Nice relaxing review, I have never had an electric watch before, we’re there issues getting batteries and charging them, if that’s what’s needed, or do you take them to the shops to get a battery?.
I don't know about the transistor or quartz versions. But the model 40 I picked up in a thrift store is not shockproof. If i repeatedly tap the side with my finger, I can make it lose time.
@@jeffreypetchharrison4363 I know. I used the wrong term too. Just saying modern quality mechalicals don't do that. If I sync it with a modern quartz and just sit it on the desk, it keeps perfect time with the quartz. If I wear it, it looses 1-2 minutes a day on my wrist.

it becuse you are affecting the coil on the balance wheel by tapping the watch it affects the swing ove the wheel ..j
