Cool videos. Thanks for making all these top 10 videos. Total trip down memory lane. Now I need to buy some O-rings and put all my Joes back together again!
Great list guys. Keep up the good work. As a kid I kinda dropped out after 88, but this made me appreciate some of the 89 a bit more. I never dropped anything in a radiator, but I do have a funny story. In 1984 my bud Todd and I went to the toy store and we couldn't make up our minds between Storm Shadow or Firefly. We were going to spend the night at his house playing with our Joes so we didn't want to get the same figure. Eventually I went with Storm Shadow and Todd went with Firefly. Later that night we were having a GI Joe vs Cobra showdown in the bathroom sink. Why? I have no idea. I know when we played with Star Wars the sink was the Return of the Jedi Jabbas pit creature that ate Boba Fett lol. But anyway, somehow my Storm Shadow's nunchuks fell down the drain. Im so embarrassed, I can still recall the drama. You'd of thought I lost the figure itself, not just an accessory. I do believe screaming was involved. So you can imagine Todd's parents reaction to hearing two little kids screaming from the bathroom. Of course they burst in expecting to see a bloody mess. I don't know probably picturing the bloody elevator scene in the Shining. Well there they are standing in the doorway looking at us and we stop screaming and just look at them blankly. Todd's dad Joe asks what's wrong, are ya'll OK? We tell him one of our toys has fallen down the sink drain. Immediately they were relieved. Todd's mom goes back to watching TV and Joe was so cool he went and got his wrench and actually dismantled the pipe under the sink. It didn't take long. A little bit of water drained into the catch pan and Joe felt around and with his giant hands pulled out a tiny toothpick size piece of black plastic between his finger tips. 😳 NUNCHUKS! We screamed. The look on his face was like, I know I did not just get down here on the floor, on my hands and knees, and take the sink apart for this. Needless to say, sinks, toilets, and bathtubs were all off limits for GI Joes. Wow that was a long story. Sorry.
That's awesome! As an adult I went into the bathroom to get scissors to open something for an unboxing video I was filming... I opened the package over the sink. So in a video somewhere on this channel I dismantled the trap under my sink to rescue and item.
Happy to see Marauders Sarge get some love. I'm honestly surprised to see that more and more collectors rate this version as the best Sgt Slaughter figure in general.
Lot of cool figures from 89, Python Patrol, Night Viper and Stalker II the best Stalker, Annihilator, Backblast Alley Viper, Alley Vipers colours work well for me he looks wild!... Love your channel
This was my last year collecting Joes. High school and all that… But man I loved that version of Stalker! Such an improvement over Iceberg, who came with just a rifle.
Ok my last prediction for today, haha. Without looking trough the comments and seeing the vid, i guess these 10 will be named 1. Alley Viper 2. Night viper 3. Night force shock wave 4 Targat 5. Countdown 6. Deep Six 7. Annihilator 8. Rock n roll v2 9.Marauders slaughter 10. Stalker v2 (edit) 7 out of 10 let's how i am doing tomorrow.
I hated the re paint Python Patrol, Night Force, and Tiger Force lines. Only fans of those lines were the ones who came in late to collecting the line as a kid. Hasbro was running out of ideas around 1989.
@@Pegwarmers Never said coming in late was bad. I just hate re paints of the same figures. As far as saving money goes its a non issue. Because even the tiger force, night force, sky force, and other whatever repaint lines have gone up in value. Some collectors are going to spend money anyway. I find it weird that fans/collectors of the repaint lines and late 80,s to the 90,s gi joe lines get so defensive. Especially when its obvious most of them came in late when it came to collecting Gi Joe. Or they are collectors from the U.K.. Where tiger force and python patrol was really popular. Because they didnt get Joe figures into the latter half of 80,s. They had Action Force. Collectors coming in late should just accept and own up to it. There is no shame in that. No one is gate keeping anyone out of the Gi Joe collecting community. At the same time ol skool collectors are not shy about saying what Gi Joe figure lines were trash and not very popular. Its just something as a collector you just have to accept about the community as a whole. It is what it is. You guys do bring up the fact that the poll numbers get smaller the later get into the 90,s of the Joe line.
Thanks for the input. It's fun for me to have guests on, because otherwise it's just me talking to a camera. Dave was specifically in these videos because he painstakingly creates the polls that included every figure released each year.

@@Pegwarmers lol I imagine sinks all over the world have eaten many a toy.
I hope toilets were off limits for GI Joe play even before that. ;) Fun story.
Being born in 1973, I was out of joes by this time, but am collecting them now… think I might give my take on these figures in a video.

He's the third time we've had that torso repainted. Warthog, Triple T, USA, SM is my order.

Yeah, it was a great year for the brand!

We'll, Iceberg's backpack was dropped to pay for accessories or paint on another 86 figures.
@@Pegwarmers Lol no excuse. He should have at least come with the orca he turned into on the cartoon!
Love these top 10 videos
Trying to figure out what to do next... These are going to wrap up soon.
@@Pegwarmers Yeah only a few years to go. You could do a collection video. Think a lot of your subs would like to see that. Including me of course😉😊
07:32 Would you like it more if it was underhanded mounted like T2? Or he only had one minigun. Or cybernetics or power armor to boost his strength?
The T2 version would be a little more reasonable than holding them single handedly.

I think the Nightforce Shockwave needed black camo patterns on the grey.
That would have been rad!
@@Pegwarmers that's the thing that makes me prefer the original. And why I can't love the figure, even though I would have had I seen this one first.

Hasbro was running out of ideas around 1989.
Or saving money... On tooling. Is there anything wrong with not getting in on a line at the ground floor?

You mean 96 not 86. I don't think you were even born yet. You at garage sales in 86?
I was at garage sales in 86.
Im selling my gi joe 1989 and 1992 toys
Wow, any reason why?
