MK 11 actually got a patch awhile back that lowers the required fatality's to 25 instead of 50, along with a counter to tell you how close you are to getting the charters head. Making much much easier to get to the throne room
The first one WAS actually insanely easy. For around 1-2 weeks, a bug was discovered where, in 30 mins you could get all the heads, without needing their requirements to have been met. So most just cheesed them
The secret room in Halo Reach was defiantly a great way for Bungie to show the fans how much they cared about the series as much as the fans did and how they impacted the series

This is precisely the comment I was looking for. In a couple of Gameranx list videos I felt like they should have mentioned Bloodborne but they didn't. That plus the pronunciation of "Gehrman" in this video leads me to believe that no one in the Gameranx office has really sunk their teeth into Bloodborne. Honestly, it's kinda tragic if that's the case as Bloodborne is easily one of the most well crafted video games of all time.

The dying light pyza suit can be rebuilt and stacked up to 10 times. they never degrade or anything but each one added to the stack increases the range and at 10 you can actually glide pretty well and makes it usable in combat

Just watched this on my TV, and Dying Light's Super Mario room reminds me of Need for Speed Most Wanted on Wii U. The game had a few Mario-inspired pipes, when you drive on it, you press down and it takes you to a room with one of three cars. One car was called "The Plumber," another was called "The Princess," and the third was called "The Dinosaur." Nice nod to Mario, Peach, and Yoshi, and it was only in the Wii U version of the game.
There were secret parts of the forest in secret of evermore. A character with dialogue, a unique spell only found there. Found it a few times in my many playthroughs.
So here's a funny thing about that birthday skull in Doom. That's a humongous play on Halo's Headhunter skull easter egg which changes the game so that every time you get a headshot on a Grunt, confetti pops out and a bunch of kids scream in joy. Actually kinda funny they poked fun at the other first person shooter Doom was competing against.
One of the things I really like about MK11 is that they used the likeness of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa for Shang Tsung. It’s a great nod the the films where he played that role. To me, Tagawa pretty much is the definitive Shang Tsung.
Cannot describe how bummed I was about fallout 76. Fallout 4 literally got me through not wanting to put a bullet in my face. I was so depressed, and my best friend bought me the game to cheer me up. I got it in the mail from him, I was like wtf is this shit. But after reading his letter I gave it a try. That game made me so relaxed for some reason and I just couldn't put it down. It gave me a reason to do something, and I know that sounds dumb but the building settlements, connecting people, the walking in desolation. It just made me think about alot of things. When I heard about fallout 76 I was excited I pre ordered. And then I just got a big mess. Either way thanks Bethesda for the help on Fallout 4!! Im two achievements from platinum, beat all the DLC's thanks for the help SERIOUSLY!!!! I don't care who reads this, man that felt good.

I missed the early mk11 krypt head glitch just by a day. It made me mad and i actually grinded for all the heads the legit way. It took about 3 weeks, but looking at it now it was actually the most grinding I've ever did in an mk game so im quite proud!!!

If you were going to do a secret place from bloodborne, you should've chosen the literal black empty pit that when you walk far enough, you'll find the Brain of Mensis. Man, I wish Bethesda had just made Fallout 76 a single player game. I finally played Fallout 4 a few months ago and absolutely loved it. I actually bought Fallout 76 without even realizing what it actually was. I had of course seen a lot of people roasting the game in reviews and stuff but I guess I figured “surely it isn’t a total disaster. If it’s even half as good as Fallout 4, I want to play it.” When I first started the game, I was hyped because it looked really good compared to Fallout 4. Essentially, right after leaving the vault, I realized it was an online only game and I returned it because I’m just not interested in that type of game. I really hope we get a good single player Fallout campaign soon.

