I have a 2024 Versys 1000. It is a great tall road tourer which is extremely comfortable. Still have to have a toy in the garage for those weekend blasts though.
Versys 1000 is a great motorcycle I decided against it due to its weight & opted for the Versys 650 much more manageable for me & is powerful enough for the road.
I think the Suzuki GSX-S1000 GX would be my choice of the versys 1000. Like you mentioned, the engine is a bit down on power compared to the competition.
I'm not sure if upgrade is the correct term, especially in regards to the SX,as the 1100sx is slower top end than the 1000sx.. Saying that. I'm very tempted to buy it.
Have you considered the 1000SX now the 1100SX? It's a sport tourer that lets you tour and have the fun of a sportbike. Although it is a lot less power than a sport bike.
@@TwoWheelTex Come and try British heat. It's really humid and energy draining. I've been in plenty of places hotter and been more comfortable than the sticky heat we get here.
@@magikdethmonkey In Texas you go anywhere between Houston and Brownsville and it's guaranteed to be so humid it's like breathing water. And 38C+ And for the last 3 years I've been living in Louisiana where it's 98% 99% humidity and 38C+ everyday during the summer. I think I know miserably humid and hot.

Same, I have a versus 1000 and thinking about the MT-07 as the “ fun bike”

Kawasaki upgraded that Versys and their Ninja 1000 SX to 1100 cc engines for 2025.

Nice video, been thinking of getting an ADV, touring on sports is a pretty painful experience 😭

Love mine. Not boring. Low on power ?? Then people are not using the engine properly.
the proper name for them is a Crossover bike its the in-between a naked tourer and an adventure bike
This or the 1000sx?
Lowering kit for an ADV....😅
Nice video but, you sound like your out of breath whilst riding??
Us shorties won’t look at them.
Women not at all
But women as a pillion, once mounted, not so bad.
LOL you Brits make me laugh. 30C is hot? Daily temps here for months at a time are 38C+.
To be fair, he lives in a place where the average temp is 9-18°C 😂
Tell it to the Inuit.
@@Frilabird true, I've just always gotten a kick out of the Brits acting like their dying from the heat, on what us Texans consider a beautiful day.
