@@arcadedmc everyone has struggles. You get to watch him under a microscope every day if you choose. I bet you'd rage out under all that money and pressure a few times too. Gtfoh
Incredible, being a pitcher, how aware of batting mechanics and body language Bauer is. This goes beyond 'he was early/late', this is analyzing the sequencing of the swing. Truly a genius.
If pitching was my career I would want to know everything to. Some guys who are top prospects never get to be as good as Bauer because they don't put this time in to learn how to decipher what a batter is doing, they only know themselves and what usually works. Top prospects usually only see the same college batters a hand full of times a year which gives them the advantage, where if you are facing the same players in your division at the mlb. They will learn your tendencies. You gotta go the extra mile like Bauer. Few get by on pure stuff alone.
Trevor, there’s no need to pitch to him anymore! The answer is just go be on the same team and then you never have to deal with his bat any longer! Come back home and be a *DODGER*
Excellent. I was expecting to see comments full of "well, I'd have done this or that" or "Mookie's easy to get out just by doing such and such..."! Nope, comments full of Baseball fans. Love it!
Trevor, why are you so honest? You are literally favoring the other side sometimes but it’s just straight up honesty. You don’t see many people this honest. Thank you Trevor!
Great analyzation Trevor. This is why I love to watch you pitch. You're a thinking pitcher more than others like a Greg Maddux. Wish you came to the Dodgers. Also you're a class act and down to earth. Much respect to you. Win the cy young and era crown this year
its great seeing a current big leaguer break the game down to such detail. nothing else like it out there really. congrats on getting a sub from this dirty cubs fan ;)
Trevor, that is next level... Awesome video, please keep posting.. these are great! All of your content is great, I'm a Dodger fan, but more importantly, I'm a baseball fan. Very much appreciate your effort into this content for us junkies!
Agree! I'm a Royals fan but most importantly, a baseball fan. I'm not a player but am addicted to his breakdowns. I love learning how he decides to work each batter and count. Great job, Trev!
Dude this is awesome stuff man. Using your page and break downs like this is so important for the younger players who are hungry to get better. Thanks for being the dopest guy in baseball 😎⚾️
This is awesome stuff. You should review an at-bat against Whit Merrifield on July 2, 2019. That game you threw over 100 pitches and ended up in a full count with Whit in the 7th inning. Thought that would be interesting
As a lifelong Blue Jay's fan I was conditioned to think Trevor Bauer was a goof after the playoffs drone finger-trimming incident.... But I was wrong. This is a wonderful and insightful breakdown, and I have been watching all of Trevor's youtube content lately. Great stuff - and great advocacy for baseball in general.
Thanks Trevor this series is great. As someone who didn’t grow up with baseball these are super informative and expand my enjoyment. Been looking for material like this for so long.
Thanks for these, I really enjoy this kind of breakdown. It really helps when talking to a younger pitcher about how to attack hitters when they can see a pro breaking things down and being honest about what they are trying to do versus what the outcome of the pitch was
Where was this all my life? Oh... it didn't exist yet. Thank you Mr. Bauer. The insider insight, the intelligence, the frank analysis using oneself as an example... delicious.
Yes and no. It seems like most breakdowns are rushed. Trevor seems to want to explain it and make sure the viewers are seeing it too. I would love to see more of this by him
I think that if the mlb and the court of social media get their way and stop Trevor’s pitching career he’ll have a good future as a pitching coach. He is eloquent and very good at making the point he’s putting across. 👍🏼
Good stuff and you're only getting better. Probably the most in depth and honest at bat analysis I've ever seen. Would love if you could maybe bring in a teammate one time to discuss one of their experiences... Maybe a certain Tennessee native??
Really upper-level breakdown of pitch sequencing. You should touch a little bit on tunneling and hitter’s abilities to make adjustments based off your tunnel. I think that would help some viewers. For ex: it’s always easier for guys to make swing plane adjustments down rather than up. Anyways, really educational breakdown and content. Thanks!
Can you break down a Mike Trout at bat please. I love the detail you go into and how you never talk bad about a hitter you just look at what you’re approach vs there approach and what you could’ve did better vs what they did good or should’ve did as well
This was very informative Trevor. I appreciate this channel. Play until your 40 and play for the white sox because this type of knowledge doesn't exist with them. You would be a great influence to Lucas Giolito, Michael Kopech and Dylan Cease as the vintage millennial guy.
For anyone wondering, in the regular season Mookie is 4 for 13 (.308) against Bauer with 3 doubles and a homer-but he's also struck out 5 times. That's a 38.5% strikeout rate, which is Mookie's highest K% against any pitcher he's faced at least 10 times. In conclusion, Libya is a land of contrasts
I was wondering if you could include velocity, or mention how much it may make a difference in any given at-bat you break down. I know opinions sometimes vary on how important velocity is and/or if it's more important to the hitter than the pitcher, but it's something I'm interested to hear. Love the channel, keep up the good work.
Saw normacdibald interviewing you on UA-cam After the interview he said we could take apart the other pitching trees The young ball guy took apart the little biceps rack and moved the pieces outside under and under a bridge He works really hard
Would be really cool if you could do one on a call with one of the batters you are facing in these vids if they are okay with it and have both of you breaking down your thoughts from both sides
Love your videos Trevor! Please can you edit them a tiny bit as you get better with the pen on the screen? You repeat yourself a few times but mostly its just awesome!
You need to consider the angle of the camera from center. The strike zone should in toward Mookie more. No? It jus looks off too. Unless you're looking at where the umpire is standing.
I love how Trevor never makes any player look bad. Respect to the batter, admitting when he gets lucky. Love this.
Bbeaucha88 agreed he’s probably the most honest player in the mlb which is cool to see players talk about their livelihood
But he has huge rage issues
He isn’t even a top 10 pitcher in baseball
@@arcadedmc everyone has struggles. You get to watch him under a microscope every day if you choose. I bet you'd rage out under all that money and pressure a few times too. Gtfoh
He has the potential to be top 10, don't know if he will realize that talent.
Let's see a breakdown of you throwing the ball over center field lmao
I wanna hear what he was thinking that whole inning lol
...or how to yell at teenagers on twitter 😂
Cat playing guitar On a Guitar coming from tree would be better
This series is such a good idea it’s so fun to see thought process and evaluation

