Miyako is the dark haired guitarist (she plays keyboards as well) and Midori is the blonde. They're effectively twin leads. Asami is the singer (don't worry, if you get to see more of her songs you'll get to hear her hold some longer notes). Miho on bass (though she left the band and was replaced by Fami) and the nuclear-powered Haruna on drums driving it along. You've just discovered another band to augment your Bandmaid reactions. They don't have any weak songs at all and I'm sure you'll be getting more recommendations and maybe some more band suggestions. The scene in Japan is oozing with talent.

Trust me they only get more impressive. I've been listening to metal for 5 decades - Slayer, Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, etc. and all are awesome, but sometimes they miss with a track or even an album. I have some favorites with Lovebites, but they just don't miss overall - they don't have any songs I would not listen to over & over. They are just incredible. If they played in the 80's/90's they would likley be considered 1 of the top 3-4 metal bands of all time (I believe they are the best). The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are elite level.

Gyaru fashion is defined by showy clothing, heavy tanning, bleached or dyed hair, and lots of makeup. So you really could only apply that term to maybe Midori but we all know she does have a bodybuilding career on the side where dyed hair and tanning is a big part of their stage presentation 🤷 so I wouldn't even put her into that category either, she is not some fake young twenty-something poser like a GYARU.
Welcome from the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world. This concert was in 2021 under tight Covid restrictions, audience limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks and no shouting or cheering. Part of the reason the band do not move around the stage as much as normal. The guitarist (and classically trained pianist) with long black hair, Miyako, is 4 or 5 months pregnant at this time. She played the near two hour concert without a break. The blonde 'Amazon Warrior' guitarist is Midori. She is also a body builder and has finished high in contests in Japan. Both play lead. I think all the band members have a 'Greek Goddess' vibe going. Some recommendations for further listening if I may. Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. Thanks for taking a listen to LOVEBITES. They’re primarily power and thrash metal with a few outliers (there’s some person who copies and pastes that they play eclectic metal, but that doesn’t exist and his reasoning is silly). They’re damn good musicians and definitely on my list of bands to see someday. When BAND-MAID played at Yokohama Arena, 3/5 of LOVEBITES attended to support the maids. LOVEBITES rose out of the ashes of other failed bands and stalled solo careers, something they reference in the lyrics of their song, “When Destinies Align.” Lastly, the only Japanese bands I’m aware of that have dedicated lead and rhythm guitarists are BAND-MAID and Nemophila, and it’s a very recent thing with Nemophila.
Oh, and a lot can be done to live recordings. The late Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot told me that’s why they never released a live album, because so many other bands “sweeten” their recordings after the fact.
That my friend was the phenomenal new leader on top of the power/thrash metal genre of heavy metal bands - LOVEBITES. Minor correction - Midori and Miyako are both lead guitars - they share that role and always take turns going back and forth. Next song by them should be "Judgement Day". FYI - this video showed their old bass player Miho, who left in August 2021. Fami is the new bass player and she is a 21 year old phenom showcase on their newer tracks (like Judgement Day). Haruna is one of the best drummers in all of Japan.
Wow...yeah another 1st time reaction to Lovebites. Band Maid is exceptional Rock and Punk influences and Lovebites is old school metal, classical influences and rock all blended together often in the same song. Insane talent as always from a Japanese band and they play Power, Speed, Prog, Rock, Thrash, classical piano, acoustic guitar and even ballet dance. This band will surprise but will never disappoint especially LIVE.

Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word because they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and extraordinary musicians. They have influences from the great metal bands from the past but they have been developing their own, unique style. Midori and Miyako (M&M) play both lead and rhythm guitar and those twin lead guitar solos are already legendary, in just seven years. Great reaction, thank you. The blond guitarist you were pointing is Midori. She started to learn piano at around two or three years of age and electric organ at eight. She moved to Kyoto when she entered university and gave up both instruments but started to learn guitar at 20. Midori is a graduate of Musicians Institute Japan in Osaka. She also practicing Bodybuilding. Other guitarist Miyako is also trained piano player, she start learning guitar at age 18. They are both lead and rhythm guitarist depends on part of the song. From what I can see, there is no need to comment on the guitarists! However, as for drumming, I usually watch them more than guitars, especially at concerts! Over 40 years of going to concerts, the drummer Haruna puts most of them in the shade with the exception of Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy, to name a few! You should check out where it all began. Aldious was the first commercially successful All Female Metal Band since Show Ya from the 1980s..20 yr streak of no Female Japanese Metal band hating even 1 hit. Aldious formed in 2008, no labels were interested, so they formed their own label and have had a no atop string of 9 studio albums all making the Billboard Japan top 100 albums for the year they came out. If you're serious about liking kick-ass drummers, I suggest you might also want to put some focus towards Mexico. They have a kick-ass 3 person band with a kick-ass drummer who also sings lead on some of their songs (not to take anything away from the other two who are also kick-ass). They do rock, not metal. This band is called The Warning. You cannot go wrong on any of their songs but their live performances are magnificent. I would suggest you take a 22 sided die and roll to select one of their songs from the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico city. My favorite song by them? Always the last one I heard.

Also, while normally I prefer them live, on this specific song I prefer the video with Alessia Cara because Pau her voice is more prominently featured. (Pau vocals fanboy here.) Having had some more time to consider by now my suggestion would probably be Disciple. Multiple singers and impressive drum visuals.

Miyako is the dark haired guitarist (she plays keyboards as well) and Midori is the blonde. They're effectively twin leads. Asami is the singer (don't worry, if you get to see more of her songs you'll get to hear her hold some longer notes). Miho on bass (though she left the band and was replaced by Fami) and the nuclear-powered Haruna on drums driving it along.

Trust me they only get more impressive. I've been listening to metal for 5 decades - Slayer, Priest, Maiden, Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, etc. and all are awesome, but sometimes they miss with a track or even an album. I have some favorites with Lovebites, but they just don't miss overall - they don't have any songs I would not listen to over & over. They are just incredible. If they played in the 80's/90's they would likley be considered 1 of the top 3-4 metal bands of all time (I believe they are the best). The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are elite level.

So you really could only apply that term to maybe Midori but we all know she does have a bodybuilding career on the side where dyed hair and tanning is a big part of their stage presentation 🤷 so I wouldn't even put her into that category either, she is not some fake young twenty-something poser like a GYARU.

Welcome from the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world.
This concert was in 2021 under tight Covid restrictions, audience limited to 50% capacity with mandatory masks and no shouting or cheering. Part of the reason the band do not move around the stage as much as normal. The guitarist (and classically trained pianist) with long black hair, Miyako, is 4 or 5 months pregnant at this time. She played the near two hour concert without a break. The blonde 'Amazon Warrior' guitarist is Midori. She is also a body builder and has finished high in contests in Japan. Both play lead. I think all the band members have a 'Greek Goddess' vibe going.
Some recommendations for further listening if I may. Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Winds of Transylvania, (written for a crazy anime series Vlad Love) Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin Introduction, Edge of the World.

