- Beekeepers are stewards of their bees, caring for thousands of these fascinating insects in every hive. Knowing if your bees are ready for winter and whether they may need some extra help is part of being a good beekeeper. We'll cover how and when to check your bees to know if they have enough honey to live through winter, and suggest numerous options for feeding solid food during cold weather when giving sugar syrup is not possible.

Very informative, thanks
Excellent information!
nice video!😁
It is important to point out bees can eat their way past some honey stores and leave some below. Depends on cluster size and random bee behavior. Opened one of my hives and found they had eaten their way up and a circle into my sugar bricks, but now the cluster wasn’t touching the bricks. I just pushed the bricks in and over the cluster. The food was there but the cluster wasn’t touching it.
Thank you