This age perfectly
Damn he must’ve read this and made his decision 🥴😂
Great breakdown Trevor. And now you guys are teammates!
My God dude since you’ve started making videos I’ve gained so much respect for you. Honestly nothing but respect for Trevor Bauer.
Excellent. I was expecting to see comments full of "well, I'd have done this or that" or "Mookie's easy to get out just by doing such and such..."! Nope, comments full of Baseball fans. Love it!

@Thwixit wonder if they’re associated with astronauts...

Wow. You went 3 for 3. Dodgers. Cy Young. Era title. Go to Las Vegas. No. Invest in the stock market and tell me your picks.
@@alexanderhamilton8585 I forgot about that post lol. He did exactly what I told him to lol
As a hitter I learned something in this video from watching mookie and listening to Trevor
Watching this after seeing Mookie GO OFF on The Dodgers. So cool to see why
U need to do Max Kepler next🤣. Loving the vids
going to be live tonight 7pm central time. will ask him multiple times if i can before i get a response.
darin clouse acting like your on mission chill bruh
Trevor ist best, max kepler is bester!
Kepler is the man!
This is amazing. Never before have we had anything like this commentary and frame by frame analysis DURING a player's career. Thank you dude!!
It’s gonna be guys like you that helps this sport go to a higher level. If that’s even possible. Awesome vid dude !
A Brit here (new-ish to baseball): I got you and Mookie together in free agency on MLB The Show 20 and took the Mariners to 2 WS in 4 years
I love how Bauer pitches. And plays. Pitchers are different breed. Bauer toes the rubber every time he can. Imagine if his team scores 1 one
its great seeing a current big leaguer break the game down to such detail. nothing else like it out there really. congrats on getting a sub from this dirty cubs fan ;)
Trev had a little league strike zone up there at first
This is my fav series, I like the in depth detail you share and how you attack the hitters. I think it will help when I pitch and others
Yes this is great stuff from Trevor. He works HARD on his craft. Much respect.
You are awesome for doing these videos. Content like this doesn’t exist else where.
Trevor, that is next level... Awesome video, please keep posting.. these are great! All of your content is great, I'm a Dodger fan, but more importantly, I'm a baseball fan. Very much appreciate your effort into this content for us junkies!

Trevor- Another terrific episode and breakdown for both pitchers and hitters. Thank you once again for the providing the Great content!
this is such a great idea! so many different pitcher/batter combos that i would love to see get broken down and analyzed!
Dude this is awesome stuff man. Using your page and break downs like this is so important for the younger players who are hungry to get better. Thanks for being the dopest guy in baseball 😎⚾️

