I agree. This recent closure has really highlighted the few cycling options available in Nashville, especially as you get out into the sprawling areas. Thanks for highlighting the problem AND offering a potential solution.
Sidewalks are great! But the money needed to update the speed limits along Lebanon Pike is minuscule compared to the dollars needed for sidewalks. Both can happen, and lots of sidewalks can be built -- especially if you vote in favor of the Choose How You Move referendun, which would fund completion of Metro's priority sidewalks map.
"my bike means you should all go slower" piss off I am so sick of this "drive slower" mentality! NO... I will NOT drive slower on the road! Lobby the city to make you a path not on the road and leave us alone. I honestly do not care about how much more dangerous it is. We ARE ALREADY DRIVING TONS OF METAL.
@@MiddleTNCycling using a bike next to any lane of automobile traffic is the most ballsy and stupid thing you can do around here. Keep saying your prayers guy worth 2 pts.
@@MacheteCrunk Myself, NDOT, and many others are trying to do the necessary work so that it's not "the most ballsy and stupid thing you can do around here." Thank you.
@@MiddleTNCycling Thats my point though brother...you will never convince these rednecks half distracted in pickup trucks of anything and you must not have lived here long if you still think you can. Nothing that You or Ndot or some other government officail is going to teach these people to pay attention and not run over people in bicycles. You just wont. Be real

Classic car brain excuses for not reducing speeds. Let's call our 'representitives'
Yeah. Lets change all the speeds and signs for the six dudes riding bikes into town. Spend the money on sidewalks instead.
