Lots of people asking about the cost of this room. So far with the green and the chipping fringe we're about $2500 not counting shipping and material which is about another $300.
a2fitness Really no maintenance but use a shop vac and not a beater bar vacuum since it will slow the putting speeds. Life? Since it is a heavy face weight 100% NYLON TURF which is very dense, actually feels like your standing on a firm real grass green, it will last for decades!
Love the videos, I'm really intrigued about that Bunker insert... This video is the only one i see on, would be nice to see a full review on it if you still have it.
Camry Golf Carpet is the best for indoor putting. Saw Webb simpson and Kevin na say it was great so I checked it out. I used that In my simulator room and I sculpted the hitting mat in the middle of it. Great video !
Great job by the pro! Matt this would have been a bridge too far without him for sure. It looks great and the divot & sand capabilities set this practice surface apart from any other. Thanks for sharing.
What do I think?? I'd say you are the luckiest man in the world!!!! Love what you have done to the place. Can't wait to see some videos from the Mr. Short Game bent green putting surface room. Next up the retractable golf net. I am soooo jealous. Stay safe.
Mr Do it Yourself ( kinda ) hehe love it! Looks awesome, that's exactly what I could need as well! All practice areas are close in LA can you imagine? :// looks goood
LOL...great comments and you two were finishing each other sentences too:) Can't wait to see it all done and learn more about golf. Have a great TGIF and weekend.
high ceilings in a spare room are super rare lol I'm not rich, but a good simualator (skytrak) is only 4k to set up with an impact screen, projector, and mat. I live in Canada so it would almost be a no brainier if I had the room! Golf simulators are $40/hour - winters 4-5 months - 150 days - you'd wanna golf 100 of those days = 4k for one winter.
Just refitted the grip on my wedge today, never done it before. Kind of a gamble as we have the club championship tomorrow. 🤣 But I’d put my trust in you and it turned out to work well 👍
This is pretty amazing, I bet your astatic, so happy for you brother. Well deserved for sure helping shmoes like me taking stroke after stroke off from our game with extra bonus content you work hard to make to entertain us.
Been considering buying the divot insert they make. My hitting surface is pretty rough on the elbows. Looking forward to seeing more of this sim room build. And would like your thoughts on the divot insert when you get the sim done. Keep up the great content.
Matt, not that you have indoor range, would love to see a series similar to you 5 shot improvement series, but done only with your simulator and software available. One of the things I most difficulty with other than not being able to get outside, was in short game area, most are very small and it’s hard to do your shag bag drills and sharing the area. Would love to see how you would do it
Thanks for video. I was doing research on what mat to buy and Custom Design Golf was on my short list of 2. I’m very interested in seeing how the divot action works. I sprained my left wrist this summer and looking for the mat that will put the least amount of strain on it
@@harmon411 I went with the divot action mat. The other mat that I looked at was the fiberbuilt Golf practice station. You can get from Costco for about $270. If did not choose the divot action I would have picked a fiberbuilt mat. The practice station was the cheapest option. I’m happy with my divot action mat, but have not used it as much as I intended as I broke my left shoulder and right wrist just after I got hit and have just got my shoulder in to a point where I can play without pain in late August and have not needed indoor range.
@@duffer0309 Sorry to hear about the injury. Hopefully you're still healing well. I'm trying to get a divot action but can't get in touch with them. Thanks for your response.
Love watching your channel, great input and entertaining. I purchased The Monster hitting mat, thought it was going to be a good buy but I’m very disappointed with it. I’ve injured myself with it as it is hard on the joints. I’m interested in the Divot Action mat but I’ve tried everything from their website to contact them with no luck. Do you have any information on them so I can contact them?
Just wish so bad I could get my hands on that awesom, awesome sand simulator, one thing I need to work on the most considering I only gold at my club in my hole life and they only have sand traps these days on the back nine and there not taking care off cause the board I even offered to come every morning and fix them for the day
You actually probably dont want holes, think about it, little half inch or inch deep holes are better cause you dont have to bend over to pick the balls out of the hole.
thanks once again great video, how is GA ? just place the order with John at custom design golf bent green after watching this video. let me know if you planning to install any camera to record swing. i can't make up my mind on that. thanks again and good luck with GA
Wish I could could afford an indoor putting green, screen simulator setup... Can I ask what is the purpose of the fridge around the edges? Is it for looks only? Doesn't look like you'd have much room to stand on it and chip or putt from it.
Dwayne S It was not intended to be a chipping area. It was only intended to trim out and fit the putting BentGreen turf (15 ft wide w/o seaming) to the room, but also add to the overall room aesthetic. MrShortGame wanted to maximize the putting area and the DivotAction mat will function well with the Combo, First-Cut/Deep Rough Insert for chipping purposes.
Here’s an idea for a video. Taking your swing from the practice range to the course. I knock down flags all day on the range, then I can’t hit a shot straight to save my life on the course. Very discouraging.
I can only say this Matt you must have the most incredible wife in the world , she lets you take a perfect theatre room and turn it into a putting green inside the house no less .
I don’t see how a little fringe of fringe is that useful?? Seems like you would need 8’ to practice putting or chipping from the fringe on to the green.
I am a Carpet Installer by trade . I wouldn't have done the fringe that way . To many " Nap " Changes , Gives it a different color Look . I would have made the fringe all go in the same direction giving the room a more uniform Appearance
@@johncarilli2227 Some truth to that , but from my 50 plus years in the industry that doesn't happen . fibers have a natural flow and must be installed that way
@@johncarilli2227 I am aware the differences . Been involved in many Synthetic Grass installs . Football stadiums batting cages ,Put Put courses and even Lawns . So believe what you want
Larry Vawter Just to clarify your judgement... We never use polypropylene or inferior similar fibers but our fringe turf uses a special turf and has a secondary thach. As it is allowed to rest after being unrolled the fibers refresh and will not lay flat over short order.
We need to know what happened to that money game with coach. I'm unsubscribing if MSG continues to ignores this inqiry, and am calling on others to do the same. Why did you punk out on the money game Mr Shortgame??? Come on man up

