The steering should feel looser.. the module you installed controls the VGRS (variable gear ratio steering) which essentially makes your car turn sharper and with less effort at slow speeds and at higher speeds the steering is less sensitive and doesn't utilize as much power steering assistance. The point of this is to let your car corner sharp and effortless while going slow, however let you feel the road much better and provide a stiffer, race car feel when driving at high speeds... changing the drive mode also effects the VGRS settings as well as the AVS setting (if your car is equipped with adaptive variable suspension). Gen2 Is350 and ISF. Gen3 is available on 250, 300, 200t, and 350 models, though different regions vary in packages offered on diff models.

...short answer, drive the car faster, the turning should become stiffer.. also try putting the car in sport or sport + mode... VGRS is a feature designed to help provide a better high speed track experience yet NOT make driving slow seem somewhat effortless. It changes your steering sensitivity based on factors like speed, rpms, and even gyroscopic based data... in its simplist form though, DrIVE slow steering feels loose... Drive fast and it feels stiff. Steering wheel turns tires further or less depending HOW you are driving.

Do I need techstream if I just get a new is350 ECU and not isf
Did you buy it new or used? You need to calibrate it if it’s a brand new ECU, but you don’t have to if it’s used.
I been trying to find one of those for a while. You know where I can track one down.
It’s very difficult to find one used but I can send you the link for a brand new one.

I have lexus is350 2006 RWD ( LEFT HAND DRIVE)
I installed this part today 89650-53030 lexus isf and the moment I started the car and rotated tghe steering it kept moving by itself without any stopping. I switched it off not sure why this happens. I appreciate your help
You’re welcome. To calibrate the ecu techstream will ask you to turn the steering wheel 90 degrees left then back to center and turn it 90 degrees right then go back to center, the steering wheel will vibrate for a few seconds and stop. Techstream will ask to click ok and inform you that your ecu has been calibrated. If you do anything wrong during that time, techstream will make you start it all over again until you get it right.

Rohan RFX11 brush bronze. I have them in black as well, I’m putting the black ones on soon.
At closer look.. the rohans are basically opposite of the HREs I mentioned... those connect the pillars around the lip in the wide pillar gaps and the HREs connect in around the lip in the close spaces between pillars... also Im pretty sure the HREs start smaller i. The center and the gap beteen pillars geta wider towards the edge. Near exact opposites... both styles are very clean.

It’s supposed to make the steering feel a lot more sportier
To be exact, its to adjust the amount of power steering assistance and how touchy your steering is based on how fast y I u are going(to say it simple). Yes though, it handles more like a sports car when driven fast, however it actually makes sharp turns with less effort when going slow. Thats why at a stop the steering felt super loose. Tesla uses a simular system, however the 2023 Model S plaids have such a drastic version of VGRS that they took out the steering wheel and put in a bow tie shaped 'yoke' that has a 170 degree max radius eliminating the need to ever release your grip... Lexus also has an upcoming model featuring a 'yoke' design as well.
...to be simple its a module that adjust the feel of your steering based on how you are driving the vehichle. (Made possible because of the 'fly by wire' style electric steering systems used. Though the yoke thing is a huge jump since previous teslas still turned up to 3 and a half revolutions, now its less than half a revolution, at its.. crazy. No more hand over hand. Saw it in person, was a strange sight but hey, at 1.6sec 0-60; I sure as heck wanna test drive a new S plaid... my buddy has an older one and it murders my 4is 350rwd.. wish I woulda just got the is500, actually an investment if you take care of it. N/A V8s are going extinct. :(
