Strawberries are classified as fruits, but they have a unique characteristic that sets them apart from other fruits like apples or bananas. In botanical terms, strawberries are considered "aggregate fruits." This means they form from a flower that has multiple ovaries which each produce a tiny fruit. These tiny fruits (known as "achenes") are actually what we often think of as the seeds on the outside of the strawberry. The fleshy, edible part of the strawberry that we commonly eat is not derived from the plant's ovaries but from the receptacle that holds the ovaries. So, in a strawberry, the part we eat is an enlarged part of the flower stem, while the actual fruits (the achenes) are what we commonly refer to as the "seeds" on the outside. This unique structure differentiates strawberries from many other fruits, which typically develop from the ovary of a flower and contain the seeds within. Despite these differences, strawberries are still categorized as fruits in both botanical and culinary contexts.
@LesOubliesQuebec well that's the point. The strawberry is one of those examples that contradicts the norm. But that is the nature of spectrum of things which exist in reality. Anything we look at scientifically there is a spectrum. Did you know there is another planet between mars and Jupiter inside the asteroid belt there? Yea it's a "miniature planet" so we don't count it as one of the main ones. Gender is a spectrum too. Uh oh! Here come the Republicans and their bibles to refute science. Everything is a spectrum.
I am confused on this argument about Serral. I remember in 2013-2016 before Serral started winning tournaments Scarlett, Suppy and a bunch of foreign players always would say that Serral was the ladder hidden boss but he struggled a lot in tournaments which was why he had no success. For Serral his success was not based on foreigner vs Korean, he was always capable but had a mental block that he had to overcome. Saying Serral wouldn't be where he is if they hadn't region locked makes no sense to me. Without players "better" than him, Serral became the best player in the world and in the running for GOAT convo. He shows up to every international tournament and beats the Koreans. He is a 2x world champion without the "better" players to practice against. I would argue that is more impressive than Life playing against top competition his whole life. There is a reason, for example, that Bobby Fisher's chess world championship is so celebrated- because he did it as an American, a country without a strong chess culture or strong players. Bobby had to figure shit out all on his own without top practice partners.
@@88kiki73 they are not weak now, but back then they were considered very weak. When Bobby won the idea an American player could win the world championship was laughable especially given how good the Soviets were.
@@HappyTofu2424 *Fischer I'm a chess guy who just happened to check this video. In chess, regions without strong players rarely produce any compared to places where the culture is stronger. And also, women are sort of effectively "region-locked" since there's a separate scene available for them to play in women's only divisions within tournaments, and most women stick to those since the prizes are easier to win. It's supposed to foster more women getting into competitive chess, but it's an open question whether it also holds them back. Hard to know, really. Interesting to me that Artosis is so confident about what effect region-locking has.

Knowing things and doing things (knowledge and practice) require different (yes, overlapping but the same) skill set. Some very stupid (like below 60 IQ) people can reach increadable results in a lot of championships if they have other properties good enough for practicing and mastering. And the other way around: You may know clearly how to break enemy, but your hands are not quick and accurate enough, your memory loses ticks of reminders (move your SCVs, make a round of ordering units), and you lose. Starcraft requires both, and the current level of quality of person's memory, knowledge, hands, focus, etc leads to victory. It applies to all competitions, but each property has different weight on the result. Sometimes intelligence has so minor impact, that a person can be a monkey... On the other hand, intelligence helps to practice better and improve quicker other skills, but it is different story.

The difference is culinary vs botanical definitions. Tomatoes are a vegetable in culinary terms, which is what matters in practical application, especially in the scope of that discussion. But artosis loves to be a condescending snob, despite him belittling someone else for trying to be “technically correct”, that was exactly what he was doing.
Food for thought. If this was some 2nd rate player i think people would never forgive a scammer. But flash is do fucking talented people would look past it. Do morals apply differently to people with skill?
For the discussion at the beginning, vegetables don’t actually exist. From a scientific perspective they’re not actually a thing, they’re just what everyone defines as a vegetable. Because there’s no vegetable portion of a plant. It’s either the root, leaves, or fruit.
Fruits and vegetables are classified differently based on their botanical makeup. Fruits are the mature ovary of a seed plant, usually developed from a flower, and contain seeds that further the reproductive cycle. Vegetables, on the other hand, are the edible parts of a plant, such as leaves, stems, bulbs, and roots, and do not necessarily have a role in the plant's reproductive cycle. good guess though. too bad for you search engines exist and anyone can check your claim in 2 seconds.
The video is titled "Why Bisu is back and Flash is not", but you only really talk about why Bisu is back (amongst other things), but not much about Flash. So why isn't Flash back? Too big blow-back from the crypto scandal? Didn't want to apologize? Hasn't yet gotten his skill back to where he wants it to be? Something else? A mix?
Any time someone brings up the scientific definition of "fruit" in a discussion about fruits vs. vegetables, you can completely dismantle any argument they have by bringing up that there is no scientific definition of "vegetable". Vegetable is strictly a culinary term. We use it to describe how a food is used in the context of cooking/eating/etc. A scientific "fruit" can still be a vegetable - because there is no scientific "vegetable". So next time some nerd gives you a dumb "well actually" about fruit, just ask them for the scientific definition of vegetable. That said, whoever said fruit has no place on pizza is dumb - because pineapple on pizza slaps.
There is a difference between scientific language and everyday language. Botanically vegetables do not exist and basically everything is a fruit or root. But that isn't helpful in day to day conversation. Tomatoes are vegetables. Period.

