Me too 😊. Seriously, I wrote these arrangements, play through them 2-3 red to make sure, they're not too hard, record - and there comes the next one. I wish I had time to practice them myself.
Another winner, Sandra! You always give great explanations with your lessons. I learned this yrs ago in E to facilitate some cascading open string ideas... I might try moving it to F and see how to combine the approaches. Thanks as always! Be well!
That's called block chords. I like that style too, but it can be hard to play, bc the chords change all the time. For this tune it was easy and perfect ;-)

Wonderful... This mashed up with "Over the Rainbow" was a pop hit a few years ago. I've thought about combining the two and you've given me the building blocks. Thank You...! 😎
Very nice Sandra, and I liked the subtle use of tremolo during your performance. I find it amusing that the usual name for the vibrato arm on guitars is called the tremolo, as vibrato is a change pitch and tremolo is a change in volume. :-) xx
Lovely arrangement. I requested this song in a comment on another video, so thank you for making this tutorial. Downloaded the tab and starting to learn.

I didn't like jazz, when I went to the conservatory. I just went there, bc the Pop and Blues stuff was already boring, so I wanted to learn new stuff. But then I found that the jazz tunes were cool to play and after about one year I really started to like jazz. You have to make your ears get used to the new sounds of Tension Chords.
Bin erst gestern dazu gekommen.
I am playing guitar for 10 years, and when you said it's really reasy to learn and accessible to anyone, I was like "ok I should be able to learn in 10 minutes"... but.. am i the only one struggling here ? Those jazz fingers positions are killing me.
You should always, always know the basic jazz chords first, before attempting the king's discipline of Chord Melody. Check out my 2 chord tutorials: 1) Basic Jazz 7th chords (+ explanation!): ua-cam.com/video/Qx9hQrYx-8c/v-deo.html 2) Jazz Tension chords: ua-cam.com/video/86vKnTC8_QI/v-deo.html Otherwise you're just learning stuff by heart like a monkey. Understand what you're doing - theory helps a lot here too - and this one will be easy cheesy. So generally speaking, when I say "easy", I mean easy for Jazz :-)
Dont give up! Sandra's lesson on basic jazz chords is super helpful. Learn your roots on E and A and basic shapes then just play slowly. Getting the shapes in your muscle memory will come. I think of my fingers like origami, they fold and move around. Then music starts to come out🎶
Getting this under my fingers thanks to this lesson! Would love a chord melody lesson on Duke’s “Solitude” and Diana Krall’s “Frim Fram Sauce”. Fun tunes. Going to make a donation soon. God bless. Numbers 6:24-26.
Yes, really helpful and easy but great arrangement, i like this chord progression....and i like your teaching, just what i look for, a plain lesson to give us the change to add a couple of licks in between chords when they need to be played, never taking in abuse....jazz is a subtle sort of art, it ain't showing off as it is metal shredding....cheers sandra....
Agree with you, but I've encountered many jazz guitarists at sessions, noodling solos for hours. That's why I tell my students to sing their solos along (at least in their mind), so they have to breathe in between phrases, to stop the noodling.
Also grrrrreetings from Türkiye. Thanks for all your informative videos. You are one of my favorite guitar teachers with big range of jazz. songs. I will be chasing your videos.
Ah, that's sweet! 😄 I'll be back for this one Sandra! Another really great video, you're the best and you also have the best prices on your tabs as well! 😊
Thank you Sandra❤. This is genius and extraordinary. Can you please explain how these chords work. I am a beginner and can hardly think any chord beyond the basic 1,6,4,5 progression. I learned the jazz chords from your other lesson but dont understand how to apply them. Kindly direct me if you already have any lesson on this. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for your kind words! ❤️ Unfortunately I can't explain the whole analysis of this song in written form here. Theres some secondary dominants in there (A7 resolving to Dm7) and tritone subs (Db7 replacing G7).

Bin erst gestern dazu gekommen.
Also Äuglein offen halten 😊
Thanks for taking my request👍
I am playing guitar for 10 years, and when you said it's really reasy to learn and accessible to anyone, I was like "ok I should be able to learn in 10 minutes"... but.. am i the only one struggling here ? Those jazz fingers positions are killing me.
You should always, always know the basic jazz chords first, before attempting the king's discipline of Chord Melody.
Check out my 2 chord tutorials:
1) Basic Jazz 7th chords (+ explanation!): ua-cam.com/video/Qx9hQrYx-8c/v-deo.html
2) Jazz Tension chords: ua-cam.com/video/86vKnTC8_QI/v-deo.html
Otherwise you're just learning stuff by heart like a monkey.
Then music starts to come out🎶
great song, great lesson!
Glad you like it, Alex!
Getting this under my fingers thanks to this lesson! Would love a chord melody lesson on Duke’s “Solitude” and Diana Krall’s “Frim Fram Sauce”. Fun tunes. Going to make a donation soon. God bless. Numbers 6:24-26.
Thanks, Jesse! ❤️ Glad you like the tutorials. I don't think I know the that Krall song, but I'll give it a listen.
All your songs which you
teach I have listen them
almost all
Thanks for watching so diligently ❤️
Really nice lesson Sandra. Thank you.
Glad you dig it. Enjoy learning the tune and keep swingin' :-)
Epic! Will purchase those tabs. Thx!!!
Thank you! ❤️
Beautiful
Also grrrrreetings from Türkiye. Thanks for all your informative videos. You are one of my favorite guitar teachers with big range of jazz. songs. I will be chasing your videos.

Ah, that's sweet! 😄 I'll be back for this one Sandra! Another really great video, you're the best and you also have the best prices on your tabs as well! 😊
I hear your "I'll be back" in Arnie's accent 😂
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman thank you very much
