1988 was a great year. Lots of great figures and vehicles that year. If I had a favorite weapon/accessory from that year it's got to be Hardball's grenade launcher; the sculpting and detail was phenomenal on it. Plus the chamber could pop out so you could pretend he was reloading. Lots of fun memories there.

Formbx figured out a way to attach the harpoon gun to the air tank of the Hydro Viper. That way you can put the knife in his good hand and carry all the gear.
Because I'm only just getting back into GI Joe and because he's not in the Sunbow cartoon, I totally forgot about Shockwave, but I remember that was a favorite of mine back in the day. Gonna have to add that to my small "collection" when the cons restart. What a great look.
Wish you guys would continue this top 10 series through the 90s 00s and modern Era. Never stop!

Concept art for Hydro Viper shows the harpoon gun holstered to the techno-bit on his ankle, but that wasn't actually engineered into the final figure.
Spearhead and Max are my favorite. GI Joe has enough dogs and birds. They needed a cat.

I got one from eBay about a month ago, complete and in good condition, for less than $US20
