- How much would you spend on a Mango? In Japan you can get the best, most cared for, perfect Miyazaki mango...for $100! What does it taste like? We'll compare it to a regular mango you can get in Japan and see what the fuss is about. Is it worth it? No. I won't play around. It's not, but it's still the best mango I ever had in my life!

No it doesn’t. It might not be worth $100 but I lived in Oz and no mango on earth unless grown the same way is as perfect. Most people can’t tell the difference of $15 wine and $100 either but it’s different. You can’t see the color and texture in the video and if you don’t understand why that’s important to the Japanese, well can’t help you there.

In the USA i bought durian at a fancy fruit place amd honestly I wasn't a fan but I'm guessing maybe it wasn't a super 'good' one...it tasted nasty. Not the smell, but the taste was meh

I'm from Honduras and those types of mangoes cost 15 Lempiras, which is roughly 0.61 USD. Lol, I don't buy them often because I think they're overpriced. Luckily enough, my boyfriend has a mango tree in his backyard so he brings me bags full of free mangoes! ♥
The only mangoes here that cost even close to that price (about $1 usd) are the ugly, partially rotting ones you can find in the discount bin at international grocery stores ;_;

Fruit is expensive in japan due to their strict importing regulations on argricultural products. Also they have minimal farming space because essentially theres a mountain range running down the whole center of the country.

@@eatyourkimchi if Simon and I lived in the same city, it would be dangerous. I'm sure we'd keep talking each other into buying one gadget or another. Tae finally had to set up a shelf for me in our office and require that all gadgets that come in the door get quickly filed away.

The seed should be added to a small saucepan of hot water, boiled. Then once fruit has cooked scrape off with spoon, if needed add a tiny about of extremely expensive honey. Two very delicate cups and enjoy hot as one would tea.
My hubby does this all the time with moderately priced fruit. I nominate Pineapple next.
Aslo the skin of pineapple gets boiled here with the core and a 1/2 stick of cinnamon to make a delicious teaish drink delightful consumed hot or cold. 💙💛 🍍

I know a $1000 food Martina can get behind: Serendipity 3 in New York's $1000 Golden Opulence ice cream sundae. it has edible 23-carat gold with caviar on top and It won a world record for being the worlds most expensive dessert. You literally have to call them and make an appointment so they can have the ingredients specially flown in for you. Also, it comes in a crystal glass that you get to keep.
