    My father captained the DC-8 for United Airlines out of LAX from 1966-1971, including the stretch DC-8 beginning in 1968 before moving on to captain of the DC-10 in 1971 and 747 in 1972.

    Growing up I flew as a passenger in so many DC-8s I can remember the smell of the cabin while watching this. I used to love this model so much. In turbulent air the wings would flap and the engines would swing from side to side, while the ride stayed nice and smooth inside.

    • @mohshehri
      @mohshehri 6 років тому +2

      Helium Road the ride is smooth but the engines are so noisy, I’ve never been in this plane but I remember one has crashed in the front of my eyes in saudia arabia - Jeddah more than 17 years ago
