- This little apartment might be the best one in New York City. In spite of its quirks, its affordable and that’s what counts!
Thanks to Stephanie for the tour!

I want to know how she found the one landlord in New York who hasn't jacked the rent up astronomically. That's a great place!!!
Rent stabilized & there was probably a long term tenant somewhere in the rental history.
This is in southern Brooklyn which is a longer commute to Manhattan. The further you live away from the city center the cheaper it is.
@@Kidney7661 Bingo!
@@Kidney7661 Until you get into the orb of the next big city or hot recreational area and then it goes up again and you are lucky to find anything as good as this.
That one Apartment was built on an Ancient Burial Ground… Tabbies keep getting lost in the TV. And there’s a Demon Dog in the fridge asking for the Key-Master…
Yay Steph!!! I’m the middle sister in the photo. Love this video. ❤️❤️❤️
Nice to meet you!
Can you find us a cheap apt in Maine? :)
How is $1850 (all-in) "living in New York for $1000 a month"? Cash, stop with the clickbait.
Dude I pay more for rent than that in AZ of all places. I’m jealous
Yeah, there was another one where it said $800 but it turned out she used to live in a place for $825 and was now living in a place for like $1800 or something much higher like that. I let it slide because they did talk about how she’d gotten the $825 place but this one isn’t even close.
Nice apartment lady.
It’s called rounding down to thousands 😂
Same on every video.
She's a lucky woman to have found that apartment! It's pretty plain, but it's got everything she'd need, and she can even work from home. Nothing missing. Nothing at all. And she's charming. :)
When you say "plain" it could also be redecorated and you wouldn't recognize the place. It just takes a little imagination. 🧚♀
I have a 3700 sq ft home with a 3 car garage on third acre in a beautiful neighborhood for less than that apartment
@@richardvinsen2385 Exactly. You got to move to where you can make it. There is 700k people in my county and 100k in my city. Schools are top rated and people are affluent and educated. It’s out there if you look for it. I bought in 2020 so I admit, I have a very low interest rate which helps
@Firerose101 You're right! If you look hard and be somewhat flexible anything is possible!!
@@Firerose101 Of course you do. I live in a three-bedroom two-bath place for a fraction of the cost. NYC prices are outrageous! I actually pay more for food than rent.
Really enjoying the tours of peoples' actual apartments and the interviews, Cash.
Yeah, I like this a lot better than that Listed and Apartment Therapy tours. Not everyone is an interior designer, so it's cool to see how a real person lives
@@j.kristineemmons Me too!
What a cute place. I really like the arched pass throughs. Older apartments have more character..
Cash, From start to finish this episode was filled with heart and just the right level of enthusiasm and vocal variety to move at a pace that was perfectly done.
You find the best people to participate with you. That is a unique talent all by itself.
Bravo.
Keep going!☮️👏👏👏👏
What a sweet, interesting person, and she is so generous to share her living space with Cash and all of us super curious New Yorker wannabes! And Cash, I never ever get bored with your sense of humor, and after watching dozens and dozens and dozens of your videos, sometimes I forget that I really don’t know you because you have become almost like a friend. Keep the videos coming and keep enjoying life and making the world a nicer place for us all☺️
Cash & Stephanie, thanks so much for this tour. The apartment is amazing and such a great price. Lots of space & light and feels so warm & relaxing. Stephanie, thanks for inviting me into your home.
The apartment is older and basic, but it hasn't been chopped up into tiny bedroom spaces to get more rent. It looks quite comfortable with plenty of room for one person. I'm not keen on a 5th floor walkup, but that's not a big deal for a younger person, and the rent is a bargain for NYC.
It actually had an elevator!
Lol why are you assuming it’s a fifth floor walkup?
@@stephaniel1340 My error. It looks more like second or third floor.
It had quite a bit of character and wasn't dodgy old, but really well kept. From what I've been seeing, that is more like a $3000 and up apt. for all that space.
That woman found a unicorn apartment! Love it! And I wouldn't mind a best friend like her. Love your new video format, Cash! ❤
A friend w/ a huge apt. Even by Ottawa, Canada standards, that's fairly large. I've been watching these NYC apts, and it's insane how tiny they usually are for a few thousand.
Stephanie is a delight! Thanks for sharing your home with us Looky Lous.
I love these old kind of apartments. Such great size rooms you can do so much with. & real wood floors. So many places don't have windows in the kitchens & bathrooms so she's really lucky. $1716 is a bargain in today's market. Even tho it's a walk-up, I'd still consider it. & she's really nice to let Cash give us a tour
Its not a walk up. There is an elevator
Beautiful
I love her apartment. It's nice & spacious. Laundry in basement. The rent is reasonable also for NYC. She has plenty of stores & restaurants in her neighborhood. I would say she got a plenty good deal in NYC ❤️!!!
So the rent is not $1000.
It seems that Cash hired someone to post his videos, and that person is using clickbait titles to draw viewers.
@@marklanger1627 I have noticed this a LOT in the last year or so. Annoying.
No that was just click bait
You actually read the titles? I get notification Cash has a new video and I just click on it.
@@richardvinsen2385 Sounds like that's your problem.
I really like that apartment. I could really feel at home there. She's got it set up so nicely. It's simple, plain, but cozy and uncluttered. And it's got all you need. She seems like a really nice lady.
She was so sweet! That apt is huge for the price and very well kept. Thank you for sharing a real persons' spot, with a reasonable monthly rent -and thank you to her for letting us visit/see the place! 🙌🏼
If you're watching, I love your apartment and your personality! Thanks for allowing us in! ❤
cash, i’m still confused why you’re click baiting with this hed - her apt isn’t 1000/mo so why not just put the real price? $1716 is still impressive for this apt - stop clickbaiting - we watch your stuff and we love it. you don’t have to con us into watching your content!
Thanks to Stephanie for letting Cash take us touring through her home. (I 4got to say thank you in my earlier comment)
Why is the title a straight up lie? $1k and $1650 are not the same.
I believe there been an increase in rent reductions in a lot of New York Apts in all 5 boroughs and it could be because tragically there have been thousands of evictions and landlords are realizing if they are want their Apts to get rented and want the rent paid regularly( and decrease evictions) they are going to have to make the Apts more affordable.
It had to happen eventually. You can't endlessly raise rent if wages are pretty stable.
She is such a happy person! A great place too. Thank you Cash.
Great apartment and a lovely lady! Every room is so spacious, and the bedroom and kitchen are so bright. Lots of windows and closets. The only thing I would do differently in the bedroom, for example, is have a larger dresser or chest of drawers instead of the smaller bins and other storage pieces. For me, open storage adds to clutter and I like things put away behind closed doors and in drawers. But Stephanie has a wonderful place to call home - at an affordable price! Loved this video!
Great size place especially for the price. Plenty of storage. The charm still exists. Shower curtain made the bathroom cheerful. Cash was extra snoopy today😂😂😂
But he didn't slam or break anything! Lol
@@MamaCarola1 Ah, you're right. I never noticed but I'm so used to it by now. Lol.Have a great day Mama.

