to play, online only" model worked out in modern day games. The design team had a vision for the game that wasn't really conducive to what fans liked about the CnC franchise and the multiplayer part suffered for it. And even when they were taking feedback from dedicated and highly experienced players from the community (we're talking people who won numerous tournaments in the past and had years of gameplay, mapping and modding experience), there was little progress to make games feel like CnC games and not so much as mobile games. That coupled with kinda pay-to-win microtransactions (they even charged people back then! they basically charged their alpha testers for playable generals and the like!!!) probably would've killed the game in the court of public opinion. Well, at least it was better than CnC4. But they had no good will from their customers left after that stunt.
Well than Generals 2 must have been completely insufferable, because EA made the genius decision of throwing away the campaign completely and making it multiplayer-only.
@@vovin8132 Not completely. They turned the singleplayer campaign into a paid DLC, which is an even more ridiculous decision than just making it multiplayer only.
@@vovin8132 the idea of it being multiplayer only wasn't that bad at all. CnC had great multiplayer matches, some are often played to this day. Re-releasing the original C&C/Red Alert for the upteenth time with some slightly updated graphics doesn't constitute a "rebirth". Really, they've spent years on this project and the hardest part of it was the developers searching for the source code to these games in EA's basement. It has been over a decade since RA3/C&C3.

And then I saw that other faction, the rising sun and I was who tf are these guys??? LoL, anyways, I loved when it was all on PC. I really feel like that where it really ruled.
1st point: Not going to pre-order and make the same mistake I made with WC3 Reforged. I'll wait it out. 2nd point: As beautiful as the graphics may be, as long as it runs smooth it'll be fine for me to play. 3rd point: Where is the C&C Renegade remaster? I know Renegade X exists, but that's an Online-only fan-based project on the Unreal engine. I played it a few years now, but I miss the old renegade feel it used to have when Ren X first came out. Could it be that EA was secretly also remastering C&C Renegade?
this remaster won't be groundbreaking like RE2 remake, so i ain't getting my hopes up. This is being done for nostalgia's sake, and i wish it'd succeed but unlikely.
Well, Fortnite has a bit of a different demographic I would think... So I don't feel they're really comparable. And then it's the fact that C&C is a RTS, very few of which has been F2P only online. So yea, it's a bit of a stretch to compare it to the current market leaders.
omfg can we get Michael Bay to direct Command and Conquer the movie? jus think of it... take a sick CnC song… remaster it, and have bay level explosions with tanks and shit rolling around, campy acting, over the top designs, I think it would be great
Yes they redone it and pretty much destroyed a good game by putting a lot of b/s in it when remastering it by adding a bunch of signification and alien junk
that is true - Supreme Commander was a fantastic RTS and I should have brought those up during the discussion as well but I mostly wanted to focus on C&C as a whole

2:11 only if you're old enough... :( - new generations of gamers don't know anything
EVA might be an AI 3D/4D chick in the next one.
EA, the killer of creativity.
keep an Eye on june 5 on steam
Time will tell, sooner or later... time will tell
It's sad when command and conquer tried to copy company of heroes.
this remaster won't be groundbreaking like RE2 remake, so i ain't getting my hopes up. This is being done for nostalgia's sake, and i wish it'd succeed but unlikely.
In my opinion Tibierum Wars was the best game of C&C. Now C&C is dead, but - Kane lives in death!
Well, Fortnite has a bit of a different demographic I would think... So I don't feel they're really comparable. And then it's the fact that C&C is a RTS, very few of which has been F2P only online. So yea, it's a bit of a stretch to compare it to the current market leaders.
Actually is was Soviets but it got recon or something like that
PS1 port of RA1 was nice but PS1 version of the first C&C was a fuckin' mess due to lack of speed control as default is really fast.
Rule of thumb... You can't kill Command and Conquer!
FUNNY HOW THEIR IS NOTHING ABOUT C& C RENAGADE I LOVED THAT GAME
I like dreaming of C&C Renegade remaster on frostbite....yea i know prob wont happen
omfg can we get Michael Bay to direct Command and Conquer the movie?
jus think of it... take a sick CnC song… remaster it, and have bay level explosions with tanks and shit rolling around, campy acting, over the top designs, I think it would be great
38:22 - A repeat ('EA knew they had a winning formula on their hands')
Game releases June 5th.
did you just say that wc2 had a better soundtrack than Tib dawn?!?!?!!
that is fake news sir
haha no not better. I said WC2 had a better soundtrack than WC1
@@TheRedTieGuy ok good almost called the black hand on you
Lazy developers and greedy publishers killed the game.
Generals 2 was a good restart of the franchise....but EA is just stupid to make a decent C&C game again
Long live Command & Conquer! Húrra! Húrra! Húrra!
*There is NO hope for NOD! KANE is LOST! GDI is strong with parasitEA running the show.* :)
Yes they redone it and pretty much destroyed a good game by putting a lot of b/s in it when remastering it by adding a bunch of signification and alien junk
...and then Supreme Commander happened...
I cant believe you didn't even mention Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that was significantly better than both C&C and Starcraft 2
that is true - Supreme Commander was a fantastic RTS and I should have brought those up during the discussion as well but I mostly wanted to focus on C&C as a whole
I was born in the Tiberium Universe.
will petroglyph make a new dune game
one can only hope
Generals zero hour!!
В России обожают серию CnC и Red Alert =) и наплевать ,что мы уже давно как не носим шапку ушанку. Kane lives !!!
17:43 Why would you do that??? DON'T walk infantry around Tiberium.
