I have a 2011 Edge Limited with 72,000 miles, only thing ever replaced was brake booster and a weatherstrip on the sunroof. The touch screen is a bit temperamental at times though.
My Edge is awesome! I've driven it about 1000 miles to date. No issues at all. We are actually trading in my wife's 2012 Ford Escape Limited for a second Edge, only she wants the sport model.
I have a 2011 Edge Limited and love it, great options and 285hp makes it responsive but it's still great on gas. Plus I'm 6'3" and there's a lot of room. And the 12 speaker Sony system is impressive.
There are 3 ways to do every function in the Edge with MyFord Touch. 1) The center touchscreen 2) The d-pads on the steering wheel 3) By Voice command. If you don't like one, use one of the others. If you don't like any...don't buy an Edge. I got my '11 SEL AWD last week and love everything about it. I rigorously tested the MFT system and found no flaws at all. You won't find anything like this technology on any other car under $50k. At a touch under $40k, it's well worth it.
The reason behind the better acceleration is the new final drive they put in. The old 2.77 bogged the engine down, but the 3.16 it now has frees up the engine, resulting in easier acceleration.
@rforracing I guess it's suppose to be safer than taking your hands off the wheel and looking in different places other than in front of you. IDK, depends on how you look at it.
@CrayKray Excuse, but did you say the Ford Edge is "suped up"? In what way may I ask? Is it because it handles worse than a mack truck. Maybe because of the flashy light system that is absolutely useless. NO NO, I know, It is because you saw a commercial for it claiming its amazing...so it MUST be true, correct?
You're just embarrassing yourself saying Japanese cars are "rice burners". Crawl back into your hole, dude. For every person you know who likes Ford (and nothing wrong in that at all), one could bring a thousand Americans who like "burning rice" (as you would put it). Check the stats out. They exist for a reason. (And it doesn't have anything to with "rice").
just got my 2013 ford edge limited today in silver! absolute dream car

This is my second Edge and I like this one even more than my 2008. I get LOTS of compliments on it.
I have a 2011 with 57k on the clock. So far, so good. No major issues with it thus far.

How many miles do you have on it?

This video convinced me I want one. Great work.
the ford edge is really good vehicle. My family love it.
@KHT2313
Thanks! I will be making the Edge my next car, even if it isn't this latest generation. The last generation was a great ride too.
great commentary.. very detailed review..👌

Hi.......just wondering, how's your 2013 ford edge doing? Any issues? How many miles you have so far?
I love the styling of this new Edge, but how the hell can a 2011 "Limited" model not have HID headlights, when a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII had them lol.
I was looking at the mercedes ML350 and the edge. I choose this! Thank you for the review!

Does anybody here agree that the touch thing is too much for the car. I like the old style. All gauges. All buttons.
You mean it copied the Edge and a few other vehicles? That's a pinnacle of good design.....lol
Why the hell would you buy his when the Venza is about 1000times better
nice baby
