BIG update... (06/2023) I finished nursing school, got my nursing license and moved into a bigger SUV camper. You need to watch this ❤ - Here's the video: ua-cam.com/video/Y4NEWVHQ2MM/v-deo.html
your video (this one) iterally just came across to my youtube timeline for the first time, and I'm absolutely impressed and interested with such a small interior. And when I scroll down to the comments section, you dropped this big announcement.. this is rare lol
I slept in my truck, went to school full time, and worked a job for 3 years. Tough as it was, it paid off in the end. Money saved, I’m working my career, and I’m now expecting my second child in September with my wife in our home we own together. Keep going brother. It’s worth it.
you never know, this is why i believe in always treating people with respect and kindness. bro is out here living the fullest life possible, pursuing a degree, keeping a youtube channel alive and doing it all in good spirits. Thats inspiring. thanks for sharing your journey.
He has money for a nice car a nice setup and he's eating shrimp. I don't think he's that "organized" ha imagine being someone who does this shit for clout, you gotta be a real douche.
easier to eat a raw food diet: nuts, cereals, vegetables, fruits, protein supps., I can go on. no need to waste time resource n money on cooking meals.
Living in a car is like an art. Not everyone can do it successfully. I live in my car and sometimes do so successfully and other times not so much. It's like a skill that has to be developed and exercised like learning a dance or how to drive.
I lived in my car as a teenager. Later I lived in the the hood and man was it hard. I had to remind myself every day I have a good job and I have a plan. Now I own my own home. I applaud anyone struggling working towards their dreams with a good attitude.
Anyone who has a work ethic like yours while keeping a smile living in a car is superhuman! You are actually amazing. You deserve all the success in the world.
It can actually be 'freeing' to live like that. Brings a certaine tranquility. I've lived from in a car for 6 months during my travels in Aussie, when I was younger. When I went back for a second time, I did hostels, which were only for 2 months. I enjoyed myself more and was more relaxed from living out of the car than living from out of hostels. There is something about the simplicity of living out of a car, that somehow makes life feel more grounded. On the other hand, don't know how sustainable it is when you have to do it your entire life. As you get older, it probably will get less comfortable. Sports cars aren't really the way to do it though.
Unsure why YT recommended this to me but I’m so glad I watched. As a fellow nurse, I have so much respect for this guy. He is the definition of taking what he’s got and making it work. Not feeling bad for himself. Not making any excuses. Inspirational.
Well okay I will tell u what - here is just another possible more appropriate & commonly said hack - - How about NEVER telling other one the Anti-social media U Don't even know what or what NOT to do - - - Man seems pretty smart & clever - So honestly really just choosing NOT to buy it - nursing school & a Camaro & imagine he is likely clever enough to fine to finances to have a place call a roof over his head Vs a car - that could just as easily get towed or damaged - I might be surprised that that many auto insurance companies might encourage using ones car for living regularly unless not a working car anymore
I was homeless for 5 years with my children. I made it work. Lived in the car, gyms and hotels, I took everyone to school and work. I never gave up, even though I wanted to some days. Starting a new job at the hospital soon and renting a home. It can only go up from here. Blessing to come no matter how the economy looks. I will own homes and pass my blessings on.
Bro could just work more. Sacrificing your health, romantic relationships and plutonic relationships, the most important qualities of life, for what? A little bit of money? He could easily make up for that by doing Uber or working more.
I think the biggest take away from watching this is how much of a positive vibe this guy is putting out considering the circumstances and his patience and will power to survive is remarkable
But he’s rich lol? It’s not hard to survive when you have tons of resources brother 💪 This is more like a well calculated financial decision with a POSITIVE net gain.
That’s exactly what i thought too! My little sister owns a Citroen Berlingo minivan and she kind of transformed it into a camper so she could live in it. She quit her job then the apartment lease to gain some freedom and to go soul searching in the southern Spain!
I love this guy’s attitude. He is truly the epitome of living in the moment. He doesn’t complain, you can really see he’s entirely focused on what he’s doing and he made a CAMARO comfortable enough to live in! He’s such an awesome example. I went through nursing school with a roof over my head, not needing to work or pay bills and I still managed to complain every day. Kudos to you you’re truly an inspiration 😊
@@travisvanalst4698 nope. I went from a 1mm house to a car. Comfy. Loved it. Bought another house and feel closed in lol. Bought a car w bigger windows. I sleep there when I'm on the road.
