- I wanted to show all the variety of Japanese ice cream and other frozen desserts that you can get at the supermarket. Unfortunately, I'm bad at math, and didn't comprehend that eating 53 treats would take a long time to do, but it would also make a LONG video. After many failed attempts at shortening this beast of a project, it's still just shy of 50 minutes long. For all you frozen treat lovers, I hope you enjoy the dedication. My waistline sure did!

Did the world really need a nearly 50 minute video of my family, and let's admit it, mostly me eating half a hundred Japanese ice creams and other frozen treats? I suppose we'll see, won't we? I'll try and answer some questions about the treats if I can, but I think the video contains all my knowledge about Japanese ice cream that I possess.

so odd how Shin's English speaking accent has changed so much! His sister's English speaking accent still sounds the same as when they first started, but Shin seems more at home with speaking Japanese and his accent shows it :)

Your kids so big now! I've been following the channel from the start and it's crazy to see the change. I wonder, If we were to ask them what's their "native language" or the language they're most comfortable with, what would they say? I feel as if Aiko would say either both English and Japanese, or English. Whereas Shin would say Japanese for sure, and say he's not comfortable in English. Would love to see an updated video on how are their language skills developing? Such an interesting topic 😍 😍 😍
Shin's seems to have a fairly strong Japanese accent to his English. It would be very interesting.
I think Greg has said that the kids now view Japanese as the language they're most comfortable speaking since they've now been schooled longer in Japan. With Shin, since the family moved to Japan while he was still a young child, he's retained a lot of the English speaking patterns and lisp a smaller child would have, so his conversational growth hasn't been as strong as Aiko who had more schooling in English before they moved.
This video was really great. I think it is my favorite of all of your videos. The sweet and simple family interactions are heartwarming. Shin still has that mischievousness of a young boy and Aiko is such a beautiful young lady now. I really enjoyed watching.

I think it depends which one you have. You can get really sweet ones and more savory ones but either way I love them especially when it’s made into anko

We also have häagan-Dazs in Australia, my mum loves it.
Quite famously we have the Golden Gaytime, which it's a toffee and vanilla ice-cream dipped in compound chocolate and wrapped in honeycomb biscuits, on a wooden paddlepop-stick.
And every summer needs a zooper Dooper, which is a frozen iceblock in a plastic tube.
I'm a huge fan of Streets icecream, especially lemonade iceblocks.

I LOVE the Hagen Daas ice creams. When I visit I buy as much desserts as possible. I don’t see much non-dairy ice creams? TNT grocery markets and Fujiya here in YVR sells lots of the Japanese products.
