How to Install SuperATV's Pin Locker in Can-Am Maverick X3 Differential

- Braden from SuperATV will show you how to install our Can-Am Pin Locker Differential on a 2018 Can-Am Maverick X3. Our Pin Locker Diff drops right into your current differential, so the installation is a lot easier than you might think. This is a great way to replace your stock Can-Am Visco-Lok differential, and with the help of this video you can be running your UTV in locked four-wheel drive with the flip of a switch.
when I saw the video and saw that it's26 minutes long I wasn't going to click on it but I did anyway and im glad I did because it was really informative. My only complaint is I wish that they had showed the locker in action and/or stock vs new. Also it's not really a complaint but please try to be and sound a little more enthusiastic about the product your using. It was only the beginning of the video that I'm talking about as for the rest of the video two 👍👍 ups. I love anything about 4x4s, ATVs, UTVs and anything off-road related. So great video and to whom ever is reading this have a great day.

You should probably add a note to the video to fill the diff with oil and reinstall the fill plug, otherwise the new pin locker and the gears themselves aren't going to last very long...

Great video! I’ve been having a tough time trying to get the shim out. With this video it took me no time at all! My only complaint about this video is the boy in the video had his shirt on. Other than that excellent tutorial! 10/10
Just installed one on a Commander Max XT. Is there any way to have the diff lock symbol come on, on the digital display like the rear diff lock comes on when activated? No biggie if not, but it'd be kinda nice just to be able to take a quick peek at the display to see which diff locks are engaged. Love the pin locker by the way. Easy install as well.
We do not offer a way for the light to come on, unfortunately.

what issues did you have with yours? I just installed mine. Ring gear bolts? engagement pins? or something else?
what does the stock 4 wheel drive switch do? just take up space?

hello I installed my super ATV locker this past weekend , during assembly the spline hub did not fit into the ring gear plate. after measuring spline hub & ring gear plate, i found a .001 inch interference. this was very daunting to say the least. luckily i was able chuck n spin spline hub on my lathe to remove a .002 inch off OD with sand paper. I would like to mention that i am a bit worry about ring gear plate being aluminum and spline hub steel having different expansion and contraction rates with such a small tolerance when heat is introduced. I have paid $1000.00 Canadian for this locker and really hope it is reliable. I also purchased super ATV frame stiffener and the kit came with the right quantity of 12mm bolts but only one long one as opposed to two. So The nylock nut only catches a couple threads. i had to go out and purchase a proper length and grade bolt to fit. not exactly impressed about that. I also purchased a super Atv 1/2 inch uhmw skid plate likewise and plan to install in the next week or so. I really hope it goes well.

They don't have a rear differential