I just found this video, i don't know your background but If i was an employer, I'd hire you in a heartbeat. You're the kind of person who makes a great employee/entrepreneur, your attitude is one for the case studies, unbelievable. You are not complaining about your lifestyle but you're finding solutions to your challenges. You'll go far my man, that's for sure. Godspeed 🙏
I had to do this for 3 weeks. In and out of hotels sometimes. Working 2 jobs and after about a month , I had my own apartment and man just watching him wake up and turn the car on damn near made cry. Bad times make u stronger

I like how we are enjoying the funner, bright side of "living" in a vehicle. I was swallowed by tremendous shame when I unintentionally landed living in my vehicle until I stumbled on UA-cam. Thanks for being a positive force in a darker world than I could have ever imagined. ❤
@@Bricktown982 it's pretty bad when you have to hide from bad guys, good guys, home dwellers, law enforcement, and become invisible in society. When you see people cross the street to avoid walking past you because you are dwelling in a vehicle, it hurts. That's why seeing others doing it and finding ways to be joyous in a vehicle have helped in untold ways.
@@XDot_FLOCKS you have created a warm fuzzy in my spirit. I really really thank you for your kindness. Little bits are better. I just value kind people so much and THAT helps so much.
@Imthesoulofthes way better than nothing ...you got a car to go were you want and a place to get by without a soul knowing . The real way to pull off homeless but without being a bother.
@@hustleusa Me and my husband have lived in our van for over 4 years with a setup similar to this. And we did indeed meet around the time when it began. Couldn't be happier!
Honestly youtube is all the difference. Maybe 10 years ago this would be a different story. He's not a "loser" living in his car, he's a content creator documenting a lifestyle option. Amazing what a little perspective does to one's situation. Right on man, take advantage of all opportunities.
This is real. Hundreds of people in Los Angeles live in Youth Hostels this way, thousands in Japan rent sleep compartments. Better have gratitude for what you have and not harass or hate on others with less, because that’s YOUR future.
Wow... I'm so impressed that you do everything you do in that size car... even keeping up with video editing, studying for nursing school and all of that. You're a smart and resourceful guy!
Perfect example of why a house is only a shell. A home is the people inside it. This man will forever make a home wherever he ends up. Perseverance and ingenuity personified.
Hello! I truly love your videos!! I'm a 65 yr old woman in Missouri. I've been fighting cancer and other rough health issues and I watch your videos on the days that are bad and you make me feel sooo much better. I have been to Montreal, Canada to visit friends and I love that city. Thank You for sharing your life and for the hard work it takes to make these videos. Congratulations on obtaining your Nursing degree!! Take Care and I hope blessings follow you wherever you go!
For real! I had to skip around the video to double check that it was a chevy camaro and he wasnt talking about some other "bigger" camaro i didnt know about lol.
It is financial manipulation & relative financial control & slavery. It has been planned. What is the outcome of rents, mortgages, food & energy costs going up? Obviously the idea is that you work harder & longer hours for the rich elite too survive
I've been living in my truck for the past 5 years. Now Im able to rent a home. Those 5 years was hard times for me., but don't regret it at all. It taught me valuable lessons.
@@DG-EditsYT another hater that's talking outta his Ass Jeff is just mad because he lives at home with "Mama" and my guy Mr.Camero has it figured out to a "T" ✌️✌️✌️
YT suggested me this video and I thought it was going to be like other van/bus housing tour but my jaw dropped through the entire video. Mad respect to this guy. He has great personality and making the best out of what he has with positivity. I hope you become successful in life man. You’re really inspiring.
Same lol, I kept finding myself feeling sorry for him, like he's really in denial like "everything's fine 🙂" when really he's struggling. But I mean, he might not be struggling, and just chose to live that way. He probably doesn't want me feeling sorry for him, but I respect him anyway.
He seemed "successful" to me. But we all have different ideas about what that is, right?.. To me, it's not about how much money one makes. If that's the case, then we all fail To me, "success" is about being truly free.. And again, we all fail.