How is she living in New York for only $1K per month if her rent is almost $1.7K per month? I don't get it. lol 🧚♀
So that he can up the views when you click on it. I love these videos but I hate his deceiving titles of them. This is the first I have watched in awhile because of this.

Stephen… Stephanie he’s from Maine too, is there a relation? Huumm
Her apartment is so clean and organized! I’m jealous of her place and I don’t live in Manhattan or even New York!
EXCEPT ITS NOT $1000 a month she quite clearly stated it started at $1600
Dude, who cares? It's not like you're paying her rent.

I don’t know why you said in your title that she lives in NYC for $1000 a month when it’s stated in the video it’s clearly more than that… Clickbait?
Yes and it's also to get people to comment and correct him, which you have.
She has a wonderful NYC apartment!
I really like her and the affordable apartment but she needs to warm it up make it a little cozier. I’m all about cozy. A few larger rugs to break up the spaces, some homier pictures and for the love of all things holy “stop” with tying those curtains nothing kills me more than tying curtains in the middle!!! It looks awful 😣. Put some decent sheers up there so you’re still (allowing light in)please. They are inexpensive and look better than one curtain tied in the middle arghh!! I’m sorry I apologize for criticizing but hopefully she’ll take my advice… Great place and fabulous price just needs some TLC. NOW! High five for scoring this is place!! 🤚🏼✋🏽😉
What a sweet little apartment. Love how comfortable this tour was. Especially popping cool drink at her table. Thank you Stephanie for opening up your home. 😊
Cash, you are a super interviewer. Ask the questions we wanted answers to.. great vlog!
I love that you are doing this series. Erik Conover, your sometimes collab partner, said he was going to do a series like this but he’s only done a couple of them. It’s nice to see that you have more follow through. Erik is going to need step up his game!
The question is not how, it’s why? I love these videos as everytime I watch them it confirms in my mind why I would never go to NYC. Not if you paid ME $1000 a month. Fun to live vicariously through CJ though. His hilarious sarcasm always shines through.
FINALLY! A NYC apartment that is worth the rent!
That is a great find. There are a lot of landlord friendly decorating hacks that could make the space stand out.
Why do you describe this apt. at $1,000? I know you need people to click, but you leave out $650 in rent, and up to $200 in utilities.
A pleasant smiling New Yorker what a rare person!! Nice apt at a fair rent.
A lot of them say hi to Cash with a pleasant smile. Maybe it's because he is pleasant and smiling.
Really enjoyed this video. Love her set up, organization, and the apartment itself is great. She's living a cool life, I'd hang with her.
This is probably one of the best episodes that you've done in quite a while! I love her place, so huge! And she's so nice, someone that I would want to know. I know it's far from Manhattan but if you can WFH and don't need to go out every night that's not a big deal. Brooklyn's got a tone of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. I would absolutely love to live in this place! Compared to the very small one bedroom place that I share with my partner, a dog and a cockatiel this place is enormous!
I love this apartment, especially for N.Y. although its not $1000, its still super spacious, and quaint. Makes me wanna pack up here, and come back home.🍎❤.
$1650 is not $1000. You should change the title to "$1700"
even then thats just the rent, not the amount of money shes spending on living in ny
So it’s not $1000, it was $1650 and now around $1700 in Brooklyn?
There is a big difference (^^;)
When was a student in NYC, it was around $500-$800 in Brooklyn believe it or not!! And I always chose a Manhattan apartment because still it was possible to live there.
She lucked out finding that gem! It's big, nice, quiet and really affordable!
Such a clickbait title. I'm not disliking this only bcoz of that charming woman. Writers are the best neighbors too
It's nice. I hope she continues to love it. $1716. Invest that money you save! The mind needs space, different rooms and closets galore! Trading view for quiet is great. Kitchen with seating is great. Yellow bathroom tile with black border is nice. It's nice for the price.
