What a beautiful building! I love the windows! I'm so glad they "had to work around.." the building features. Buildings like this need preservation. It's too bad that renting in NYC for most requires a roommate, or several roommates, to be affordable. I would have a problem with that. I hate most people and just tolerate the rest. 😉 so no NYC apartment living for me! Thanks for the video, Cash! 👍
The high windows in that last apartment's bedroom are especially cool because you get more wall space and more options as to where you can put your furniture.
I really love the studio apartment. The brightness is like being up in heaven and actually looking out at the other parts of the church makes you feel like you might be there or on your way. Those windows are truly unique and I would love to have it. Romeo Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo? As for the larger units, they seem to lack character and the views are not as nice. Also I did take note of the higher Windows which does bring brightness into the apartment okay but just picture sitting beneath them at a table and you can't even look out the window 😉
I like them all. Budget allowing, I would take any of them, but they don’t have in-unit washer and dryer, which is a deal breaker for this California kid.
I absolutely love all the apartments in this building. The layout is wonderful in all. One can easily see much thought, planning, creativity and talent went into the design while at the same time preserving the original building. Way better than what most do to existing structures by gutting and starting from scratch. Maybe more renovations should be approached in this manner. Very classy outcome. Perfection! Thank you again for another wonderful tour and Happy Father's Day.
Love your videos! As I was my younger self, as a professional figure skater with Ice Capades, I did live in New York in a beautiful apartment overlooking Central Park, and it was wonderful with 3 bedrooms. Of course I’m old now, but I love your touring of New York! ❤! These apartments as beautiful 😍
There's an AirBnB in a church in my town i want to try at some point. I did the train station for my birthday in January. Love that deck, it's so nice!
It's definitely cool to see the building's older features kept and maintained as the interior was updated; the spaces overall look pretty good, and the view on the roof deck is cool. May not be able to afford them anytime soon, but a pretty well-done conversion.
Fabulous and close to real French Like Pain au chocolat...they have it down..I can tell...Oh heaven..bet they have Almond Croissant too...I always get a little giggle from one of your insider's dry humor tips,..thank you..sure it adds a year to my life as they accumulate.

3:07, thats for "wall ball" as we called as kids. Play it with a tennis ball, forgot the exact rules but the way we played it if you screwed up you had to bend over at a 45 degree angle and touch the wall while the other person who last threw it got to chuck the ball as hard as possible at your ass. Or if somebody caught it without it bouncing then all the other players had to line up on the wall, ass facing up and the person who got it could beam you as hard as possible with the tennis ball
I think that building is right up there with anything you've shown, Cash. All the apartments seemed equally great and I would live there no worries - bit of a commute to Australia though 🤣
I love the studio. It is smaller but the windows make it look 8igger, And when the weather is good, you could extend your living area out onto the deck with a garden and some chairs. I like the privacy of the studio being on the top floor too.
Just be warned, if you get the apt with the window in the closet, Cover it, like all other windows, and Make Sure It Is Locked! Because that is where your intruders will come in. I had a window like that, that I had gone through a whole lot of trouble to get free so I could open it for air in an apt without a/c. only to be broken into TWICE using That window. Because it's not a window that you see all the time, it's vulnerable.
I'm aware of the attraction people feel to pay nearly $5k per month to live in small space within an overall a densely populated area. I talk with New Yorkers who have moved on to slower paces of life often. Perspective, $250k can buy acres of land in relatively prestine and unpolluted environment while also being within 30 minutes of a Trader Joe's. The nearest neighbor can be halfway to the horizo, the city center would be a casual drive with a scenic lakeview alomg the way and you would own the land. So for almost the same payments for this apartment plus other cost of living, an individual can become a landlord and setup the future 60 year old self with a private kingdom. Renting is a nessicity while figuring out the next move.
There is another Subway access point 1.15km from Whiskers Vegan Cafe where you go up steps to get your ticket or use your personal metro ticket then you go up more steps to get to the platform proper.

If Christians did cool things for their communities like that more often they would begin to fill their churches up again. Love the architectural features, especially the windows. The outdoor spaces are really nice, the views for one and the covered deck for another. The kitchens have good storage and appliances, but I don't think I saw a microwave in any of them. The bathrooms are fairly large with nice surfaces and fixtures.
