I crashed once in the 80s and it ripped the hair out on my head I dislocated 6 fingers that went into the front tire and into the forks and it ripped my bottoms and top to shreds and I was laying in the street after bouncing 40 feet and we had the cages holding you in and your feet didn't come out easy. I was knocked out for a little bit and I woke up to a lady freaking out she finally got my feet out and she loaded my bike up in her car and off to the er we went and I spent 12 hours in the hospital. And was called scuff head all summer I dystroyed Mt Trek 770. But was able to get it fixed after new forke front rim and handle bars and I wore a helmet every since.
Yesterday I was going 30 mph in a road in Valenciano Community and I’ve fallen. One friend saved my life pushing me from the road because there was a truck coming…
The guy in the red jersey on the far right at 1:13 IF FOUND OUT, can be criminally charged for causing a big accident, and / or be banned from racing for life. Had he gotten away with it, I bet the lucky guy just walked away happy like nothing happened. Remaining hidden and Casually grinning to himself keeping his fault a secret, and unwilling to confess and make amends for the chaos he’s caused.

Do they have stewards enquiries like in horse racing? Or are they allowed to cycle with complete lack of awareness for others in the race. That last clip cyclist does the equivalent of pushing through the wings, a jockey would get a lengthy race ban for that?
They have the UCI and they hand out punishment if necessary. The last clip was Dylan Groenewegen in yellow and he crashed Fabio Jakobson into barricade. He won but was disqualified & suspended for a year from pro cycling. Fabio was in an induced coma with brain contusion, lost 10 teeth and ripped his palate, broken jaw, damaged vocal cords, broken hand, lung contusions. Tour of Poland like 2017 or 2018 maybe.

This is so horrible to watch. I know as a runner the idea is to get out of the hurd as fast as possible and that is difficult. Can't imagine how difficult it would be on a bike.
Cavendish has had some horrible crashes. I can think of 5 of the top of my head. There was one where he hit the barrier in the middle of the road. A nice double somersault. Or when Sagan gave him the elbow.

As protection when I use to race was to wear a shirt under my jersey so If I were to crash the ground rolls into the jersey really lessons abrasions.
