At what point did you realize he had been sitting on that pitch? Did you realize it immediately after the pitch was hit? Did you realize it when you watched the video that night? Do you analyze hitters' tells and body language and use that information to see what to look for the next time you face an elite hitter?
His teammates says that he has an elite eye for pitchers and can pick up the rotation. When you’re that good, you can sit on slower stuff. Since he’s out of his prime, it’s easier for him to crush a hanging breaking ball than it is to catch up to a good fastball, but in his prime he could hit any pitch just about anywhere he wanted to.

You’ve got really good stuff. One day you will put it all together and have a Cy Young year one of these seasons. You remind me of a young David Cone, despite having different a delivery and different stuff. He was also an extremely aggressive pitcher who liked to pitch inside.