@@vaekkriinhart4347 Absolutely, I intended to wish him successful in his life in his own terms. He’s still young and he’s a student. While fully living in the present, there’re still more in life ahead of him. So whatever he does I just wish he could make the best out of it in his own terms of value and happiness:)
Wow he’s got guts showing people his personal life. A lot if people be to embarrassed and prideful but he’s a confident secure person to show a humble beginnings video most people wait until they’re at top to show their lives. I hope he goes far in life, have a family and be happy. God bless you young man 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
he's making a fair amount of money doing this, so it's not like it's just out of the kindness of his heart. i bet if there was no such thing as monetized video content, he wouldn't be wasting time doing it.
Your ingenuity blew me away. The fact that you were able to do all of that in that tiny car is definitely commendable. Wishing u nothing but the best of luck
You've created a masterpiece of a covert camping car, outfitted to a very high standard to be self contained, ergonomic and virtually 'invisible' once parked! You're extremely well organised and highly professional in how you conduct yourself, giving no grounds for anyone to complain. Others should consider following your example.
My girlfriend just spent 3 years in nursing school while working full time. I've seen first hand how difficult it is. She made it and is enjoying her career and the things that come with it. What I've seen in this one video proves that you are a very dedicated and strong person. You will make it through school, and you will be an excellent nurse. Best of luck with your career!
@@CallMeAKEdits Lol there was another comment by someone named Keylara talking about the same stuff but in first person. Maybe that person is his girlfriend lol, they both were an RN and both did three years
@@nikoandroman Different person. 3 years is common in my experience. Many schools offer 3 year BSN programs and more and more employers are requiring people to have their BSN so it seems to be the way to go in some places at least.
This guy is crazy fr. Going full survival mode, while studying to become a licensed nurse, while making youtube videos!?!? I really wish him the best of luck and that he accomplishes everything he wishes for 🙌🏻
@@peppersanches412yeah, where would he poop and what happens if he had the runs all day or something. Use a bucket ? Then what would you do with it when finished ?
When you make it big, you're gonna be proud of these times. Comfort makes you weak. Tough times make you rise. You're building inner strength and mental toughness that's gonna serve you very well all your life. You're an inspiration.

Love to see others go through the same journey I did when I was younger, 43 now but I was 18 living in San Diego when I decided to live in my truck with a camper to save money to buy a house which I did. Life is full of possibilities you just have to expose all the opportunities no matter how crazy it may seem at the time as long as it helps you take steps towards your goals.
Huge respect to you. You're living in a car and you're still managing to cook for yourself and keep everything organised. That is a lot harder than it looks, and takes a lot of self-discipline and resilience. That said, no one should have to be in this situation, I really hope you find something more permanent soon.
You are working good money now as a nurse, so I would recommend finding a nice apartment that's not too expensive to share with someone nice. That way you could still save lots of money. Life is too short to live so uncomfortably when you now have the means to do better. Yes dear, life can be really short. Live your best life everyday you live, and make sure your soul salvation is sure by accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior today. Tune in to TBN one of the best gospel stations on TV, instead of always watching funny sitcoms or being on the internet. May God bless you always. I am very proud of what you did to get where your are, but you don't need to live that way anymore. Road life is not safe for anyone who values his or her life. This advice is coming from someone with vast experience in life. Good luck dear.🙏
I’m a RN and have been for 23 years. I remember how hard nursing school was. Major props to you managing it and living in your car. God bless anyone for still wanting to come into this profession ❤
This guy is smart. He's not out living in a great big RV or big school bus that screams attention. He's keeping his presence on the down-low. Kudos for doing what you're doing. ❤️
What's sad is, Walmart use to let overnight parking. Lately they make people in cars move. They let RVs and bus and even Vans stay. Walmart in Marion NC is bad attitude and it was middle of day. I work 3rd shift and just wanted to park and nap. It's was kinda cool. I hung towels over windows half in, half out the door. It keeps it warm inside. Stops cold from getting to windows. Was parked far away from store in a corner nearly empty. They were just being nasty. Anyways. I was getting good at living in my car.
lived in a minivan for about a year. It was good and cozy. The tricky part is finding the right parking spaces and cycle them, so people do not get too suspicious. Other than that, I saved up an enormous amount of money by cutting out cost for rent and utilities.
Interesting cuz in France I do have friend living in van and In the Netherlands too and here it's super easy to find safe parking spot and u can stay legally for a month each time !