Wish I had this when I pitched. Thanks man. Can’t wait to watch you pitch in the regular season. You made me a fan of yours!
Where was this all my life? Oh... it didn't exist yet. Thank you Mr. Bauer. The insider insight, the intelligence, the frank analysis using oneself as an example... delicious.
Kinda looks funny, Trevor wearing that tshirt as a Pitcher Lol
Trever would be great MLB network person breaking down plays
Yes and no. It seems like most breakdowns are rushed. Trevor seems to want to explain it and make sure the viewers are seeing it too. I would love to see more of this by him
As a pitcher this is a awesome channel to learn and throughly think through situations thanks Trevor !!!
Now we need Mookie to sit down with you to speak on what he was thinking during the at bat!
Awesome idea!
Mookie was probably thinking "man I'm a freaking beast"
Pls keep this type of content coming! Love it
Morale of the story is never play in the same league as betts
Great content!
TBH I prefer videos like this, to classic games where I already know the outcome. Learning so much from Trevor!
4:42 the voice crack lol
I think that if the mlb and the court of social media get their way and stop Trevor’s pitching career he’ll have a good future as a pitching coach. He is eloquent and very good at making the point he’s putting across. 👍🏼
Trevor excellent man! Way to respect everyone in this analysis.
Honestly became a fan since the Astro interviews . You’re awesome bro
wow this man LOVES the game. more than just a job to him. this is so great for the youngsters, just sub'ed
Thanks for being honest about mistakes and showing how to analyze those mistakes
bro, i love you. i hope more players do this
Giving baseball fans the kind of insight we've always craved! You da man, Trveor.
And now their teammates.
Trevor the shit you do for baseball is amazing dude. Thank you. And I hope you come to the angels one day. Thank you man
Trevor Bauer is everything we need in baseball. NGL the day he retires is the day modern day baseball die. truley gonna be an end of an era moment
It’s great that you remember these at bats so well
These are my favorite videos that you make
I like how you're praising Mookie for being on time on that cutter where he was effectivelly dead late ;-) way to compete Trev :-)
Great video 🔥 thanks for helping the mlb community 🐐
great stuff trevor. thanks for sharing your POV and insight. great stuff. easy sub. looking forward to seeing more
Good stuff and you're only getting better. Probably the most in depth and honest at bat analysis I've ever seen. Would love if you could maybe bring in a teammate one time to discuss one of their experiences... Maybe a certain Tennessee native??
These are great videos. I coach younger pitchers and this helps a lot. Thank you.
Nice breakdown! Learned a lot as a fan
If you CAN'T beat the best... Join the best... LA 💙 Dodgers ⚾
I love this it's so informative for me being a college pitcher and understanding my craft better
Great video more of these please and thank you.
I was Laughing when Trevor had said Mookie was Hunting for a specific Pitch to Hit😄that Shit was Funny🔥✅
I love the way your mind thinks... super analytical. Reminds me of me, for sure

The only guy keeping baseball alive.
Trevor is the best person for baseball
Love this type of stuff
Luv the media content tb
great videos. I would love to have guest pitchers or guest batters analyze other key at bats along with you.
Keep going Trev! Loving it
Teammates

Mookie drops a bomb to left on an outside slider lol. That's what makes a MLB player different
You sharing all your knowledge and thought process behind each pitch is priceless. My sons are so excited to learn!! A big thank you!! 🙏
If things don't work out in Cincy, come to the Mets. I think the Reds will have a big year, whenever the season starts.
At 16:00 that looks like a tennis open stance forehand with full load on back leg.
mookie is my fave player so this will be fun to watch lol
Hey Trevor Bauer I think a great video to analyze could be the at bat vs Kris Bryant in the 2016 World Series game 5
Ouch.
It will be interesting to see how Mookie does against Trevor now that Trevor has put his entire game plan out on him.
Saw normacdibald interviewing you on UA-cam
After the interview he said we could take apart the other pitching trees
The young ball guy took apart the little biceps rack and moved the pieces outside under and under a bridge
He works really hard
Did Mookie appreciate the breakdown ?? Awesome -- thanks
Wish these videos were around when I was a kid, learning to play
This is as good of a hitting video as it is a pitching video!
Can you do a breakdown from an AB from your rookie year? It would be cool to see what differences you notice from the past compared to now.
Fuuu, I loved this!
Man I wish I had access to these videos when I was a kid when I was pitching.
Would be really cool if you could do one on a call with one of the batters you are facing in these vids if they are okay with it and have both of you breaking down your thoughts from both sides
I want to see the at-bat coming where he throws this inside fastball to Mookie cause Mook hits beams on inside fastballs lol
Love your videos Trevor 👍🏼
I don't like how any ball over the belt just doesn't get called in the mlb. Those pitches are the most hittable pitches of all.
Love your videos Trevor! Please can you edit them a tiny bit as you get better with the pen on the screen? You repeat yourself a few times but mostly its just awesome!
Pretty pumped Trevor will not be spending anytime in the regular or postseason trying to get Mookie Betts out for a couple of years!
Can't wait for the Max Kepler special
Love this breakdown. Would love something involving a discussion of facing lefties.
You need to consider the angle of the camera from center. The strike zone should in toward Mookie more. No? It jus looks off too. Unless you're looking at where the umpire is standing.
