    Hello, my brother
I assume this video was shot few weeks ago, because we didn't notice any rain in a while 😂
but anyways, I hope you are still in Egypt, because there is literally too much to do and see here.
I hope you have the chance to visit Fayoum, Aswan, Dahab, Siwa Oasis, Matrouh, Saqqara and many many more.
I know it might be challenging to discover a whole city without a guide, but most of the areas you visited we usually avoid to visit during daytime, Al-Moez street is totally fascinating at night, also Downtown and Tahrir square, it's very preferable to visit at night and not in day time, actually alot of people here love to visit Downtown at midnight and after midnight, it's the best time for many of us to visit this areas and have a guaranteed beautiful time with family, friends or alone..you cannot mess! :)
Also it's preferable if you had your Koshari inside Abu Tarik restaurent and not just have your meal takeaway, the chef would have made a beautiful show for you, also he will mix it for you while giving you a detailed demonstration on how to have the best fun eating your delicious Koshari
my last note will be regarding harassment, for sure the UN statistics are not accurate at all, of course harassment happens like any other country, but I guarantee to you if any individual dared to do this, he will have a 99% probability to be eaten alive by people in the street
anyways, I hope you have enjoyed/are enjoying your stay
the video was just uploaded 3 Hours ago so I think I have a better chance for getting my comment seen by you, also if you needed anything in Cairo I will be more than happy to help

Thanks for the comments and for watching! Yes the video was shot quite a few months ago now and we’re no longer there unfortunately! Thanks for the recommendations though, I’ve already filmed some of them: Saqqara is one of my next videos (Djoser’s pyramid is the world’s first large stone construction so I argue it might be more important than Giza!). Aswan I did in a previous video - check it out! And also the dining experience at Abu Tarik was in our last video - check that out too!
It’s interesting you mention visiting at night: the problem is it’s very difficult to film at night (even for experienced videographers). For the next trip we will have a better camera for this but yes I agree doing a whole series on Cairo and not filming anything at night is crazy 🤣 but I’m still learning! Egypt is only my second series!
Stay in touch and thanks again!
(Also, I always reply to my comments on UA-cam so don’t worry about that my friend!)

Interesting video. Very authentic and genuine. A little tip; invest in a microphone that can better capture your voice an reduce noise from the sorroundings.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed it! Yes we have a new camera AND audio for the next country. Jordan and Egypt were really just experimental series just to see if we could make anything good. Thanks again

    Hello again,
I hope you enjoyed your trip, just to explain few things you mentioned in the video 😅, the water that people spill on the road is to make it cooler & to make the air less dusty , the moez street area has alot of shisha & jewelry & other copper made things because just further down the road is where they make them , very old workshops & artisans that learned the craft from their ancestors. Happy to see that you explored some of the islamic sites in cairo maybe you can visit again & explore more of it , there are coptic sites also , plus cairo is huge & there are other many places to explore. Good luck on your next adventure. Salam 💐

Thank you for this comment, I was hoping someone would explain a few of these things! I love it when they throw the water on the street, it creates an atmosphere that is so unique to the area and I had no idea that the items in Moez were locally made! I want to explore Islam in much more detail in future. I thought the Al-Hakim Mosque was very peaceful (someone explained to me that it has specially designed acoustics to keep the sounds of Cairo out!). Shukran!

Thanks man! Yeah 1,000 subs… you saw in the video how much we get recognised now 🤣 Honestly the music in those taxis is a serious vibe 🤣 We’re off to Asia soon where we’ll be doing China, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam & Malaysia. But in order to travel so much (and not waste money on rent / mortgage whilst we're away) we just did a van conversion so we have to somewhere to live for free when we’re in our home country (Australia). It’s a bit different to our normal stuff but we thought people might enjoy it.

Awesome, well I think this video will give you a decent impression of Cairo (in as much as a 30 minutes can!). Cairo is quite different to other areas of Egypt so if you have time check out my Aswan video and some of my history ones etc :) Thanks!

Hope you enjoyed your trip just wanted to mentioned that Cairo is an ancient place and is not considered developed that’s why you will see old buildings and overpopulated areas and old streets but there are a wide variety of places you can visit like sharm elsheikh or Al Alamein or even Alexandria

    • @less-travelled
      @less-travelled  2 місяці тому +1

Yes but it was difficult to do it all or know where to go! I have already done A LOT more planning for the next country. Until we got back home from Egypt we had never seen a single one of our videos, so we had no idea how good they were - this was the most planning and research I was willing to do without knowing if I was wasting my time 🤣 Does that make sense? Thanks for watching!