Does Arty ever shit on players known for being BM? Obviously ladder queueing into Shinee (sp?) or 9drone is one thing, but when he casts their games does any of that personal stuff get mentioned? Or does he even cast them
Very little of what Artosis says here makes strong logical sense, and the whole discussion of who is a genius and who isn't is incredibly subjective - people will just form their opinions around their own assumptions and biases and Artosis is obviously very BW biased due to that being his favourite game of all time. That's fine, but it is a little annoying how he presents such subjective opinions as fact and calls people who disagree idiots etc. even though I know that's just Artosis being Artosis. For instance you could make a stronger logical argument that the fact Serral was able to become the strongest player in the world whilst having zero top-level (i.e. Korean at the time) practice partners is arguably one of the greatest accomplishments in Starcraft, and as or more impressive than Life who joined Zenex at 14 and had a professional Korean team environment and top level practice partners to practice against from a very young age. Serral did it on his own, and it could be argued that that is 'genius' in its own way (tbf by my own subjective standards I wouldn't call any starcraft player 'genius', and would reseve that for the likes of Newton, Einsten, Galileo, da Vinci etc.). I think Artosis claiming Serral wouldn't be as good if the Koreans were around is nonsensical: It's like someone in Africa becoming the best BW player and then Arty says they only did it because they didn't have to compete against the best Koreans - ...what? That's clearly a more impressive accomplishment that is much harder to do, not easier. Ultimately he still had to face and beat all the top Koreans anyway; all the biggest international tournaments with the biggest prize-pools included the top Koreans, it was only a small percentage that didn't. Again though, the argument is highly subjective anyway, and you could make a strong case for basically any top level player being a 'genius' for different reasons. I love Life but if you look back at the era he played in you quickly realise the memories you have of the plays were through rose-tinted glasses, and the level of play at the time was very low compared to modern standards. I just looked at two highlight games of Life's best plays/series that I had also watched at the time, and one was vs Maru where maru let him ling runby by leaving his nat depot down and then just didn't repond, and let him even run up past his main depot as well and clear out his mineral line. The second was vs Flash with the same issue, and Flash didn't even attempt to pull his scv's; he just lets Life clear out his entire mineral line for free, zero response for 10+ seconds. By modern standards a lot of diamond level players would do better; I know it's not fair to compare different eras but even so these weren't the incredible 'genius' ling plays I had remembered in my head from watching the same games back at the time. He still has a special place in my heart though and at the time I remember thinking he was some kind of awesome prodigy or something. Life pushed the bar higher and helped make it what it is today but SC2 was still in its infancy back then and the skill-ceiling wasn't close to the level it is at today. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I looked into it when it was new and it seemed like people were unfairly attributing scamminess to him.
The scamminess comes from flash investing in the currency when it's dirt poor, not reveal this, then being paid to promote it in a way that could be construed as a "pump and dump" making a profit off his viewers getting the short end.

Why doesn't savior come back. If bisu and flash can immediately. It's ridiculous that savior hasn't come back.
Man, there was not a Zerg I loved watching more than Savior. His games told a story.
He tried to come back many times
what savior did is 10000000000x worse. he destroyed an entire industry
Flash didn’t even do anything wrong, as far as I know. People say he was involved in a crypto scam, but he literally wasn’t involved at all besides putting some money down or something.
@@fromryuk7785yeah if he was getting paid to promote it that's basically GG from an ethical standpoint
@fromryuk7785 yea a classic talking about some crypto thing to get viewers to buy it cos the company gave u money or crypto. Totally the usual hype it up. Make money off ppl as u sell them the crypto that becomes worthless
@@fromryuk7785 but he never promoted it. You would be correct if he promoted it, but as far as I know he never did. Can you point me to a source that shows that Flash promoted the coin?
better than boxer? lol, now i laughed man lol
saying that Serral became a champion because of a region lock is one of the dumbest takes of all time by artosis.. you become better when you face toughter competition not by playing easier ones like the early region lock days..his talent and hard work put him above anybody else for a long stretch regardless of where he played.
true true
did he say that, though? i think that he just said that life instantly going to king-of-the-japs is particularly impressive, and requires unique talent
I'd say it's probably more of a middle ground. Jumping into a match vs a Korean pro wouldn't give you much time to try out different builds to come up with your own as often; you'd be more likely to emulate what they do if they're constantly beating you.
Things that you know nothing about:
1. StarCraft
2. StarCraft 2
3. How to improve at anything
Congrats!

First.
Imagine believing in crypto 😂
Misleading vid title. Boo.
Artosis is about as qualified to talk about whether or not someone is a gaming "genius" as Trump was qualified to talk about vaccinations.