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3

They’re primarily power and thrash metal with a few outliers (there’s some person who copies and pastes that they play eclectic metal, but that doesn’t exist and his reasoning is silly). When BAND-MAID played at Yokohama Arena, 3/5 of LOVEBITES attended to support the maids. LOVEBITES rose out of the ashes of other failed bands and stalled solo careers, something they reference in the lyrics of their song, “When Destinies Align.”
Lastly, the only Japanese bands I’m aware of that have dedicated lead and rhythm guitarists are BAND-MAID and Nemophila, and it’s a very recent thing with Nemophila.
Oh, and a lot can be done to live recordings. The late Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot told me that’s why they never released a live album, because so many other bands “sweeten” their recordings after the fact.
That my friend was the phenomenal new leader on top of the power/thrash metal genre of heavy metal bands - LOVEBITES. Minor correction - Midori and Miyako are both lead guitars - they share that role and always take turns going back and forth. Next song by them should be "Judgement Day". FYI - this video showed their old bass player Miho, who left in August 2021. Fami is the new bass player and she is a 21 year old phenom showcase on their newer tracks (like Judgement Day). Haruna is one of the best drummers in all of Japan.
Wow...yeah another 1st time reaction to Lovebites. Band Maid is exceptional Rock and Punk influences and Lovebites is old school metal, classical influences and rock all blended together often in the same song. Insane talent as always from a Japanese band and they play Power, Speed, Prog, Rock, Thrash, classical piano, acoustic guitar and even ballet dance. She moved to Kyoto when she entered university and gave up both instruments but started to learn guitar at 20. Midori is a graduate of Musicians Institute Japan in Osaka. She also practicing Bodybuilding. Other guitarist Miyako is also trained piano player, she start learning guitar at age 18. They are both lead and rhythm guitarist depends on part of the song. From what I can see, there is no need to comment on the guitarists! However, as for drumming, I usually watch them more than guitars, especially at concerts! Over 40 years of going to concerts, the drummer Haruna puts most of them in the shade with the exception of Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy, to name a few! Good reaction, I am sure you will be inundated with recommendations, so take your pick. As far as I can see, there are no bad ones at all! Enjoy!

Japanese women drummers are among the best drummers in the world today. So is Lovebites Haruna in the heavy metal sector.
Haruna has no problem playing this tempo over a 2 hour heavy metal show. As far as the two guitarists are concerned, both are lead guitarists.

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

Also never seen anyone get the name of the song wrong before, especially when its in the title of the video you are watching. And while I'm on a roll, I'll point out that you've somehow managed to convert the original stereo sound down to mono. YES!! these ladies are top shelf good, when it comes to Rock/Metal coming out of Japan, these ladies for metal and Band-Maid for rock are at the tip of the spear (not followers), there are a few others from other countries that are very good, (Nightwish from Finland, The Warning from Mexico, Rolling Quartz from Korea). it seems to me the U.S. has really dropped the ball when it comes to hard music

Aldious was the first commercially successful All Female Metal Band since Show Ya from the 1980s..20 yr streak of no Female Japanese Metal band hating even 1 hit. Aldious formed in 2008, no labels were interested, so they formed their own label and have had a no atop string of 9 studio albums all making the Billboard Japan top 100 albums for the year they came out.
They have no bad songs.

If you're serious about liking kick-ass drummers, I suggest you might also want to put some focus towards Mexico. They have a kick-ass 3 person band with a kick-ass drummer who also sings lead on some of their songs (not to take anything away from the other two who are also kick-ass). They do rock, not metal. This band is called The Warning. You cannot go wrong on any of their songs but their live performances are magnificent. I would suggest you take a 22 sided die and roll to select one of their songs from the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico city. My favorite song by them? Always the last one I heard.
Their version of the old Metallica number Enter Sandman would make a good starting place, the live version from Teatro Metropólitan
@@tonym480 While their reinterpretation of Enter Sandman (I won't call it a cover) is very impressive, I prefer their original songs. Also, while normally I prefer them live, on this specific song I prefer the video with Alessia Cara because Pau her voice is more prominently featured. (Pau vocals fanboy here.)
Having had some more time to consider by now my suggestion would probably be Disciple. Multiple singers and impressive drum visuals.

As others have mentioned, they are twin lead guitarists. I've complained about the volume during video playback and now I can hear it. Thank you. However, to listen to Lovebites, Midori (blonde lead guitarist) should be in my left ear and Miyako (dark haired lead guitarist) should be in my right. Your video output is in mono, not stereo as it should be. Sorry to be such an ass but Lovebites fans are accustomed to excellence.

Dude, If you like this type of music, Lovebites literally don't have a bad song. Just songs you like better than others. I prefer live but dam if they don't make some epic studio videos too. And they have a lot of songs to sample.

please help spread the word, this band's label does very little to promote them outside of Asia, and have gotten to where they are internationally via social media such as your reaction video right here, and they very much deserve to be a big name on Metal's international stage.
No rhythm they are both leads watch Break The Wall and her solo will blow you away and Judgement Day to see them both back and forth they both do lead and rhythm
