It's pretty clear they based the SHOCKWAVE appearance off the Robert Urich character in SWAT.
1992 G.I. Joe figures are my second favorite year. It's a close second behind 1986.This was the year I really got into collecting G.I. Joes as a kid. I think every mold in the basic line, the Eco Warriors, the DEF, and the Ninja Force was great.
I like the fact that these figures didn't go all in on being neon. They came with cool and unique weapons andaccessories.I still kick myself for not buying more from this year when I was a kid.
My 1992 top ten (based on the figures I have) are:
10) Storm Shadow
9) Wet Suit
8) Headhunter
7) Big Bear
6) Slice
5) Gung Ho
4) Destro
3) Firefly
2) Shockwave
1) Nunchuk
Thanks for doing this series.
Loving these top 10 per year videos! It's been a great ride reminiscing over the best years (and not the best years) of the ARAH line. I still have a lot of these and love them. Ninja Force were odd figures, but I loved them when I was a kid. 😁
I'm glad you are enjoying them! We had a lot of fun making them.
Wild Bill and Tjbang are my favorites from this year. Surprised Gold Head Steel Brigade isn't on the list. It's from that year isn't it??
Yeah the people from the Facebook group seemed to favor rare figures. I was worried Gold Head SB would be on the list. I would have been in trouble because he's the one figure I don't own.
I think you need to get a larger sample of fans for these surveys. Maybe Facebook isn't the right place.
The sample for the early years was pretty good. I'm not sure if it was poll fatigue or the fans in the group are all 80's fans.
Your friend must have a bunch of armies.
Dave collects pretty much just GI Joe and he doesn't shy away from buying the same guy over and over.
@@Pegwarmers He’s the guy that army-builds Clutch right?
@@aaronstepien2363 Dave army builds tons of characters.
No Firefly II ? Hey cool channel guys
We didn't make the lists...
I luv mad max! And head hunter look just like road warrior. I agree that mad max had some influence
What Joe head would you put on a Headhunter to make a Road Warrior figure?
Kevin your shirt looks NES inspired...have you played g.i. joe an american hero for the NES?
I ha e played the NES games but this is based on the AppleII game
@@Pegwarmers it's one of my favorite NES games and it has a great soundtrack
BANZAI from Ninja Force was awesome, c'mon guys! =)
Sound like you need to watch my Ninja Force Video
Complaining about accessories by 1992 is kind of moot. I’m surprised that there are as many figures on this list that I would have liked as a kid, with the terrible reputation of “90s Joe’s “
I don't mind that they used the weapons trees, but I wish they put some thought into what tree went with which figure, or made the trees very diverse to cover any figure.
@@Pegwarmers yeah, I know, we all feel that way, but it’s just something that I’ve come to accept. Actually when a list like this points out actually GOOD figures from the “Joe 90s” I consider it a type of “bonus”, if that makes sense
False, there were NO figures worth anything in the 90's
You are wrong about that. Some of the mail-aways from the 90's sell for big bucks.
