@@waldek7772 The IPM1 / M1A1 used to be really busted at 10.3. They were good in 10.7. At 11.0,. they're fine, but now it faces T-90Ms, and STRV 112Bs like there's no tomorrow, and they both really suck against them. The Stryker is decent but honestly nothing special (especially because you can't utilize your crewless turret like the AGS can due to poor gun depression and tall stature). The 7.5s reload really brings it down too. The Bradley was really good at 9.3, but at 10.0, it's kinda gimicky. I would only say it's really good if it has somewhere to be hull-down in. Even then, the TOW-2Bs rarely one-shot, meaning you'd likely only get 6 kills at most. The TOW-2As might be more enticing to use, since at least they have a greater chance of one-shotting (from my experience).

I completely agree with you man, I have been playing US top tier for 3 years now and its been awful only. Literally being my home country I want it to be competitive as well but fkin Gaijin makes it so miserable to play US. It took me a year and a half to grind Israel and I grinded to top tier just for it to he same as playing US top tier, missing armor, rounds etc. I don’t even touch this game anymore because of this issue. Even mid tier sucks now which I use to main for Israel cuz top tier is garbage. I don’t wanna play other countries just because they’re better in game fuck that. I wanna play nations I like and have their tanks be as good if not better than their counter parts.
I recommend using another sight or reticle. By finding one on the workshop.. clears up a lot of the clutter and makes your shot a lot more accurate and less of a guessing game. A lot of those long range shots missed because the sight is too cluttered
the only time id say to keep the default aiming mark is when you dont have the Laser range finder, it can be hard to estimate the range with modern sights that dont have range markings on the graticule
its bad for everyone rn. Kinetic damage is below the floor, nothing oneshots, and barrels simply dont break as a result of increase ricochet chance for no reason. yeah pretty broken rank6-8 rn
Haven't played top tier tanks in a long time(like 3 months) and today decided to start grinding the new Abrams. Played like 10 matches. Done. I'm not coming back to top tier US(and maybe top tier ground in general), it's absolutely unplayable. My shots either don't pen(mostly against the new Leo's and STRVs as well as Russian tanks) or pen and don't do shit bcuz of the spall liners and in that situation they just turn their turret like nothing happened and do some random ass shot and I'm done
When you say that abrams is bad, war thunder community will respond with "skill issue", but when you say that abrams is superior they will instantly defend russian vehicles lmao and say that they're better in *some* aspects

Pretty sad that top tier US has been ruined and it's gonna take quite some time before it gets to somewhat normal, I think ground vehicle should get a br raise to 12.0 and even 12.3, that would help mitigate the problem a bit but squadron vehicles and premiums should stay where they are.

It doesn't really matter if they add the SEPv3 or the missing DU to the armor. The main issue with the Abrams is the awful turret design exposing the ring and cannon breach combo of weakspots, together with the super thin UFP. Afaik those areas were never upgraded nor had composites, so... in terms of armor I don't believe USA will ever shine again at top tier. It's all about Sweden and Russia right now.

Idk if it will make the lower plate immune even with DU inserts cuz the lower plate armor composition is less than the turret and is less thick. At best, it'll probably make it immune to lesser rounds like 3BM42 and DM33. But yeah I totally agree that they should add M828A3

The abrams has been nerfed so much or power krept so much since it came out its not even funny. When the m1 came out it was so op and hard to kill, and it could pen anything. Survivable was amazing aswell. Now its shell barely spalls, can barely penetrate other top tier vehicles reliability, and is a one shot 70% of the time. Look at the armor in the armor analysis and frontally almkst the entire tank is penable besides the cheeks. Hstvl is all i play now, my goal is to play cas in rb bc its more fun than air rb, but i can never spawn a good loadout in an abrams anymore. Hstvl atleast can scout my way to full f16 or f15 loadout

The values in the game are the same as the original Abrams and do not reflect the true values. The weight of the vehicle has increased with each upgrade but gaijin says the armor stays the same. It’s common knowledge that the Abrams has DU inserts and spall lining for the hull and turret.

they nerfed the new Abrams side turret armor and gave none of the other Abrams spall liners. (Italy, Japan, France and Israel didn't get spall liners)

What did they promised? review the armor? give spall liners from IPM1+? Phase out shells that weren't used on tanks? Give proper rounds for the timeline the tank/package upgrade was introduced?

But currently the Abrams is just unplayable because the armour is just shit, most top tier apfsds rounds can even pen some parts of the turret cheeks, it's really infuriating especially because the tanks that did not have problems with armour are the tanks that are getting armour upgrades

1:35 is just how straight up blatantly OP Russian tanks are. A shot to the side and it does nothing to it while the Abram’s keeps getting one-shotted from the front.
The video poster has another video about him playing T90M, and it really just shows how a same set of skill level can be reflected so differently on two massively unbalanced tanks.

The abrams has been nerfed so much or power krept so much since it came out its not even funny. When the m1 came out it was so op and hard to kill, and it could pen anything. Survivable was amazing aswell. Now its shell barely spalls, can barely penetrate other top tier vehicles reliability, and is a one shot 70% of the time. Look at the armor in the armor analysis and frontally almkst the entire tank is penable besides the cheeks. Hstvl is all i play now, my goal is to play cas in rb bc its more fun than air rb, but i can never spawn a good loadout in an abrams anymore. Hstvl atleast can scout my way to full f16 or f15 loadout

The values in the game are the same as the original Abrams and do not reflect the true values. The weight of the vehicle has increased with each upgrade but gaijin says the armor stays the same. It’s common knowledge that the Abrams has DU inserts and spall lining for the hull and turret.
