I remember this, there was a huge TL thread and everything too, this was so crystal clear when it was uploaded back in the day, I guess resolution is just so, so different. Time for Tasteless to do the idra history as well, back then estro accepted a lot of foreigners, idra being one of them. I hadn't followed the whole series but there was one with ret, too. Or we can go ton the early 2000s following grrr, he has really good Korean. Ah, good times, my childhood, great game too, still play it. Rock on.
The whispering makes it sound like PGA Tour commentary. Would like to hear more RTS casts done in that style, perhaps with birds and crowd roars sprinkled in as well
it's pretty wild to think how little footage we would have if artosis wasn't carrying a camera everywhere. he single handedly documented competitive starcraft
NoNy is a legend for that Courage run. I remember his games in the Team Liquid Starleague tournaments which were really fun to watch. SCForAll was a pretty short lived site if I recall, but I looked forward to seeing some of the stuff uploaded there too with Foreigners vs Pros or B Team guys. There still was a pretty big divide.
Yeah spacebar is inconsistent - better to use the JKL cluster, where J goes back a few seconds, K pauses/unpauses and L jumps forward a few seconds, feels very natural all round \m/
I remember watching this whole thing back in the day. Money was very strong and so close! He faced a very strong Terran and his late game PvT just wasn’t up to stuff back then
I loved this game as a kid even though i never really understood multiplayer. I was so hyped for sc2. I got a beta key in 2008 blizzcon and checked my email every day. Got good enough to hit diamond in 1v1 in wings of liberty. My brother and i were both huge incontrol fans. Loved to watch his evil geniuses videos. Really cool to see these old videos of you guys in the early days.
Imagine just having to have a license for something thats not dangerous to literally anyone. Idk how people could live in an asian country as a non-asian, those people are so backward, its like they're hard stuck in the 90s era but they just have better tech.
These are old numbers. Players have reportedly made 500000USD from a year of salary+tournament+bonuses. This doesn't include things like streaming, crypto, and investments.
Artosis was the man, getting all this footage back then.

Curious who won the tourney and what his career was like briefly as well. Good Vod, nostalgic.
The moral of the story is: 10-15 gate

This is really really cool. Even if just to hear artosis in full caster mode before he was even a caster
Artosis--“you are a hero to ***** people all over the world”. So canceled. 😆😂🤣
this absolutely ruled -- thought Nony was gonna end up takin it at the end !!

10:10 it is common thing , everytime i go to a local PC Bang people generally call each other their IGN especially when you're a long time customer 🤣
Great to watch, thanks!
the mythical golden days.
You looked like you were up to no good sneaking in to obs Nony's PvZ match, lol. You probably crashed weddings on the reg back then

"Not Korean tap water." Tasteless then drinks bottled water.
yes? that is the normal thing to do when the tapwater is bad
@@aniapersa3454I think the joke was most bottled water comes from municipal sources (tap water)
You’re looking great tasteless!

You ever go to Japan? Youre pretty on point, stuck in the 90s. Fax machines, cash only, cigarettes inside every bar/restaurant lmao.
Awesome video
Whats a salary for a pro gamer in Korea on one of these teams?
