Lmao I witnessed a crew party because we were walking by d lounge and half of the cruise staff was walking in fancy clothes on the last night. Also it was cool to see all of the departments get together in the lobby on the maiden voyage of the wish.

Would crew members ever enjoy a gift type tip as well as a cash tip? If yes what kind of item? Can we tip or give a gift to any crew member that gives a magical moment?

all of the wages go in to an account you set up when you first go onboard but waiters also are a tipped position. Not sure how they go about working that out though! hope that helps?

I think the most discouraging thing is the WIFI right?
    I mean.. pay per GB?
who the hell does that? almost every single ship I've visited has unlimited plans per week or per day. Only Disney is still in the ancient times of charging per GB.

It is a little bit frustrating that that’s the case yeah! But I guess it’s a small price to pay to keep up to date with the world outside the bubble of the ship haha!

Working at the casinos you're lucky if you can buy food on your break. I had to pack a lunch, and if I didn't have time I was lucky to buy snacks if food court was too long. I'd rather pay for wifi and get free food. Free traveling around the world is better than stuck at the casino 🎰🌎

Thank you! I have my interview with Disney Cruise 🛳 via zoom this week. I've been an infant~preschool age caregiver at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe CA, and I've worked at Kids Quest/ Cyber Quest at Red Hawk casino. 100% guest comes first no matter what. However, loved being able to do the activities for free. I can live with paying my own wifi if I get free food. Even Heavenly was discounted food, but we had to pay 5 dollars when the guest were paying the full price. Worked every holiday while going to college, loved the kids. I'm graduating Lake Tahoe Community College on June 24th with my Associates in Early Childhood Education and Social Science. I really want to be able to walk with my class without being scared I'm not getting the job. Will Disney have me get started with the hiring process before or after the day I marked my availability? I don't want to miss my opportunity to work with the babies and children on ship and travel the world.

Good luck with your interview and congrats on your upcoming graduation! They don’t mind if you need to wait a little while based on your availability! Just be honest with them. If they’re really interested in you they’ll wait for you ☺️
