War in the Woods 11! We Returned to the Sketchy Track and This Time, Things Were Even Crazier!

- Hey everyone, we headed back to Brown County Dragway to check out the 2nd event of the year, War in the Woods 11.
They ran big tire, hard tire, small tire, true street and gangster class. Tons of people came out and there were lots of heavy hitters present!

Just wish people weren’t allowed to stand on the starting line. Messing up the launch pad with all those dirty shoes making it sketchier off the line than it needs to be.

It can be interesting at times.
After that Nova mowing through a bunch of drunk yokles, I hope the track had the signed releases - or they could certainly lose the track over a lawsuit like that (after 70 years). What with their 'bring the kids' on the track website. It'd be a shame for hillbilly heirloom meets brain injured drunk soccer mom's attorney... Geez, even OMG is sick of it,

Unfortunately that's the way things go though.luckily (as far as I know), nobody was really badly hurt in this.
What worried me more, was the rotten apple crash at the end. If that car would have gone through or over that guard rail, that could have been terrible.
It's tough to sometimes draw the line on what's safe and what's not, until that scenario presents itself.
If a cars motor explodes and shoots a rod into the grand stands, you could probably say, well all tracks should have some type of netting or fencing system to stop flying parts from hitting people in the crowd.. I know this sounds silly, but there have been instances of turbo wheels flying off cars at staging, and if one of those bad boys hit someone, it could do serious damage.
People standing on the Drag strip , bumpy track , track unprepared properly, disaster in the making , Track needs Resurfacing , they just don't have the Funds to make the repairs , it should be called wrecks and crashes !

THe "new" owner of the track "would be wise" to ban so many people on the starting line before someone gets killed. Tic-Tok dude. IF some IS killed you will get sued into oblivion. NO insurance company will cover your ass in such of a situation, guaranteed.

They should take the trees out amd put down sand to stop the cars from crashing. Ttees dont move and even a small one will kill you if you smash into it

While I do agree with you, this is a common problem at most tracks. Almost every npk event I have been to has people standing in front of the Burnout boxes, even outlaw Armageddon this weekend is the same thing. It seems like the thing to do at no prep events
@ThatTrackChannel yep,I know they just want to be as close to the action as they can get,but as we saw those drivers really has no way of the direction that car go's, and if your in they're way that's what happens. The owners of the track could find their selves in one heck of a law suit if someone was hurt or worse,if I were the owner I'd atleast put signs up saying it's restricted area. I grew up in drag racing so I know how much the fans gets,and especially if they've had several drinks. If you were at a Nascar race you'd never see people standing that close to the cars,I used to race at a drag strip in alabama,Lasseter man. It started as a 1/4 but changed to a 1/8 Noone was allowed on the staging area,I know it's none of my business but I just don't want to see someone get seriously hurt or worse
Great content. Probably the best I've seen of this race. Cool the vendors got to have a couple interviews - they help pay for these races, so they need some exposure.