Did anyone else do the severed head glitch in MK11 where you just hold the A/X button and walk up to a head stand? I “unlocked” all the heads in like six minutes.
Best secret room in recent memory is not just a room , but a whole quest. Destiny 2s zero hour mission. I consider it fitting because there are no hints in the game that the quest exists. Same goes for the Whisper mission. Zero hints were given till it was discovered by someone randomly. Both levels rewarding great guns. Love them!
Niobe's Torment, having to shoot specific symbols with specific guns while standing in specific places for 7 rounds. Last round of course having to shoot blindly with elemental weapons. Your hints? Obscure 12th century French, Swedish, and Japanese literature.
My favorite secret room is The Infinite Abyss in AC Unity. When you jump off a building you can get into this room. The only problem is it is not explorable. You will stuck in the air for some moments then die. Still a pretty cool Easter egg though. 👍
Another cool Dying Light room would be the Plants Vs. Zombies room. To get to it, you have to go to the area with the giant antenna tower, and you have to go to eastern-southeastern part of the area. The easiest way to get there is via zipline from the tower. While there, it's kinda like a valley, and at the end there's a large drop into a cave. You have to go around the cave, and climp the cliffs, and there will be an orange flower. Interact with it, and there'll be a kinda small room with a building, a garden in front, and some other stuff. Zombies will constantly spawn, so it's actually not a bad place to farm as they'll go for the plants, some of which will explode.
Around launch there was an exploit for getting all of the heads necessary for Shang Tsung's throne room in around 10 minutes or so. I love MK11, but there was no way in hell that I was going to grind all of those fatalities.

I like the hidden easter egg room in _Quake's_ E2M7, The Underearth. If you shoot all the faces that you find around the level, a secret area will open up with the initials of Tim Willits and Theresa Chasar, who worked on the game.
Arkham Asylum is my favorite secret room, teasing a sequel when it already is the best superhero game of all time.

Man, I wish Bethesda had just made Fallout 76 a single player game. I finally played Fallout 4 a few months ago and absolutely loved it. I actually bought Fallout 76 without even realizing what it actually was. I had of course seen a lot of people roasting the game in reviews and stuff but I guess I figured “surely it isn’t a total disaster. If it’s even half as good as Fallout 4, I want to play it.”
When I first started the game, I was hyped because it looked really good compared to Fallout 4. Essentially, right after leaving the vault, I realized it was an online only game and I returned it because I’m just not interested in that type of game. I really hope we get a good single player Fallout campaign soon.
Yeah, no one's fully sure why Bethesda decided to go off the rails that far and make an MMO with zero real experience at it, completely forsaking their bread and butter so much. Well, besides the $$$ that MMOs can make...if they're GOOD.

Of the secret rooms listed here, I did the Super Mario level from Dying Light. I really enjoyed that nod to the classic game. Not sure I would have the patience for Mortal Kombat 11's Shang Tsung's room... unless that was the only game I had and could play for a good while.

Best secret room in recent memory is not just a room , but a whole quest. Destiny 2s zero hour mission. I consider it fitting because there are no hints in the game that the quest exists.
Same goes for the Whisper mission. Zero hints were given till it was discovered by someone randomly.
Both levels rewarding great guns. Love them!
Niobe's Torment, having to shoot specific symbols with specific guns while standing in specific places for 7 rounds. Last round of course having to shoot blindly with elemental weapons. Your hints? Obscure 12th century French, Swedish, and Japanese literature.

The mk11 one had a bug at launch where you could get through the door without doing the fatalities, i managed to do it before it got patched lol
My favorite secret room is The Infinite Abyss in AC Unity.
When you jump off a building you can get into this room. The only problem is it is not explorable. You will stuck in the air for some moments then die.
Still a pretty cool Easter egg though. 👍

Another cool Dying Light room would be the Plants Vs. Zombies room. To get to it, you have to go to the area with the giant antenna tower, and you have to go to eastern-southeastern part of the area. The easiest way to get there is via zipline from the tower. While there, it's kinda like a valley, and at the end there's a large drop into a cave. You have to go around the cave, and climp the cliffs, and there will be an orange flower. Interact with it, and there'll be a kinda small room with a building, a garden in front, and some other stuff. Zombies will constantly spawn, so it's actually not a bad place to farm as they'll go for the plants, some of which will explode.

Around launch there was an exploit for getting all of the heads necessary for Shang Tsung's throne room in around 10 minutes or so. I love MK11, but there was no way in hell that I was going to grind all of those fatalities.
