Good question, thank you..
I recommend reading Bruce Lipton PhD's excellent book "The Biology of Belief".
There is a very large amount of peer-reviewed, published medical literature on the effects of frequencies, do some research if you're interested. Look for things that have been published in the recognised medical science magazines, you probably know of a few. These are reputable sources, as they publish only papers that have been peer-reviewed.
John Beaulieu PhD notably had one such paper published (many years ago now) regarding the body's neurological and chemical reaction to particular frequencies. His book "Human Tuning" is a great read, I encourage you to check it out as well.
And if you didn't believe in, say for instance aspirin, would it still help you if you had a headache?
