- Chad Doerman is now serving three life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murders of his three sons, Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3. Doerman had claimed he he was so mentally ill that he didn't know what he had done was wrong. But the prosecution team in Clermont County, Ohio laid out new details about the case that they believe contradict those claims. He will. If he was on death row he would likely have his own cell. Since he got life he will likely share a cell or be in general population *unless* they segregate him. My stepfather went to prison for child SA and he was in a special unit with other SA offenders. There were people who had redrum'd children who were in there for their safety, even if they had not SA'd them. Like people who ab@sed and redrum'd their kids.

I've used drugs and been up for days at a time where you see and hear things that aren't their.idk how this thought could even enter anyone's mind. He hated his wife more than he loved his children. He wanted her to suffer. He's disgusting.
He is a classic narcissist. A serious mental health disorder. Rather than feeling remorse or guilt, he actually felt empowered at the time that he crushed his wife’s heart and send her into lifetime of trauma. In his sick mind, he felt powerful and in control. This is what psychologists refer to as ‘ narcissistic supply’. However, this supply doesn’t last long so he will eventually be left to face his own demons (not out of regret for what his done) but rather once he enters a ‘narcissistic collapse’ he will have to deal with his true inauthentic self which is characterised by rage and shame. He doesn’t have a soul, just a deep dark hole behind the facade he created, True Narcissists are evil to the core.

I agree 100%!! They supposedly did it because the family didn't want all that made public. After what I read, I wouldn't either. His behavior had been a lifelong problem. He assaulted his own father! Everyone, including his wife, dismissed his behavior. So those poor innocent boys suffered because nobody stepped up to intervene. Offering a plea deal insurers that there will be no appeals to the case. He will remain in prison forever. And we don't have to pay to house him while he's waiting to die of natural causes on death row. Death penalty cases are extremely expensive for the state to prosecute not meant to mention all the Appeals. As of December 31, 2023, 119 people were on Ohio's death row with 121 death sentences. This is nine fewer people than 2022. On average, prisoners on death row in Ohio spend 21 years, or 7,805 days, before their execution. This number has been increasing each year. The average age of prisoners on death row is 55.5 years old, while the average age at the time of sentencing is 34 years old. Ohio has only executed 56 people in the last 50 years. What's sad is that you don't know more about your legal system.

If a man were to hit me or my children, I would leave immediately, even if it meant becoming homeless. I would never subject my potential kids to that environment again. One cannot continually make the same mistakes and still claim to be a victim. It's essential not to keep having children with an abuser or remain in an abusive relationship. Having children makes it significantly harder to leave, which is why it's vital to think smart and not succumb to the cycle of abuse. There is a fine line between being a victim and repeatedly bringing about one's own downfall. I feel deeply for her and acknowledge that in losing her babies, she is indeed a victim. However, if she had the chance to protect them, was aware of the abuser's true nature, and chose not to take action or leave, then she bears some responsibility. In that case, her inaction makes her complicit in the harm caused.

This didn’t happen overnight like people think. This was a toxic marriage. The neighbor said Chad treated his wife like garbage and constantly was yelling at his boys. Chad had some type of altercation with trying to harm his father previously. Chads wife wanted a divorce. He snapped but he planned this and it’s probably because of the wife and Chads relationship. I think it was more about him and his wife.
Not just that day. He’d been planning it for months. The neighbors stated that he was constantly yelling at and berating his family.
He thought she was going to leave him and take the boys, so he made sure that she would never get to have them. He wanted her to live with the loss. That is why he did not kill her.

Apparently she was going to leave him ,his attitude was getting to her ,,maybe because he was so unhappy with his life , he hated everything and everyone and he wanted out .if he had left them ,he would have maintenence payments etc ,everything that comes with a divorce ...so ,he decided to eliminate the only thing that his wife loved ...awful .he should not have been allowed a plea deal because to him he still manipulates the outcome ,and he has what he wanted ..no criminal should dictate their sentence ...

The 911 call made by the mother is bone chilling, the sheer terror in her voice broke my heart. One of the saddest cases I have followed. I pray for peace for the boys, the mother and sister. I hope Mr. Doerman is haunted by the screams of his wife and kids for the rest of his life behind bars.
He was not mentally ill. He knew exactly what he was doing when he did it. In my opinion he did it to hurt his wife and to make her suffer. He took something very dear to her but left her to live without them. What a POS

I was just about to comment this! Also he only seems to get emotional when his step daughter was talking about how she misses him and was grateful for the memories they shared, but when she talked about how heartbroken she was over the murder of her brothers there’s no reaction. It’s as if he only responds to parts of the statement that relate to him positively and ignores the suffering he caused. A true narcissist. He’s cold.

This report makes it sound like they didn’t have any problems in this relationship. The neighbors said he was angry all the time and yelled and screamed at his wife and kids constantly.

They looked like they would have been best friends growing up and doing all the fun outdoors boys stuff and playing baseball and fishing. the absolute joy of being a parent of healthy handsome and happy boys so close in age. He knew what he was going to do… he woke his stepdaughter up and said sorry for what he was about to do.. he acted ‘normal’ all day…. He wanted to hurt the Mum.. and he knew doing what he did.. would hurt and torment her for life! He should never be free!!!!

Likely saving surviving victims from a full trial. Probably don’t want to put the mom a step sister through more than what they’ve already endured

He was going for insanity and was coming to his psych eval. So prosecution didn't know if he'd be found unfit yo stand trial, and so in a game of chicken they made a plea deal, he accepted. He isn't insane he's a psychopath.
