Events need to make "no fighting" a zero tolerance policy, all the actual racers are good vibes before and after a race and it's usually the fools hanging around the starting line that start shit.
As an 11 year old in 1969 I loved coming here with my neighbor in his '63 Dodge Polara (ex-cop car) with a 413 mill. We'd drive here in that car, race and drive home the 30 or so miles to Columbus. That Dodge took Top Eliminator week after week until a 427 Yenko Camaro started showing up, then never again. In those days this was a QUARTER MILE track! I'll never forget the time a 427 front-engined '64 Corvair turned 10:24 quarter, then barrel rolled in the postage- stamp shut down area. Driver was OK and back racing that 'Vair in a few weeks. Best childhood ever!

@ BigSausagePizzaMedia Not with TT, A lot of those races are won on the big end! When you have Dragsters or funny cars where both vehicles are pretty much equal the race is usually won at the light, So why not just race 60’?
I've been going to this track since before I could walk, back when it was just called Bean Blossom. I'm very happy 1320 get what it is about and appreciate a genuine spot. Plenty of stories about the shutdown area being too short!

The stang that went into the woods towards the end of the video is called Raggety Anne. Owners name is CJ. He has a UA-cam channel, Raggedy Ann Ohio Small Tire, that shows the GoPro footage of the wreck. This happened a few months ago. Glad he walked away from this one.
dont get me wrong i like seeing the prepped surface for 1/4 mile BUT this and street racing are by far my favorite. you get to see the real skilled drivers and tuners
I bet that “Todd” guy is probably an engineer or something as his career. Those are the kinda folks that are super smart and can figure out a winning combination than tweak little by little to go faster without grenading the whole thing.
This looks a little like the "Old Highway" we used to race on as kids. Middle of nowhere, unused most of the time, sketchy surface, ditch, trees... good times!
I've seen all kinds of drag racing. Tons of no-prep races. Sketchy spots in business parks. Even full blown "Fast & Furious" races on a section of a Park & Ride. And this is by far the wildest, most bare-bones thing I've ever seen in drag. I could watch this all week.
I love this track, even though it is savage af. This reminds me of the backyard wrestling videos I used to watch in the mid 2000s. Great entertainment!
Glad to hear the driver made out OK. Just quick to the man with the Vega. Great car but your shoulder straps are mounted too low. If you crash the straps will pull down, putting your spine into compression. I used to work on stock cars. We had a spec on how to mount them.
Mate props to everyone that takes there cars here, its very exciting racing to watch but the size of balls to be the one lining up your pride & joy / race car is immense.

Ill def give the tan mustang driver props. After the first bounce he was gonna drift over to other lane and prob wouldn't have crashed anymore. However if he would have continued into that lane he would have nailed the other car. So he steers away from the other car! A true gentleman!!

Problem is for most of us all we have are public streets. There's no drag strips even close to me as they were all shut down. We need more and they need to be affordable.
Love the Vega I'm 62 when I was 17 , 18 I owned the one millionth Vega. The title & the door handle had it on them . We used to build the 4 cylinder. 60 over it was wicked fast , I wish I had the cahonies to ls one & run it . Great videos , keep up the great work .

That blue Chevy pick up had to have c clip rear to break that axle like that. Looks like you almost had a good cat fight up close to the starting line. Great video. That tracks about five hours from my house. Might have to try and make that race next year. Looks like a good time
Some pretty cool cars and great passes. That Vega is the type of sleeper I love. A vehicle that hardly has anything done to the original exterior and interior, but is hiding something under the hood and has some chassis tuning. The white G-body Malibu had a great pass in the first round. This is the first time I've seen an 80s Ram in your videos. That Fairmont and some other cars did crazy wheelies! I always love getting to see a Gremlin on the drag strip.
This was awesome , i love this kind of venue , dangerous but exciting . Great coverage guys , thankyou so much for covering this. And i hope you come back next year.

Not a fan of 1/8th mile but this track and outlaw racing is the closest thing to street racing I've seen. I like the the unsterile vibe.