is this at your house?
Wow, thats pretty affordable for what you got! Can you get some good close-up of the surface? Interested to see what that's like.
Thats not bad. Its got me thinking. I wonder what life expectancy and maintenance is like.

Some spaces have that cosy look and feel - this is looking very nice. Doesn't look cheap either.

I was expecting some holes in the wall. Lucky you had John there to help you out. Peace out brother!
should have core drilled and put some holes in.Also i heard silica sand is necessary to help stand the turf up is it needed here?
Looks great! Could've done Camry trunk carpet for 600.
Next time.
So what's the material put underneath the SIGPRO matt? Can you put on this if you have the Uneekor EYE XO
This looks awesome would be great to see a review on it once your all ready.
This thing is insane!
Ultimate. Golf. Cave.
Do you still think that hitting mat is one of the best you have used for indoor use?? I'm looking at ordering one for myself very soon.
will you be adding cups in the ground? or just pick targets to hit to?

Amazing the amount of house you can get in Ga. that’s a 10 million dollar home in Ca. Good call getting out of that state....
How are you supposed to chip from the fringe without hitting the wall?
Very cool! Drive balls thru the drywall till your screen gets there!

What about the holes? Maybe you should have but the green on a raised floor? So you can have putting holes?

What manufacturer/model was the 'grass' for the bent green feel?

Did you do any sound proofing?

Are there any breaks.
Can u tell me the Stimp on this green?
you know his only requirement when house shopping is high ceilings.
i guess it's kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Torin Huxley Flixportal :D
@Khalil Diego thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it !!
@Torin Huxley No problem xD
Good luck at the BMW Billy Horschel. (J/K)
Cool ,maybe one day . What is the cost ?
Anyone know the dimensions of this room by chance?
Golf 24 seven all year long, sweet!
I didn’t know you were a wrestling guy Matt.
Here’s an idea for a video. Taking your swing from the practice range to the course. I knock down flags all day on the range, then I can’t hit a shot straight to save my life on the course. Very discouraging.
How much per foot?
I can only say this Matt you must have the most incredible wife in the world , she lets you take a perfect theatre room and turn it into a putting green inside the house no less .
And the total cost was?
I don’t see how a little fringe of fringe is that useful??

Why put the fringe around the perimeter if you can use it? Doesn't make sense????
Next video from Mr Short Game, “how to repair holes in drywall”