What a great apartment! She looks very comfortable there. I'm sure that this video has made a lot of people envious!
HOW? She doesn't. She pays $1,700.
Exactly he's so full of it!
Hi from beautiful Penobscot Bay Maine, Stephanie ~
How does she live on $1000 a month if the rent is $1700? That's magic. And is anyone but me sick of Temu and it's annoying ads?
She doesn't. The title was click bait. Lol
This guy’s clickbait titles piss me off- I mean I get the hustle, but I dislike the lie
The real question is why is he allowed to keep getting away with it for so long without some form of backlash?
@@123RADIOactive me and my girl usually chuck on his most recent video in the mornings whern we get ready, kind of out of habit and because some apartments are cool, but he seems to constantly talk shit and produce kinda low effort videos in the way that he clearly puts no thoughts into what he's saying, so much of it is just literally false and bland waffling, and almost never ever does his title line up with what happens in the video, or the title is just extreme compared to what you see in the video. i think a lot of us who would be critical of it have slowly gotten to always expect it, and then you read the comments and you see so many people not even picking up on it, or they completely dickride the creator. i saw a comment talking about how cash jordan feels like a friend to them after having watched some videos... parasocial relationships are weird man

Hey Stephanie! Great find from one Mainer to another. It reminds me of so many apartments in Portland.
And it’s not a far from Shore Parkway to walk along the water with a view of the Verrazano Bridge. And so close to the B train. So many choices for authentic Chinese and Italian food. (My old neighborhood.)

Hi Cash, I like Stephanie’s beautiful small and simple NYC apartment. $1000 a month is pretty affordable. Great tour so glad she is happy with her nice apartment in Brooklyn, NY👍😎
Make sure to actually watch the video, to learn the ACTUAL price she pays. (Hint: It's not $1000)
I had to pause to see all of the titles on her book shelf, and she has some very great YA titles there! Very good taste!
The neighborhood is called Bensonhurst . 40 years ago it was the fictional home of "Saturday Night Fever, "Tony Manero " and in the 1950's , the Honeymooners Ralph Kramden. It was a working class Italian American enclave. There are still some pizzerias, coffee houses , social and soccer clubs and Italian American style bakeries here and there. They are fast disappearing . It is now predominately Asian but still mostly working class so there are no hipster amenities like vegan restaurants, hipster bars, hipster style coffee shops, or trendy restaurants.. Mostly laundromats, 99 cent stores, Chinese owned haircutters, Chinese coffee places etc Chinese stores. .The housing stock is mainly rent stabilized apartment houses and two and three family homes with family landlords that rent out extra apartments. It's days as the last cheap place to live are numbered because of creeping gentrification from encroaching trendies priced out of nearby Sunset Park. It's on the cusp of Brooklyn's China town on 8th Ave.too so it's popular with the Asian Community too. Say goodbye to cheap rents here because it's days of being free from out of towners is just about over. . The only thing that can save Bensonhurst is that it's a schlep to Manhattan mostly on the N train. But the N is an express so it's probably on its way to being Bushwick. It's a shame. It was the heart of Brooklyn.
Forgot that the D train is there too within walking distance, It's also an express subway train so Bensonhurst ' s relatively inexpensive rents are doomed to skyrocket with more gentrification and out of state people finding their to the formerly unknown area. Rents will be on a par with the trendier neighborhoods once apartments go out of rent stabilization regulations.
That's the only New York apartment I've seen on this channel that I could 1) see myself living in and 2) afford.
the Barenaked Ladies signed box of mac n cheese is the most adorable thing ever lmaooooo
Over $1700, not $1000.
It's nice to see how people live and decorate in these apts..
I pay 2k for a renovated 2 bed 1 bath in Astoria, 15 minutes from midtown, NYC has a terrible stigma of being expensive EVERYWHERE.
