- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Ford Edge Limited. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Thank u for posting these even 5 yrs later it's useful thinking of buying a used one.
Good time for it. 1/2 off the original $40,000 tag at this point. Also, if a CPO car will pretty much renew the original basic and powertrain warranties. FWD is recommended, since AWD transfer case is the Achilles heel of this car.

you forgot to mention the interior accent lighting at night, in the footwells, door handles, cup holders, and dash. their led and you can make them any color you want.

He did make a slight misconception, at 2:15 / 16:17, he said fog lights. The button is actually the Dome Lamp Control.
Use to manually turn the dome lamp
on. You'd press the control. This will turn on the interior courtesy lights.
The lights will remain on until the
control is pressed again.
Not his fault. They are similar design. However. It is nice, I like the Edge over the Escape.

Nice video on this Edge. They really improved the interior compared to the 2010 and older ones.
My dad has this exact model and trim, but in silver. It drives so nice and it's very comfortable.

I thought only the "Sport" edition offered the automatic opening/closing rear gate and push button start. Interesting.
The "fog lights" button that you hit next to the headlight dial, is actually for the interior lighting. I know we all aren't perfect, I know I certainly am not with my reviews, but just thought I'd share a couple things just for future references. Apart from that, another fantastic review as always.

I cant find any car or SUV walkthroughs as good as yours, truthfully everyone elses suck. Your walkarounds are informative, up to date, and clear to the point, lets not forget detailed. Please keep it up if you have any new vids coming up soon on some 2012 SUV's please let me know. I love mid sized SUV's.

I love my edge limited.best car I have owned.Real quick,the button he pushes for the fog lamps is actually for the dome lamps.The only common issue seems to be the Vista roof closing issue.

They're reliable, drive well, are surprisingly quick, and get decent gas mileage.

Lol. I do believe this is now my ford edge. I just brought her used 2 weeks ago from concord near Charlotte. The original owner brought her from Charlotte from you guys. Believe it or not she is still in excellent condition just like brand new... interior and all! By any chance wouldn't have another key would you? I only got one when i just brought it.

I love my Ford Edge Limited!! It is so versatile. Luxurious, sporty, but durable like a pick up truck! I can tow things. My favorite part is my panoramic vista roof! Mine did not come with a cargo cover either.. just the cargo net.

Was thinking of buying one of these, need to get a little bit bigger vehicle because of family getting bigger. After watching this video I love the truck even more and this was the exact model I was getting. The only thing I don't like (and this is me being picky) are the 2 tone brown/black seats.

Couple things here dude, just coming from someone who works for Ford for future reference. First off, due to the lighting, I can't tell whether or not it's the Tuxedo Black Metallic or the solid non-metallic Black, but I'll take ur word for it. Tuxedo Black is in jeopardy now due to the pigment in the paint being made in Japan (affected due to the earthquake). Also, the fog lights are LED strips that come on automatically with the headlights.
When you see the exhausts tips in this car in person they look pretty dam big lol. i was surprised.
2010 is the Last Year with Speed/RPM Analog gauges. Love my 2010.

@@amberh7098 good so far but i do have some problems with the back camera not working and an odd smell coming from the exhaust mayne the catalytic converter. who knows i just hope it keeps running well.
Can you open the fuel cap if the car is locked?
Just worked on the same exact Edge yesterday. Good that you always show whenever a car has a smart key system, but you make it seem so slow. Particularly on BMWs. The lock and unlock delay on this car, as with many, is pretty much instantaneous as soon as you touch whiter part you want. Just feels like you portray them as being delayed in your videos, but maybe that's just me.

I have one and I'm not please with it. It has a 1.4l engine with 80hp and it's way too little for the size and weight of the car....and it feels quite cheap the interior. How do you think the car will hold up and look after 10 years? I'm really concerned...It was NEW when i bought

(ended up watching 10+ videos, gathering valuable info for choosing my next vehicle) Realizing it varies with each car & I can look it up myself, the only criticism, would be to include pricing info. Other than that tho, ya got it covered! A picture may say a thousand words.. but a live video in this case, speaks volumes! Thx for saving me lots of research time!! =)

I'd just be wary because the Ford 3.5 has an internal water pump. Replacing it is an engine out job that costs thousands and if not caught in time, coolant will leak into the oil pan and destroy the engine. it's not guaranteed to happen and can the risk can be reduced with regular coolant changes but it's definitely something you wanna be aware of before making a purchase. @saabkyle04 after about 4:19 you called out the engine and fuel economy specs of the 2WD Explorer large utility. The Edge uses the same engine but is rated at 285hp/253tq. and 19 city/27hwy/22 combined for 2WD fuel economy. I don't mean to sound like a detail troll (lol), I'm a car nut so I just had to note that and give you a heads up. I love getting to see the in depth videos and look forward to new ones. BTW what is your opinion of the new Explorers compared to the older ones?

My dad almost bought a 2011 Ford Edge Sport but no Ford dealer within 300 miles had a blue one without the panoramic sunroof and the navigation system. He got a Toyota Venza. He liked the Edge a lot though.
@SubieSean No the key fob has to be within a certain distance from the car for it to unlock.
This is a nice car, I'm not going to lie to you. I have the same thing in 2013 version with black leather seats, 2 DVD players, and bug deflectors on front and doors. But this car was a little pricey for me 52k. 😁

@GrandPrixGTP02 I thought the wheel was tilting and telescoping? I tried it and you just pull down the lever and you can move it closer and father too. I found this out when I was cleaning it out lol.

@TheCarSpot yeah i figured that. i know panameras are NOT built cheaply. so i guess the camera amplified. it where ones eye might see one tenth of it. and the camera allowed us to see almost all of it

@SilentServiceCode I fully agree and share your concern, and not just because I'm at mid age. But seriously, although my adult life has been through the computer age, until recently this development has been hidden in car design, mainly under the hood. For example ECU and so forth. Nowadays however it not only intrudes at every aspect of driving, but it replaces timetested mechanical devices. Take doorlock and key for example. It worked in the coldest winter, even when the battery was dead.

@Liamcardtricks I tried that yesterday. The fob has to be about two feet from the door handle for the car to respond, unlike Chrysler's first attempts at touch entry which had a ridiculous, unsafe range.
