Ingredients:
600g beef cubes
onions
tomatoes
Coriander
Lemon Juice
White Loaf bread
Coriander Powder
Madras masala
Chilli Flakes or powder
Star Anaise
Turmeric Powder

The bunny chow is definitely older than the 1940s. Patels in durban cbd has been opened for more than a 100 years and the bunny chow is there signature dish. They started off selling bunnies

A Bunny needs soft potatoes and a lot of gravy. Adding the meat and braise it for a few minutes in the spices before you add the tomatoes also make a difference to the flavour. I use jam tomatoes and remove the seeds. Seeds give it sour taste unless you add sugar.