Jesus Christ loves you ❤ He wants to save you and give you beautiful everlasting life! God is calling you today. This life is temporary but heaven and hell are forever. Only through Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross can we get into heaven. Because no one comes to the Father but by Him. The blood of Jesus washes us clean from our sins. He loves you and wants you to have that. Believe and repent before it’s too late 🙏 God bless you.
I wish to God I had the balls of this man. The balls to relinquish all fear of judgment and making every sacrifice needed to get ahead in life. He is saving a ton of money based on his choices and more than likely will be far ahead of the average citizen later on in life. Much respect.
Dude, you’re a vet at car living. I’m at it since 8/22. Started it for several reasons but I have stuck with it for no reason…no reason to quit that is. I’m 54 and divorced. My credit is shot and I had to abandon a lot of things. But they were just things. You are further along in your solutions to the challenges we face as car habitants but i have an SUV with a memory foam mattress. I think you have outdone my efforts in every other way though and in a Camaro of all cars. Respect bro. People that want to de-stress or uncomplicate their lives a little or just want or need to save money should consider car living. I do everything everybody else does except pay a mortgage and utility bills. I love it.
Hi Leroy, I read you story and I thank you. This lifestyle isn't for everyone & If this lifestyle is working for you still, there's "no reason to quit" like you said! Be aware you will get burnt out - there's no shame in taking a break and renting something for a week (for example). In fact, A break is good because it refuels the passion and willingness to continue this lifestyle.
I think its interesting for people who swap living from living an apt or home for a car,van or suv. Do what you have to do to survive. I personally couldn't do it as id rather be tired working 2 jobs just to be able to afford some peace of mind and quiet. Its just one perspective and not to knock on others.
I live in a big city.. I keep saying to my husband that I would be so happy if him our dog and I all just lived together in a van in the South. Now we are trying to start a family so it might have to be an Rv 😂😂😂 but I like what this guys thinking! Very smart
This is honestly pretty sad. To think, there was a time where a young man approximately his age could've bought a house working solo. Now, we have people living in cars. Look at where we're headed.
The worst part is a lot of the older folk still don't realise or understand this. They really believe that younger people nowadays are too lazy or spend too much money on "avocado toast" when it has already been proven wages haven't increased enough (not even close) to keep up with the cost of living.
i just want to tell you... thanks for making this video, 1 year ago i feel struggel with my big project, i create a mobile app for the first time, and when i feel burnout, your video appears and give me a comfort feeling
I'm assembling my vanlife and I'm so glad I found your channel. Your approach and manner is amazing and I'm looking forward to learning more from you. As a retired hospital PA, I would have LOVED to work with a nurse like you. Authenticity and enthusiasm go a very long way in providing healthcare. Best of luck to you in all that you do. Go get 'em!
Welcome here, Michelle - It must be very exciting to get into vanlife for you! It's very fulfilling to work in healthcare, It's my dream to become a Registered Nurse. Thank you for the comment!
? I bought a inverter so I could use my heat blanket. I ended up killing my battery. Do you have an extra battery just for that? Are the solar panels hard to use? And your fridge problem. They have coolers all sizes that act like a fridge, they plug in. Not sure if it would run off solar but prob would. Where is your water coming from? I bought bottle water or just filled gallon jugs when I needed to.
Thanks. As an older person, I’m filled with pride and a touch of sadness that you live in your car. Pride because you’re making the best of life, sadness because I want more for younger people. I could be wrong as this is my first time seeing your channel and maybe you’re doing this out of choice, I really don’t know. If I’m able to send more in the future, I certainly will. I lived in my business on and off for 5 years. No shower, no proper kitchen and no washer or dryer. It definitely grinds on you. On holidays the gyms were closed so no shower unless I went to a friend's place. I definitely saved money . I've lived in many interesting places over the years. To this day, I really appreciate showers, closets, couches, and a dining room table.
Bit of cleaning advise. Get a bottle fill 25 to 30 % vinegar and dilute with water. Great 4 cleaning, degreasing and disinfecting dishes, hands etc....
I knew a guy in college that lived in a small van while he went to school. He did it for three full years. Put himself through school and graduated debt free. He was so creative with his food and daily living. He could have used solar! Keeping warm was the hardest, even with insulating the vehicle.
It’s crazy how fast it gets cold in a car. I slept with two jackets and two blankets and still woke up freezing cold. The blanket itself was cold so I have to keep turning the car on to warm up.
