The science / point of BulletProof Coffee and or any variation that uses MCT and another type of fat.
Note: I'm not affiliated with any "Bulletproof" products and this video isn't about Bulletproof brand coffee beans. By Bulletproof coffee, I'm referring to the recipe of (give or take) 2TBS Butter, 1TBS C8 MCT Oil per cup of coffee (blended).
If you're interested in de novo lipogenesis, re-esterification and lipolysis and the role these play in body fat reduction, check out Dr. Peter Attia's blog post: peterattiamd.com/how-to-make-...

I was put on Keto by my neurologist and it was the only thing that completely stopped my seizures. Even anti-convulsants weren’t as successful as removing all sugars. Only issue is that if you start from a healthy weight, no matter how much you eat, it’s hard to maintain and you end up losing too much. I was losing 2-3 lbs a week and tracking my calories, which were 2,400-2,600 per day and couldn’t keep weight on to save my life. My energy was through the roof and I could focus like I was a teenager again, but people who don’t have excess fat to lose need to avoid being in a constant state of Ketosis. My dad is a doctor and I studied all of this stuff in college, more on a molecular level. It works, but you need to figure out what to do if you want long-term low carb and you’ve not got extra fat to lose.

Going keto is a tool at the extreme of low carb diets. It isn't an ideal for all. Low carb can work for most and i suspect for some higher carb diets can work pretty well. But if you have seizures keto is a powerful tool. If you are getting fat or are obese due to insulin resistance a truly low carb diet going toward keto are useful.
But how you take your coffee is no grand key to ideal weight loss. It is just a minor means that I quickly dismissed.

Eight or nine years ago, I was on very low carbohydrate diet and I'd radically increased my cold exposure plus I'd been running for a year. I found myself eating straight salted butter with relish. And using lots of fat on my vegetables as well both cooked and raw. I'd gone from a waist 42+ to a waist of 34 inches.

Bulletproof coffee is a bit different... If you are using lap tested, toxin free "clean" coffee beans - It's bulletproof coffee. A lot of people don't realize most of negative side effects they get from coffee... Is simply from toxins in the coffee beans. Dave Asprey has done a tone of research and I can attest to how much better I feel when I use lab tested clean coffee beans over regular coffee beans. You should check out his book, "The Bulletproof Diet" . Great stuff, it literally changed my life.

Butter is just overchurned (more concentrated) cream, so I dont think chemically there's any difference in the end product, and no reason to expect anything unusual from this cup of coffee (energy-wise) that you wouldnt get from coffee with cream, other than a slightly different taste. And if you use salted butter, it'll make the cup taste a bit less bitter.

    The tradition had died

    Don't think its produced anymore
Happy to hear we are not alone!

i even found a new opened cafe in which they serve you some types of buttered coffee only.
they use proper ingredients so their coffee is quite expensive.
