Taras you should get frame feeders. Better to keep an empty box off the top of your hives in the winter. It pushes the bees down. They find it harder to keep the top warm

Taras we use fondant to feed our bees in the winter. We put the fondant on top of the screen mesh below the lid. The heat from the hive will melt the fondant and it would slowly drip from the mesh forcingthe bees to eat it. I’ve noticed when we use the jar feeders that a lot of our bees drown.
