Alright guys my good friends at Tradetools and ego have hooked me up with the 56 volt 52 cm battery operated lawn mower. I think this things from the future.

I bought mine in 2019 - and I can't be happier. Because it folds so compactly, I can stand it on its back end (vertically), and it takes up almost NO space in my garage. I simply lay it down, pull the handle up and I am gone. I spent more time jockeying my petrol-powered mower around so I could store it without taking up too much room. And it cuts amazing! I was so happy with it, I went out and bought the weed trimmer and the chainsaw. The weed trimmer is leaps and bounds above the competition. It has auto-string loading so when you need new string - you can literally put a new on in in about :30 seconds! The chains saw is not one I would take in the woods to cut down trees - but for my need - maintaining the trees around my house - its perfect. Each product comes with a better and a charger. - AND all batteries are interchangeable between tools. And you are right - it is the future for sure. Except for my backpack style leaf blower - all my lawn tools are battery.
Makes me want to go buy a house just so I can have a lawn to mow. What a weapon.
The ECO is beautiful easy the Handel slides and you only bend the arms just to put on top of the engine, it's also smooth and not so loud like gas mower but it's the future of lawnmower.

The mower will start in either of the handle positions (extended or not) as long as the clips are locked. Great mower and great review 👍

I purchased the ego push mower last year and it was great but I would suggest getting the high lift blade for a better mow. The stock blade isn't the best and found that it didn't lift the grass blades and ended up matting it down. I purchased the high lift blade towards the end of the mowing season and it worked much better. For me, the best cut came at the #3 height setting.
I dumped all my ICE yard power tools yr.s ago with EGO, all 4 units are quite good.
They are really great until your battery wears out in about three years. Expect to pay about 80% of the cost of the board just to replace one battery. Currently that 7.5 amp battery cost almost $400 and the mower cost on the 599.
I bought this last month and like you I can't say enough good things about this mower. Yeah it's not cheap but you get a tool that works for you. My old Briggs & Stratton gas mower was temperamental and every year I had to mess with the carburetor and flush out old gas. No more, electric all the way baby.
The problem with the EGO is when it fails and needs repairing. Even when in warranty after the 3rd year of use, it took a month to get it done. Now in its 6th year, my EGO has failed again ….. but finding a place that will repair it has been a challenge.
Its funny it took the mower to convert. That's the last thing I've convert to battery. The ego multi tools blower chainsaw, hedger so much better having a motor instant on and off no fuel and less weight, less parts to maintain. Its a no brainier... I just wish my mower had a handle on the back for emptying the catcher, looked like this one does maybe newer model I have the twin blade... but boy does it fill the catcher well better than a commercial torro used to have to stop to stuff the grass into the back of the bag or it would stall long before the catcher was full, after a while of cutting checked the bag didn't need it at all.. just mow away until its 80/90% and empty it. Oh and if it cuts out? No you don't need to walk around and pull a cord like a cave man.
Hopefully the prices lower a bit to make it more competitive with the gas machines
What model is this? It looks like an older model based on the number of height adjustments, the placement of the handle and the self propelled handle.

How long before somebody figures a way to pack a half-dozen of the largest capacity Ego batteries into a solar battery bank?
I just bought one last weekend and I can't wait for my grass to grow long enough just so I can use it.....and I hate yard work.