This is the first time I've ever heard of you, and I am super impressed. As a single guy, this totally makes sense AND it's fun. In the current state of the world in 2023 you need to be prepared for anything and you have done it. You've earned my subscription to your channel.
@OSTOTD I completely get what you are saying. It's easy to say you are doing this full-time while still using facilities. Now, taking a dump in the back of your car, into a pail filled with cat litter, balancing a urine bottle and squatting. Now that different. 10 months in my car -44 c in the winter, no heater that's insane. But both are as regular in my day as taking a sponge bath on my car in a mall parking lot. No regrets, never.
Nice video! Tips for items to make it more functional: 1. A cover for your sink, in order to use as a table. 2. A 6 can mini fridge for small stash of cream and few cool drinks for a hot day, or powdered creamer as an alternative if cream is a must. Well wishes on your classes 💛💛💛💛
I hope everything goes well for you. Keep putting in the work and you’ll get there. A few years ago I ended up living in my car in one of the coldest winters in decades. It wasn’t by choice but I’m so grateful for every little thing I have now that I have a roof over my head. I have never forgotten those days & how they shaped me.
When I was in college I lived in an attic with no heat through Cleveland winter. I built a tent out of a tarp and microphone cable with a mini ceramic heater I ran off the landlord's electric. Covered my bed and the GF didn't complain too much. Good times I'll never forget.
Goes to show you don’t need a whole lot. One dish, one plastic cup, one pan when solo…so practical. So smart. If you can seeing this, it makes you think how much money you would save in 6 months to a year! If you can be this minimalist when it comes to living in a car and not requiring much, you can save a lot and FAST. He is very smart. Best to you in all your endeavors.
This is impressive. I’m roughly the size of a Sasquatch and this could never work for me in a van let alone a camero. I’m amazed how organized you are and how much you can do with such limited space. Great job!

@@jessa.3857 Yeah, I suppose, and that's what Debbie suggested above too, so I guess they'd have to park somewhere near a gym or such establishments that have toilet and shower facilities, and allow the public to use them, or maybe they have to pay a minimum amount or become a member?
Don’t get me wrong I love your video, your positive attitude, and the incredible skills you do to achieve this!

They have coolers all sizes that act like a fridge, they plug in. Not sure if it would run off solar but prob would. Where is your water coming from? I bought bottle water or just filled gallon jugs when I needed to.
A van is like yacht compared to living a car lol
Be strong brother. 🙏🏾
Jay, thank you for the support and kind words! I do this to save more money versus paying the raising rent prices, something I couldn't justify. I hope to purchase land and build my own home in the future.
Sadness? It’s his choice if he wants to live in a that size of a car. He could always sell it for something way more bigger and practical.
@@solarcampercarDo you have any family members who would let you stay with them? Or you could possibly split the rent or at least contribute to the household in someway. In the winter of 2016 I went traveling across Scandinavia and Europe by my Skoda Yeti and lived in it for a month. Visited almost all countries, lost a lot of weight and became happier.
In the future plan to do the same trip but across America in early autumn.
I lived in a mini van for most of ten years. I travelled a lot and spent my winters in the Phoenix area and one winter in Southern California. I worked temp jobs and two summers at the Grand canyon. I worked day labor and worked in restaurants and did professional sign waving at the side of streets. I had jobs with a temp service. I went to St. Vincent Free food kitchen and got free food at the Salvation Army in Prescott, Az. I spent two springs and summers in Boulder, Colorado. I had room in my minivan for clothes, sleeping bags, food, etc. I was protected from wind and rain, and no insects. Locked my doors at night, slept well and I could stretch out. If you live in a vehicle, get your windows tinted extra dark so people can't see inside. Don't park at night in front of private homes because they'll call the police.
He got married had two children then his wife divorced him and took all his money and he deleted himself
It’s crazy how fast it gets cold in a car. I slept with two jackets and two blankets and still woke up freezing cold. The blanket itself was cold so I have to keep turning the car on to warm up.

@@acmhfmggru true. You’d need a bigger car to be “prepared for anything” and even then a secure location is superior to a car for prepping.

@OSTOTD I completely get what you are saying. It's easy to say you are doing this full-time while still using facilities. Now, taking a dump in the back of your car, into a pail filled with cat litter, balancing a urine bottle and squatting.
