Today, we remove the drivetrain from our wrecked Lexus IS-F, to get it ready for Tavarish's Lexus SC300. Unfortunately, there is a bit more damage than first thought. This is going to get dirty.

I almost bought an ISF about 6 months ago. Haven't seen another one for sale within 200 miles of my house since.
This one was hard to watch with the bickering. I like the laughs and fun, this one just seemed like lots of arguing between each other. I hope you two aren’t getting tired of each other, you both make things fun when it’s a good video
I love the ever guessing you do watching Jared methodically wrench about and Wondering when Tavarish will come in and work on a tiny spot and stand back at his work while Jared just trailblazing wrenches around him lol

We didn’t feel like there was tension, certainly didn’t mean for any! More working under a tight squeeze to get everything taken care of in time for Jared to get home!
I really like Jared he’s a cool guy but he’s very argumentative , Freddie lets the argument go every time to keep the peace.

I agree Jared as the str8 man, Freddy as the fool/lazy one. We know Freddy's not lazy but makes some bad choices, he bought a fake Bugatti. At least he doesn't play as dumb as Hoovie. Lotus was questionable, but if ya grew up in that era and liked the body styles or their pedigree for being expensive. If you're actually gonna bring the Lotus back to its glory days.
Jared seems to be more knowledgeable on the mechanical end and some of the fail points of certain things. Always willing to try new things. Just to bad Ms Rousy didn't work out.

Biggest bug bare with playlists, is when the newest videos go to the top and the play all is then a selection of prequels.

@Tavarish I got an idea for the IS-F body! As it’s not good enough for the road but in nice rust free condition, turn it into a caged drift missile/training car. Slap whatever engine you’ve got laying around, finish Earl and make a video on learning drifting
I give them another year doing videos together and that’s it
engine swaps have changed since i did one!! my last one was a 6 cylinder diesel volvo 245 that i put a 4 cylinder turbo gas engine into. 6 wires to the engine and one to the overdrive and one to the transmission!!
Next up, should be a military 6.2L Humvee build. Try and see what it would be like swapping turbo duramax into it.

Wheel spacers do not always increase scrub radius. It all depends where the center line of the wheel ends up in relation to the king pin.

That’s not where the starter is! It lives directly under the exhaust manifold

To the "race car conversions", here in Germany you can do to your car whatever you want as long as it never drives on a public road. For racing you have to stay inside the rules of the racing series. I know one Subaru BRX with a heavily modified Subaru SVX engine racing in the VLN endurance championship for example.
When you want to put a license plate on it and drive it in daily traffic, the car has to pass emissions with the regulations in force when it was first registered.
What would you think about an Audi A4 B5 converted to RS4 spec but with over 1000hp with cats and street legal? Yes, it has been done and the guy is redoing it at the moment after his old one burnt down. Or a street legal Golf Mk.V with 400hp running on CNG?
Thinking about the Subarus, 450hp WRX STI is doable, too.
